Delicious in Dover! Solid fish and chips, excellent sea bream, and pints! I had a pint of Kentish Pip and I think it's my new favorite cider. Traveled down from London earlier in the day and skipped lunch so we were rather hungry and opted for an early dinner, just after 4PM. There were other diners about, and patrons at the bar it but it was understandably not full at that time of day. The decor was nostalgic and befitting a spot on the marina. The waitstaff were efficient, friendly, and accommodating. We shared an unexpectedly tall slice of their yummy banoffee pie to end the meal. If this were in my neighborhood, I'd dine in often! read more

Had olives and bread which was good and an omelette. This was a very new culinary experience, food in England. My order was well prepared and filling. Service was efficient and fairly prompt based on the amount of customers at the time of day. The ambiance was that of a tavern. Lots of wall candy, pictures and nautical notes throughout the establishment. I would say an average value based on other English dining experiences. read more

Such a nice surprise! Very tasty meals of shrimp curry and a burger at our table. Wonderful service. (You can sit outside by the water if you want to order at the bar.) Restaurant has interesting memorabilia and very clean restrooms. Definitely glad we went looking for it! read more

Wish I could give it 4 stars, but I just didn't find it above average. Food was good. Spaghetti carbonara was good. Beer battered cod - not a fan of the skin being left on a battered & fried fish... but it was the numerous large bones that I found that really turned me off. Dessert was fine: banoffee pie was good; Creme brûlée was over cooked. They have their own beer - hubby liked it. read more

Went twice during a 2-day stay because our first meal was so good. The staff was very friendly and the location was great!

Good food. But not outstanding. Fish and chips for me, Steak for him. Steak was cooked perfectly. Cod was good, chips crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. read more

We've spent the Day visiting Dover Castle, and looked for a place to eat Burgers. We had the classical Hamburger, a Cheddar-Cheeseburger and a Chickenburger, along with Onion Rings. The Burgers we're all good! Meat was tasteful and the combination was good. They serve their own Ale-Brand which was also good. Service ist polite and the location at the harbour is athmospheric. The bar was filled but we didn't have to wait too long for out food. read more

Cullins Yard is a classic Dover restaurant, great for a nice leisurely dinner, or just a few beers and snacks in the back garden, which features a nice view of the Marina. I've come here several times over the years, and it's consistently good. Seafood dishes are solid, with great local and seasonal specials. Portions are generous, and service is friendly yet professional. Went to Cullins twice the last time I was in town, the first for a nice supper of mahi-mahi with fresh fruit salsa, and my partner had a herb crusted tilapia, also very good. Even when you are in the indoor section, there's a great nautical feeling with all the memorabilia and large open windows. The next visit was even better - delicious mussels and a bucket of bubbly in the garden celebrating on a sunny afternoon. Definitely a great option whenever you're in town and looking for a solid meal or drink. read more

Fantastic restaurant with clearly a lot of history in the area. The food is great- the hamburger is in the top 5 burgers I've ever eaten... Fish and chips was also fantastic. Service was great. Place is well decorated. Highly recommend. read more

If you didn't get enough history at the castle and museum, Cullins Yard is covered in old trinkets-- masts, clamps, rope, torches, sailing gadgets, dials, and clocks. The food was excellent (great squash Wellington!) and the service, though low staffed, was also excellent. Definitely the place to go in Dover! read more

Popped in with friends after work, good atmosphere plenty of people eating. Great place with outdoor area next to marina.

this is an ideal location to have a meal with friends. The food is excellent with usually a nice selection of fresh fish on the menue. The bar can become very busy at times and weekends it is best to book in advance. They offer a range of beers and lagers and there is a nice outside area to sit and enjoy the warmer weather. read more

Been to Cullins many many times and have never been disappointed. Food good as well as the atmosphere. We have got to know the owner and as we have been there so many times last night the whole meal plus 2 bottles of wine was on the house. Travel to Dover from Westerham just to spend time in our favourite restaurant. Excellent!!!!! read more

Came to Dover for a one night get away to visit the castle and got recommended this bar/restaurant for a drink. Only two real ales on which was disappointing and couldn't see any regular largers on tap but they did have 2 white largers available on tap. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar area which had the actual bar formed as the side of a boat and a wood burner in the corner. Part of the Dover marina is overseen from the exterior which would be great in the summer! We did not eat so am unable to comment on the food. read more

Atmosphere is great. Waitress was nice, efficient and good looking. Fish and chips was good. The pork loin had a great sauce but the pork was a bit over done. The potato side side for the pork was great. The paistie (flat fish) was lacking flavour except excessive salt. read more

The waitress (Gina?) was really nice. That's where it ends. To be honest, one doesn't expect much in a port town, but even with modest expectations, I was bitterly disappointed. It's not cheap either. The prices don't reflect the quality of the food at all. Not being funny, there are other places to go, and perhaps at those places, your complaints won't be met with a look of disdain and a don't care attitude from the manager. read more

I thought going to the seaside i would get lovely fresh fish!!! WRONG!!! On the menu i saw crab & prawn fishcake, a favourite of mine - i asked the waiter was it white crab meat or dark he replied 'white' yum i thought WRONG!! up came this 2" round ball of stodge no flavour and certainly no white crab meat - robbed at £6.45 - you can get a better fishcake from Lidl . I then had a special dish of the day - scallops these turned up approx. 1/2" round and sliced thinly on a smudge of mushy peas [supposed to be pea puree] and butternut squash - a great disappointment as i adore scallops and have never seen any so small served up as a main dish. when the waitress asked was everything ok i said how disappointed i was with the scallops - the waiter came over and said he thought it was very good value for money i disagreed and pointed out that they had been sliced in half; i also mentioned that there wasn't any crab meat in the fishcakes they were stodge he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Great customer satisfaction!!! NOT!!! Fish is my favourite food and i have eaten in a lot of restaurants - never again will i enter this establishment to be so disappointed.
