Perhaps this entices unsuspecting travelers to pay more for something inside the store. What sorcery is this: making a man purchase extra gum? Who cares when I'm saving that $1.80 on my fill-up. But seriously I can't figure out why the pumps don't have lines around the block. I'm certainly not trying to add any more traffic, meanwhile my 3.5 Yelp readers will surely flock to pump 5 straightaway. I was down in HH for a bit over three weeks and saw that my "change oil" light flipped on the way down and as I had a lot of driving coming up - including driving back to Pennsylvania - I found Station One on the AAA recommendation list and booked an oil change there. They took my car at the appointed time, took care of the oil, and then did a safety check where they found a bubble on my passenger side rear wheel. They pointed out the problem, circled it in chalk, and told me that it was dangerous to drive on, and even gave me a quote for replacing the tire, or two tires. I don't know s*it about cars but I have great mechanics back home who I've trusted for over thirty years and after I got back to where we were staying I sent them a photo of the bubble on which you can actually see the bubble protruding, they absolutely agreed with the mechanics here and told me that under no uncertain terms that I could not drive back with any tire in that condition. They didn't even want me driving on any major highway until it was replaced. Plus, my guy says that the quoted price for replacement was very fair, that I wouldn't be doing better at home. Station One fit me in first thing in the morning allowing the plans for the rest of my day to go on as planned, they took about exactly the amount of time they told me to expect it to take and when they presented the bill it was less than the quotation. I can't thank them enough. We've all been reading about escalating tire prices and availability - they had access to what was needed overnight at a price that was more than reasonable.

There were about 8 open charging bays, I slid into one and walked inside to make myself a cuppa coffee. There was a coffee machine with three coffee blend choices. I chose the breakfast blend while my car was charging. I understand it's early in the morning. The woman behind the counter, maybe she worked a late shift but she wasn't very happy. They have a self-serve soft serve ice cream station along with a huge candy section where you can fill a bag with however much you want. Honestly, they seem to have just about anything you could need during your trip. My husband ended up buying a Hilton Head T-shirt, and I found the cutest oyster shell ornament for our Christmas tree. While checking out, I looked over by the ice cream section and spotted the viral chicken wing ice cream that's apparently made in Charleston, South Carolina. The female cashier told me my card didn't have enough funds and instructed me to scan it a second time. ​I left without any merchandise, but my bank statement shows I was actually charged twice. Both charges--one for $17.50 and another for $14.57--have fully posted to my account. I am out $32.07 and received absolutely nothing in return. ​Management needs to review the transaction logs for that day and train their staff on how to properly handle card reader errors. Until my money is refunded, I highly recommend checking your bank statements immediately if you choose to shop here.
