The only downside is the price, it is crazy expensive. I bought a medium size tray filled with a variety of traditional Sardinian desserts and it was over €25. So, expect to pay premium, but in the end, the rich flavors and variety of choices were worth it. If you need to bring any dolci sardi home with you or bring as a dinner gift, this is the place to go.

One could say that he is trying to save a world that his about to disappear. Many of his pastries are made with sa pompia, which is a Citrus hybrid cultivated for its edible fruit that can only be found in some areas of Sardinia. This past Christmas I was on vacation on the island and drove to Alghero to pay a visit to his shop and try some of his panettone. I was not disappointed and meeting him in person was one of the highlights of my trip. I ended up purchasing several panettones to give as gifts to family and friends and they were all well received. Months later, I still get compliments on how delicious they were. We tried his famous Panspinoso (panettone made with artichokes, candied mandarin, honey, among others) and it was scrumptious! If you want to support a small business who also preserves tradition, this is the place to go
