Dr. Dow and Dr. Green and great Chiropractors in Islandia. When I started coming here I was immobile and in a lot of pain. They took their time with me and let me move at my pace. Dr Gabe and Dr Mike in Melville are great as well. If you need a great Chiropractor either office are Great to go to when in need. The physical therapy is also a great with Dr Roland and Sosa, they are caring and bery helpful with your recovery, whether it is surgery or from an accident or workers comp ect. The staff in PT are phenomenal people and want you to regain your health and be fully recovered. They have the most up-to-date equipment with decompression for the neck and the back. It did wonders for me. If you speak Spanish then are equipped with several people who can help with translation. The front office are outstanding and polite. It is a nice clean office and nobody is pushing. They will help you with your questions and or concerns. Dr. Hildebrand is great with her pain management staff and can also get you on the road to recovery. I would never go anywhere else. I feel like Norm or Cliff when I walk in to my appointments because everyone knows you and makes you feel like you have been here for years. It is a pleasure and also a blessing to be able to have people who care and who want you on the road to recovery. have undergone 3 major spinal surgeries. My first was 2011, an 8- level cervical fusion. Prior to…read morethis, my balance and ability to walk were severely compromised. After leaving rehab, I decided, due to my wife's excellent experience, to go to Isand Sports. I was given a program designed for my specific needs. I was closely supervised, and monitored. I began to recover based on Dan Donato's - and staff's- care and expertise. But I didn't realize how much i recovered until our first beach trip. When we arrived at the beach, we discovered that the boardwalk to the beach was washed away, and this necessitated a long mile and a half walk burdened with beach stuff. It wasn't until we returned to our car that I had managed to easily walk 3 miles in sand. Prior to my treatment, 20 yards on pavement was an achievement. Two major surgeries later, I'm currently a patient at Island Sports. I'm never alone either on the exercise table or the gym. I have osteoporosis,a paralyzed right leg, have limited use of my arms, and am taking a blood thinner, so a fall could be catastrophic. I am supervised and offered any assistance I may look like I need. And many is the time that while standing to do an exercise, a welcome hand is placed on my back to steady and support me. I don't ask for this, but the point is I DON'T HAVE TO. I feel safe and in very good hands at Island Sports and Physical Therapy in Nesconset. It is also a place that provides the kind of atmosphere that patients feel welcome and also have the ability to interact with other patients, if one desires.
