Then we attended a friend's wedding and saw how beautiful their pictures were. Needless to say, we stopped worrying about who would be the best choice and booked her. Mind you we only had about 30 minutes for first look photos, group shots, and an hour for couple pictures because of some internal issues with timing, but she ran around with us, from the roof top of our hotel to the playground of a local park, she worked every angle. GORGEOUS pictures, great lighting, creative and definitely many 'kodak' moments. Her specialty seems to be sunlight shots or using artificial lights to add a very dramatic or romantic look (as seen in the couture fashion magazines) For example, we were sitting at a park bench in front of the Grace Cathedral with the sun slightly peaking out behind us. However, at two recent events covered by Drew Altizer Photography, their photographer was extremely obtrusive, distracting, and disruptive to guests. Several attendees even commented on how much the photographer's behavior detracted from the experience. Instead of documenting the event, the photographer became the center of attention -- which significantly diminished the overall quality of both events. While I'm sure the photos turned out well, it came at the expense of the guest experience.

Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive.
