I am not a fan of the huge chain pizza stores and was happy to this place open up last year. First off, Zion Brother's pizza kind of reminds me of Jack's Pizza that use to be a staple of mine in Indianapolis from years ago. The crust is super thin! It holds up well to the sauce and the toppings. Too many pizza places have this thick, doughy dough and fills you up and makes you feel bloated. Thick crust belongs in Chicago style pizza, not thin crust. Zion Brother's covers the pizza with toppings and smoothers it with cheese. My twin boys are spending the night with me so I ordered a 14" cheese and a 14" half pepperoni and half pepperoni and sausage. One of the boys prefers cheese pizza and the other pepperoni. Me? Well I like just about any topping but pepperoni and sausage is my go to and favorite. Now, Zion Brother's isn't like the national chains... meaning you aren't going to get your pizza in thirty minutes or less! They start your pizza from scratch after you order get it delivered to you as quickly as they can. They are extremely popular and it may take a bit of time to get your pizza (unless you go for carryout) but it is sooooo worth it! hey do charge a $5.00 delivery fee but on a night like tonight, it is totally worth it. If $5.00 is a bit steep for you, go for carry out. Anderson isn't hat big and Zion Brother's is only maximum of 10 minutes form anywhere in town. Even with the longer than normal delivery time, our pizza has piping hot when the driver knocked on my door. I made sure to give him a generous tip since he has to be out in the cold and snow tonight. Zion Brother's Pizza ins't your hot and ready $5.00 pizza place nor is it get two or more medium pizzas for $5.99 place. They charge a fair price for the quality pizza the make and is worth every single bite! So if you live in the Anderson area or feel like a drive, Zion Brother's Pizza is the place to go!

The second drink I ordered was a blackberry margarita, which was honestly not good. I'm not big on sour, and it was pucker your lips and just drink it quick type sour for me. The rim had salt, and although I'm not a big salt rim person, that was probably my favorite part besides the actual blackberry floating in it. They were so crisp and kept their warmth pretty well. They were also dusted in cinnamon sugar, which just made them 1000% better. Sometimes at other places you get them and they can be soggy or not have anything on them. They make them the right way here! For my meal, I got the drunken dory, I was debating on that or the blackened salmon salad, but figured why not go with some fries. Seeing how much fries my friend got vs myself, I was a little disappointed, but in the end he ended up stuffed whereas I had just enough. I really liked the plating on this, putting the fish on top of the fries so as the outside stays crispy on the fish. It did work, and overall was very nice. Could've used a bit of salt, and came out very hot though. All the food retained its heat very well. Their tartar sauce was also quite good, and as you can expect the coleslaw was nothing to write home about. I would definitely come back here again, probably try more of their apps and beers, I definitely like it better than some of the breweries over where I live in Virginia, so if you haven't tried it I highly recommend you do!

But this one I felt I couldn't let go unnoticed. I spent all day busy, so naturally, it was an order in kind of night. I chose Marco's because other pizza places have failed me recently... a lot, and I decided delivery was the way to go today because I was still working, but kids needed to eat. So, I placed an order on the app, and Ryan delivered. Ryan brought our food, and I handed him his tip. As he pulled the boxes out, our garlic cup fell and busted. He felt bad and apologized so much, and I reassured him it that it was okay that things happen. I informed him that one of the sauces was missing, and he offered to go get it as well as a replacement for the busted one and bring them back. I told him thank you, and I appreciated that. About 10 minutes later here he was with the sauces. I almost didn't expect it because of all the experiences I've had at other local restaurants. But Ryan's service was exceptional and way over the top. He went above and beyond the expectations of restaurants I have anymore. There really needs to be more Ryan's out here in Customer Service. I worked customer service before starting my own business for about 14 years. I know it's hard to do that job, and you don't see much praise from people. But Ryan, you SHINE!
