I'm not sure what is up with all the bad reviews I read, but from first hand experience DONT make your choice based off the bad reviews! After a hike at Beaver Bend we decided to stop here for a late lunch. We ordered the white queso which was a great starter! The menu has a wide variety of selections for everyone... even the picky eaters. The tasty food definitely made up for the lack of customer service. Would definitely come here again! read more

Worst mexican food ever! Avoid at all costs, menu says "All food made fresh" and excited about fresh tortillas! However the manager explained that they used too, but neither the corn or flower used in any of dishes or just the tortillas themselves were not. If you want a lot of food, go for the Alambre plate. Its a mixture of meats, cheese, and some nicely seasoned veggies. It's a little greasy sometimes, but not bad, if that makes sense. Maybe very rich would be a better way to describe it. Anyways, if you're really hungry, give it a try. read more

I have lived in the Idabel area most of my life. I was excited when Papas opened here. The food is excellent, the service is superb and the atmosphere can't be beat. I would name my favorite, but I can't think of a meal I didn't enjoy. Papas has several restaurants in the area (DeQueen Ar, Texarkana Tx, Valliant Ok and Broken Bow Ok). I eaten at any if the other ones except the one in Idabel, but I'm sure the others are just add great. Give Papa Pablanos a try. You won't be disappointed. I promise! read more

I love Papa's. The service is awesome, the food is great, and the atmosphere is inviting and warm. A plus to the area of McCurtain County! We were not sure of this place when we sat down as the menus reminded me of Denny's. However the waitress was super nice and gave us her recommendation on the stuffed Pablano, hence the name of the restaurant. The food was spot on. Plates were large and the beer on draft was ICE COLD. We were very happy with the food, service and price. Will stop every time we visit Broken Bow. read more

This is without a doubt the worst food experience I have had in recent memory. A group of us were headed home from our trip to the Ouchita Mountain area and were looking for a place to have breakfast/lunch. Unfortunately we stopped at PP's and after some severe confusion by the staff in how to seat 7 people we sat down to some chips and sauce. This sauce was not salsa - it was tomato juice, tabasco, lemon juice and waaaay too much oregano - inedible. One of the guys on the trip is a real deal chef and warned us that nothing good can follow at a mexican food place that can't make a decent passable salsa - which turned out to be amazingly correct. NOTHING WAS PASSABLE AS AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD OR EVEN SOUTHWEST CUISINE! I ordered chicken fajita nachos - let me tell you what pass as nachos here - chips, cold flavorless beans, shredded cheddar that wasn't even melted, a 1oz. scoop of bad guacamole and a 1oz scoop of sour cream and the chicken.....WAS LUNCH MEAT!!!! THIS PLACE SUUUUCKS - if you are on a road trip or family trip please just drive 2 miles down to sonic and save yourself from the blazing diarrhea you will surely get from this hell hole!! We truly feel sorry for the people that live around these establishments and have somehow accustomed themselves to eating there! If i could - i would give it negative marks all the way around and ask the owners to close the doors out of respect to other human beings. never pay someone to give you diarrhea and a terrible road trip home!! We went here for breakfast and wow you would not think a mexican resturant could pull it off but they did!! For $7.99 I got 2 eggs scrambled ,ham ,hashbrowns. 2 big pancakes and a biscuit and gravy. The food had alot of flavor the pancakes were sweet I didn't even need syrup and the gravy had alot of flavor to go along with a very moist and flaky biscuit! My 3 year old daughter and I were able to share it and I was still stuffed! My son got a huge breakfast burrito and my husband got some chiquiles with a huge piece of carne asada meat on top I tried it and that meat had some flavor!! Our total came out to 25 bucks!!! We left there stuffed!! Our waitress was nice and the food came out pretty quickly! I can't wait to go back and try dinner with a margarita!! This is a great place for breakfast!! read more
