She does daily art projects, takes the kids on walks to the park, has a nice outdoor space for play in front and back of her house, and we LOVE that she provides healthy snacks and meals throughout the day! The opportunity arose and we jumped on it only to find that (duh) most wineries are not kid friendly! Panicking because I had already booked our flight and hotel, I jumped onto the internet to see that people used nanny services in wine country. Geniuses, I tell you. So of course I go on yelp and find that Joanna's nannies has awesome reviews, and Yelp did not steer me wrong. I reached out and got a response from Marlena quickly. She also answered all of my questions and reassured a worrying mother that my son would be in good hands. Kayla reached out about a week before our scheduled nanny day and we had a short but awesome conversation. She sounded so sweet over the phone and even told me that since we were flying in that she would provide all the toys and books needed for the several hours she'd be entertaining him. The conversation definitely settled some nerves and reservations I had about leaving my son with someone we had never met. Day of, Kayla texted me when she was on the way and met us at our hotel room. She is just the sweetest!!! Came in and right away was smiling and engaging with Myles. Texted me updates and pictures of my happy kid and wrote down a report for us and when we got back they were walking around playing in a fountain.
