Over time, under MY terms, we slowly started to work on my neck pain and how manipulating it over time would be a benefit. He never pushed but only accepted when I said "I wanna start small" . After 3 months of working very slowly, I don't even flinch when my neck is manipulated now. My entire family goes. My husband received physical therapy services for an injury and the other side of the office was met with care and commitment to long term healing. My teenagers go when baseball season picks up and now asks for an appointment when he is sore. When my youngest can sit still, he will most likely start preventative care. Unlike other therapists who treat…read morewithout really knowing what's going on, Dr. Lio asked me to get x-rays which showed a scoliosis curve in my spine and degeneration in some of my vertibrae -- something which had gone un-diagnosed for a decade. He also has refrained from 'adjusting' my spine (at my request as I have a phobia of 'cracking') and treated the curve and resulting pain with a deep tissue / myofascial massage which works really well. He is also supporting of my seeing a physical therapist elsewhere, which is great. He is very professional and thorough. And he didn't push any exotic treatments that I didn't want to get (unlike other chiropractors!). He gives a good name to the profession, and I appreciate his honesty and the quality of his care.
