Best pizza in the area! Fresh ingredients, perfectly crispy crust, and the staff was super friendly. My go-to spot from now on.

Date of visit: 9/6/2024…read more Not sure what to eat for our last meal in Frankfurt. We were pretty much done with German food so we went with Italian instead. Our first choice was located outside of Frankfurt, leaving only Quattro on the table. Our orders: - scallops with truffle: scallops were perfectly prepared and I thought the truffle shavings were pretty generous. The sauce however, was WAY TOO SALTY! Like...reallyyyy...you don't taste your cooking before serving it to paid customers? - Spaghetti Quattro with scampi, mussels, clams and baby calamari in white wine butter sauce: pasta was al dente. it was delicious with plenty of shell fish, BUT again, it was on the salty side. If the amount of salt could be toned down a bit, this would be a winning dish! - Spaghetti ala vongole: almost the same with the spaghetti Quattro above but with only clams. Sauce was not as salty which is awesome! - Lemon sorbet: served partially melted already. I hate melted ice cream and sorbet! BUT it was surprisingly good! I would never voluntarily order a lemon sorbet but we were not in the mood for a tiramisu or a soufflé that night. It was light & refreshing & exactly how we wanted to close our meal. House bread was served cold and hard. I hate cold hard bread. I had to ask them to warm it up. They did. On a side note: when we came, indoor dining area was empty. The waiter asked us to sit at the full patio without letting us know it's a smoking dining area. It was not fun being a second hand smoker for the next 90 minutes, so unless you are ok with cigarette smokes and/or a smoker yourself, do your lungs a favor a get indoor seats instead!

And it has all of the romance you expect from fine Italian dining, and the food truly is phenomenally good. My wife got a large serving of salmon, with some very nicely prepared potatoes. But, we both loved the sirloin that I had, with mushrooms and potatoes and zucchini. The steak was buttery soft and packed with flavor, and the mushrooms made every bite that much more savory. The salmon was very good, served in a tomato sauce, but it paled in comparison to the steak. The only gripe was that we asked for the salad before the meal, and instead we got it with the meal. It was a very good salad, but it would have been better before the meal. The atmosphere certainly deserves mention, since it was the ideal romantic location for any couple.

It also leaves me not feeling 100 lbs heavier after eating it, but rather pretty guilt-free. I ate at Lizza at the Frankfurt Food Truck Festival last weekend. The fact that they offer low-carb and guilt-free pizza really appealed to me. The team running the stand was smiling and genuinely looked like they enjoyed what they were doing! They even struck up a conversation with me as the festival had just started and wasn't super busy (which it became later). They offered three or four choices of pizza and I ordered one with arugula and parma ham. The wait was around five minutes to get the final product. I was a bit hesitant as the crust is made of flax and chia seeds, but it turned out to be tasty and not bloating at all! I would have liked to have ordered one of their vegan/vegetarian options but one was with asparagus and the other had broccoli on it, which I'm not entirely fond of. The arugula and parma was well suited to my hunger and was delicious! It is nice to see places like this pop up. While they may not be the best place to serve everyone (I can't see an 85 year old Sicilian man stoked to have a low-carb pizza), it is ideal for me and many others out there. It is particularly great to see places like this do well and emerge on the street food scene for those with food allergies and intolerances. Nice job Lizza! I will be back and try some of your other products when I can muster up the excitement to consume broccoli or asparagus! :)

We came during the holiday weeks and the wine bar next door was closed, which was a bummer. That's it. Come on a Friday night like we did, and you're unlikely to find a spot. The staff was very nice as we changed our minds several times between eating in and taking to go. Food was on point as always. We tried the pizza puff appetizer which was super tasty. For our main we got the patata formaggia -- thin sliced potatoes, a blend of creamy cheeses, what more can you want in a pizza? Seriously, so good, still dreaming of it. The inviting storefront is matched and exceeded by an elegant interior that smacks of recent construction. There is a generous indoor seating area with additional outdoor seating. Both times there, I had to seek out an employee near the front who said we could sit anywhere we liked. The service during dinner in both cases was very good. Servers were pretty good about being attentive and/or accessible even during busy times. Our last visit was on a Friday evening and they were packed by the time we left. On my first visit, the kitchen was closed and only pizza was available. But this was OK as their pizza was pretty good. I had the Prosciutto and Rucola Pizza, which was quite tasty. My second visit was during regular dinner hours with a colleague. We started with a Bruschette Misto, which featured an olive and pepper mix, a pate and a cream cheese for toppings. It was excellent. For mains, my colleague had the Lasagne and I sampled the Penne Bolognese. My colleague reported his to be very good and I enjoyed mine as well. We tried the Panna Cotta for dessert, which was excellent. The second visit where we had a full dinner was probably indicative of the cost. For the two of us with appetizer, water, a 500-mL flask of wine to share, mains, dessert and one coffee, the final outlay was 60 euro (including a small tip). Overall, I really liked this place. I'll probably return next time I'm staying in a hotel in the area.
