We had a good snack/lunch at this Melli location after a local recommended we stop here to try the local "Erbazzone" savory thin pie. You can order at the counter or dine in and order directly from a server.
Despite a language barrier, and with some help from a local we managed to order a salad and the Erbazzone. The Erbazzone was tasty, filled with spinach, and a unique (to us) take on something that, in other places, might be a filo dough type crust as opposed to the more traditional pie crust they make it with here. Well worth trying.
We're vegetarians and, unfortunately, the mixed salad they brought had ham on top of it, but very quickly they replaced it. We offered to pay for both assuming the language issue was our fault but they wouldn't hear of it.
This was a comfortable place to sit, right next to Piazza de San Prospreo. (Which was under construction when we were there). It's a good stopping point in the middle of town for a drink and snack or lunch. read more
