They also had taken out the front booth by the register, and then closed every other booth to allow for "social distancing." Every single employee was wearing a mask. The people were nice other than an assumed family member going in and out of the kitchen. Overall, it just didn't seem sanitary or like that was a priority at all. As we drove away, I noticed a broken window pane "covered" by a pizza box. Just not something I would recommend unfortunately.

Like most pizza joints, Pizza King has those who embrace it with passion and those who wonder "What's the big deal?" As I'm from Indy, I experience Pizza King less as it seems to mostly focus on the smaller communities that surround Indy. Pizza King is passionate about using fresh, not frozen, ingredients along with pizza toppings that go to the edge of the pizza. There's no wasting space here. From the outside, this location looks like it's going to be a run-of-the-mill Pizza King, but it's a lot more fun inside with a sort of retro-vibe in terms of atmosphere and decor. There's a small concrete ramp leading up to the door. However, I will note that they have have a video game that is somewhat of an obstacle to accessing the back rooms. If someone had a larger, motorized chair it probably wouldn't happen. There's a smaller front room that can be used, but you have to get past the video game for the private room and for the larger dining area. This really is a major issue to me as it could easily be a fire hazard and is pretty easily fixed. Thus, the loss of a star here. Beyond the obstacle, this was a really awesome experience. The servers were mostly younger, but our server was friendly, helpful, and top-notch with the service. I gathered with several people due to my fund-raising event and we had multiple varied orders. Everything came out correctly and everything was quite good. I had a pepperoni/sausage pizza and my usual iced tea. I was a bit nervous about eating pizza the night before I needed to go wheeling, but typically when ingredients are fresh things work out. There was no problem here. As a longtime James Dean fan, I enjoyed the decor that had a 50's vibe to it with multiple pieces of James Dean memorabilia. I didn't try the breadsticks as I just didn't trust my body to handle it with my next day's wheeling, but I was really happy with this entire experience. The food was good, the prices fair, the atmosphere warm and fun, the employees friendly and helpful, and the locals were friendly and welcoming. I'd easily return when I'm in the Tipton area. In my somewhat smaller chair, I was able to get by the video game (barely) and I still consider it worth the effort to make it happen. We ordered 12-inch pizzas with a variety of supreme-style toppings, and they were outstanding--hot, fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. We also tried the mozzarella sticks and cheesy bread, and both were fabulous. The cheesy bread reminded us of the wonderful bread from The Old Spaghetti Factory in Carmel, which was a very pleasant surprise. The entire staff was friendly, polite, and attentive. They checked on us regularly, made sure our drinks were filled, and were genuinely fun to talk with. The owner personally introduced himself and made certain that our food, drinks, and service met our expectations. When the owner overheard that my wife's birthday had been the day before, he generously surprised our table with a complimentary giant chocolate chip cookie topped with four scoops of vanilla ice cream. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that made our evening even more special. The owner also showed us the outdoor pizza machine, where customers can drive up and order a piping-hot 12-inch pizza at any hour of the day or night, ready in about seven minutes. We cannot wait to try it! He also explained that Ralphy's uses high-quality ingredients and recommended reheating leftover pizza in an air fryer to make it just as hot and crispy as when it was first served. We received some of the best service we have experienced in a long time. Although we did not get a chance to try the bowling, golf, or simulators because we were having such a great time visiting with our friends over dinner, we plan to enjoy those activities on our next visit. The strip mall entrance is pretty non descriptive. The inside is so different! The entrance leads into a large seating area with high and low tables. The kitchen is visible here along with self serve soda fountain. A separate ice cream station as you walk further. There is a full size golf simulation that people were using with their own clubs. Further in are a suite of duck pin bowling lanes. These appeared to fairly new and well maintained. Opposite the duck pin lanes is a semi segregated seating area perfect for separate groups. Adjacent to lanes is a well designed and very fun looking putt putt area curated with bright animal statues and a jungle theme. Ralphy's was clean and well designed with wooden tables, green grass turf and bright lighting. It is accessible with high and low tables. There is one step up to duck pin lanes and the lanes can be configured with bumpers. We ordered a personal cheese pizza and hot wings. The pizza had a hand stretched crust that was tasty. The wing order was somehow forgotten unfortunately. But they came out tasty when reminded and Ralphy's made it right. All in all Ralphy's was a fun experience with tasty food.
