We were excited to pick up a few pieces and make connections with great organizations for the arts. I loved watching the chalk artists at work, in awe of their talent, creating beauty with such simple tools. The onsite food trucks were fantastic and A Boy Named Sous is now on our list of trucks to follow! Our kids weren't with us on this day, but the kid's area looked amazing and it was great that there were many interactive exhibits and workshops for them. Or perhaps, when you compare it to the other amazing art shows in the Tampa Bay area, like Gasparilla Festival of the Arts and Mainsail Art Festival, that's why it falls short. Taking place in Hyde Park Village, all the booths are crammed one right next to the other, with a few located down odd little roads and entrances. This year's offerings seemed to be mostly paintings and framed photographs. And of course, lots of jewelry. There was also pottery, glass knickknacks, and leather aplenty. There were a few unique stalls I liked; one lady was selling handmade table runners made of gorgeous fabrics combined with leather and river rocks. Another had life-sized metal statues-if you have ever driven by Whatever Pops on Florida, you have seen their yellow one. Other than that, same old same old. If I'm in the area I might go next year, but I'll probably wait another week and head to St. Petersburg for Mainsail.

Personally, I'd rather have all the food options all in one spot which makes it easier to decide on what to eat. After all the food options at Food & Wine Festival, the food options at Summer Nights were incredibly underwhelming. Busch Gardens Management recently added more food options to supplement the serious lack of food options available but still did not add any international or exotic options other than boring American food you could find anywhere. My favorite part of Summer Nights is the return of the shows and the ability to be in the park later! I hope Busch Gardens Management would add more colored lights to illuminate the park, more international menu items, bring back shows to the Dragon Fire Grill, bring back the Summer Nights big name concerts, and bring back the exotic Hawaiian, Fiesta, and African Village theming and foods! Summer Nights is my least favorite festival out of all the Busch Gardens festivals because of the lack of Theming and unimpressive boring food options. In 2017, Busch Gardens Summer Nights did a great job with tropical Hawaiian, Fiesta, and African Village Theming and foods but has really scaled back the Summer Nights event in recent years. With the Florida summer heat, it's usually too hot to go to Busch Gardens until 5pm and it rains a lot in the afternoons so I don't go to Busch Gardens as much during the summer.

This open air theater is drawing more people to be interested in the play. The play is no mic. All sound projection is from the actors or actresses. This is very challenging when you have an open air theater that close to the I-275 highway and Hillsborough River with motor boat activities. I would like congratulate the actors have done a good job to project their voice and dialogue. This is my first attendance of Shakespeare play. I like it the have the costume and facial expressions.

Very good music scores. In the middle of the circus, they play the rearranged Halo with guitar and violin was beautiful. It stole my heart. The break through ice experience with circus is one of the kind. Can imagine what they can do on ice. The choreography of the dance and display is wonderful. The creativity and arrangements is unimaginable good. I like several moment of the show. One is Crystal in skate and on the aerial presentation. I mean on skates. It is good. I also like they creat skate park on ice. Many acrobatic jump move. When you come to the circus, you want to see the dangerous move that only they can do. No safety net no hardness. This was my first Cirque du Soleil show and I was left completely underwhelmed. I was able to follow the early part of the story, a girl named Crystal runs away from home, falls through some ice, etc. But after that, an LSD trip took over and the story didn't make a lot of sense until near the end when she came back out of the ice. Everything in the middle seemed to be a hodgepodge of random crap that just didn't go together. There were a few fun acrobatic things, but it was mostly ice dancing with weird costume changes and scenes that had no bearing on what the story (I think) was. Some of the music was nice, specifically the clarinet stuff. Near the middle of the show, there was a random Sia song that didn't fit what was happening. The end of the show was honestly the most entertaining because the entire cast skated around and did all sorts of fun tricks and acrobatics. I wish the rest of the show had been more like that. My wife and I left feeling disappointed and a bit cheated honestly. We paid a lot of money for tickets because based on Cirque du Soleil's reputation, we expected much better than a "meh" performance. I'll give them another try, but I think they should probably move on from ice dancing and stick to what they're good at (supposedly).
