    I love this car wash!!

I love this car was and will always come back! Thank you for valuing your customers and business as a whole! Very convenient and affordable! I received a premium car wash and was able to vacuum and use free microfiber towels :)

I finally went here for the first time today with my dog and it was great. We really did need another one in town. Great carwash, great employees, great vacuums, very organized and clean vacuum area despite sharing their lot with the rental car place, I'm glad I went. I will definitely be going back again. Dog approved of it also :) Mahalo nui!

Papa's is Maui's newest automated carwash, having opened up in 2020. I for one don't utilize automated carwashes but my spouse does. We normally go to Maui Express Car Wash (at Maui Oil) but they were closed for renovations which is how we ended up here. Too bad for Maui Express as my spouse now prefers Papa's! PRICING: There are three price points which includes use of their self-service vacuums: Super ($11) - Basically a wash and dry. Premium ($13) - Adds wheel cleaner and tire dressing, sealer wax and polish. Ultimate ($15) - Adds surface protectant, ceramic fire bath and a good-quality microfiber towel/dash wipe and air freshener. EXPERIENCE: You could vacuum your car first but I'd suggest washing your car first as to not have the staff watching you like a hawk thinking you're gonna vacuum and leave, LOL. There are two lanes to pay via kiosks. Make a sharp right and you're at the carwash entry. The tunnel length is similar to Maui Express's but way shorter than Maui Soft Cloth (formerly Hashi's). A worker sprayed down the entire vehicle with a pressure washer then squirted on some kind of liquid onto the hood and windshield before sending us through. Colored lights came on from above, making you feel like you were at an amusement park ready to blast off. They feature the usual body panel-slapping and spinning mechanisms (soft cloth) and robust blower at the end. The blower didn't do a good job with repelling the water but there are two workers who wiped down the car with chamois. The car still had some bugs on the front and some bee poop on the side. And regardless of wax application, the body panes aren't silky smooth like a wax-on, wax-off job LOL. The vacuums aren't as powerful as Maui Express's or even our shop vac at home which was disappointing. You have access to two hoses on either side, both with different attachments (one was the skinny piece that can get into the nooks and crannies, the other with a flat head that's more for carpeted floormats). They're also on a timer which was annoying. OVERALL: Save the $2 and get the middle wash. While no automated system will ever come close to a hand-wash, Papa's lands in second place of the "big three" on the rock.

Super excited to have another car wash option central. I've been keeping my eye on this place for awhile. We came by on a Saturday morning and saw it was open for business. Everything is new, clean, clearly marked and worked great. When you approach the entrance, the menu is clearly displayed showing the car wash options. We opted for the works for $15. They had a special for $2 off that morning. It was touchscreen automated and you could pay with cash or card. As you approach the wash tunnel, your car is sprayed down for pre-wash and employees will guide you in. While in the wash, you can see the different stages of soap, wax and that the brushes and water pressure is really getting the dirt and grime off your vehicle. It was pretty cool to see that the undercarriage of the car gets cleaned too. The dryer upon exit was pretty strong and any remaining water droplets were taken care of by the two employees waiting to hand dry. When we drove to the vacuum area, each stall had to two vacuums. With both of vacuuming both sides of our vehicle we got the job done pretty quickly. Good suction, clean area and hand sanitizer pumps everywhere. Looking forward to the "Monthly Unlimited Plans" in the future. Thanks Papa's we'll be back!

Great place to clean your vehicle after TURO rental. If you do car wash, the vacuum is included, which is really nice.

Good car wash with nice employees. I like the monthly membership. The membership lets you wash once daily for $49/month.

Their machines will rip off your mirror, strip off your trim, and damage your car. Absolutely avoid this place at all costs!

It is basic but it works, although the wash heads are worn through and useless and not much soap came out, so I might take my own soap and wash glove next time which will also eliminate any scratching. Take microfiber cloths to dry your vehicle down, but make sure you move into the vacuum area to do this and allow the person behind you to wash their vehicle. I didn't use the vacuum but folks were using them and seemed intent on doing a good job so they must work well. I went on a Saturday morning and it was busy, but I was lucky I didn't have to wait, there was a queue behind me once I was in. I didn't need help so not sure if there is anyone in person to do so. There were a LOT of unhoused individuals around, no problem, but I don't think I would feel comfortable if I was washing my car in the dark on my own. It's great to see a beloved local business like Hashi's continue on with the same spirit and quality locals have enjoyed for generations at Maui Soft Cloth Car Wash. Just like before, they still pre-wash every vehicle by hand before sending it through the mechanical wash--a step you don't really see anymore. Because of the extra step, a line can form and sometimes it causes some traffic to back up into the road. Sure, it's not the fastest process, but it's worth it. That extra attention makes a real difference, and just like Hashi always believed, the cars come out noticeably cleaner. Once the hand wash is done, you choose what type of service you'd like (they have four different options from $15-$20), and then drive through to get the rest of the job done. They do give you a small towel to wipe off the rest of the remaining water after the wash is done, but the blower does a pretty good job of getting most of it off. Overall, the team is friendly and the process is smooth. Highly recommend supporting this locally rooted business if you're looking for quality over speed.

And the other reason why I come here is because I am a responsible car renter, where I actually refill the gas tank on my rental car...........unlike some scummy renters who do not refill the tank, only to tell the rental clerk that they did (I hate that!), because sometimes I take out a rental, only to find out the tank wasn't really full! Just your standard gas station/car wash & convenience store.......never washed a car here, nor did I ever buy anything from the convenience store.
