Incredible! First of all, the people are so nice, kind, and gracious. They answered all of our American questions! Papa's has some of the best fish I've ever tasted. I usually dunk my fish in plenty of ketchup, but this was delicious eating it as is. The chips were decent, but the biggest delicious surprise was the banana fritter! WOW!! Get it with maple syrup and you can thank me later. We had two three fish specials, one fritter, and a bottle of Tango, and spent less than 13£. read more

The Restaurant is smart and clean. Nice atmosphere with soft music. very relaxing to have a meal. Excellent service with friendly and helpful staff. The food Excellent. Dover-sole, Grilled to perfection, chips perfect. Good selection of deserts, old favorites Apple Pie, Treacle sponge, Spotted Dick etc. They also have a good selection of other meals. I Highly recommend a visit. read more

Loved this place! The best Fish and Chips in Kent! ! Great selection of Fresh fish with huge portions and a choice of smaller ones too.. and very reasonable cost! Non Greasy Chips and Sides were great too with Premium condiments. Seating is Plentiful,in a lovely air conditioned spotlessly clean Restaurant Lots of people coming in and out for take away...always a good sign! A true local Fish & Chips shop, good fish with a fries which u can add vingar or salt & pepper, ketchup or mayo u can buy small pack's for 25p, 'eating in' is more expensive with a couple of pens per item but that's regular all over 'take out' is cheaper don't ask why bags cost more. its in the town centre walking section. read more

Unfortunately I must say that I have had far fresher fish and far tastier chips in my life. And unfortunately, given that Folkestone is a seaside village - a lack of fresh fish isnt very forgiveable! read more

GLUTEN FREE! They had GF fries, happily offered to pan fry some fish The food was typical fish and chips, the fry portions were big sized, the service was great. read more

This has to be the best fish and chip shop in Folkestone. The batter is really crispy and light here and the chips are homemade handcut style. Prices are fairly reasonable, but service is brisk and efficient. They are always very busy at the weekends so that should speak for itself. I know that they source a lot of their fish from the Fishing boats operating out the harbour, so you cant get fresher than that! Had a problem once with a dressed crab I had from them, but they were very good and gave me a refund and a freebie of some prawns to make up for it. Well established family run business.
