I was only expecting about $2.00 for the amount of cans I got but it came to $4.50 and I was thrilled! I had been meaning to recycle in order to declutter & it's good for the environment plus a bonus to get a few bucks! :-).... So I proceeded to the front office with my ticket and TDL ( Remember to bring your I.D. & you will have to do the fingerprint deal). The young lady working the window was cool & explained the process. The lobby is SUPER NICE... the aesthetic is perfect for this place of business and I love the friendly yet helpful warning sign posted between the payment machine & the service window... check out my pics below. So I received a payment ticket that you scan over at the machine to get your cash! Cool operation! They also have stickers free to the customers, so help yourself! Overall...I personally give this place 5 stars & appreciate them rounding my payment up to a solid $5.00!!!!! Thanks HOUSTON SCRAP METAL.... the struggle is real sometimes & every dollar helps.

Stopped on a Thursday morning and the drop off wait system is confusing. There are apparently 2 lines, one for the dump waste and one for recycling. But you can't tell where one starts or ends. Drove in and was a bit confused about the process. 2 men standing outside, neither acknowledge me. I get out of the car and a young lady comes out of the building and asks to help me. I explain to her what I'm dropping off and she asks me if it works. I say yes. I said it has these burn marks on the inside (one of the caveats of this Cuisinart model was that it's difficult to remove heat or grease marks - main complaint from most consumers and there are no replacement parts) She tells me to back in and take it out of the car. As I open the trunk, the guy finally acknowledges me and asks the lady if it works. She tells him what I said. And he yells, we aren't going to take it bc it's dirty. I respond "it's not dirty, there are burn marks that you can't remove, let me show you. " He says, "we don't recycle dirty equipment". I look at the dirty washing machine he is fixing and said fine and walk off. The young lady apologizes repeatedly and suggest I give it to one of the guys waiting in the long line for the dump side. I ended up going to the Westpark location where the employees are nice and polite. Maybe he was having a bad day or deals with crap people but I didn't do anything deserve to be treated so rudely. Nevertheless, I will stick to Westpark.
