Fernando Lopez, the owner, came to our property and looked at our plant installation project. He was not in a hurry, took notes and pictures to share with the crew. Very easy to talk with and go over expectations. I received a quote the following day. We were told they were scheduling three weeks out, which was fine with us. They actually contacted us to move the installation date earlier by a week. The Crew Lead introduced himself and his co-worker. They, too, talked around with me to insure they got the plants installed exactly where I wanted them. They finished the job more quickly than I expected, then asked me to come out to make sure it was like I wanted it. It was. They rinsed off the pavers and left things looking great! Had full yard service with Papi's for maybe 8+ years. They took the service over from another company. Up until around 2025 everything was fine, I went years and never even had to contact them, then 1 1/2-2 years ago it all fell apart. Constant damage to the yard and decline in service. Several times their mower or edging work damaged the grass required an area to be re-sodded. Once they came in the off season, spent literally 5 minutes in the backyard blowing all leaves into the wooded area and neighbor's yard, and then left. I had to go out after them and rake up 6 bags of leaves. All work they were paid to do. Eventually they stopped cutting the shrubs completely unless I told them to, and even then only the absolute minimum amount of work was done. At the end they requested 30 days notice to cancel their service. During that time they did zero trimming of my shrubs. The shrubs had not been touched in 6-8 weeks or more. I told them they would need to be done, so on their last service they did HALF of one area of shrubs and left the other half completely untouched. Lop-sided and deformed. The complete lack of quality in their work is absolutely unreal. Who trims one side of a shrub and leaves the other side un-trimmed? Is that professional? They never should have been allowed to continue for 30 more days and they should have been fired immediately when problems started with them. After being a customer for about 8 years I was left with overgrown and dis-figured shrubs plus damage to my grass that I had to resolve on my own. I can not recommend them at all. I hired a new company and the yard is now the best it has looked in the last 2 years. read more

We have been using Papi's for many years. The last two years, the service has really gone downhill. They've ran over our downspout drain and crushed it. This week, they ran over our metal dog lanyard and broke it in two places. There's a piece of one of my solar lights laying in the yard, not sure where the rest of it has gone. We had Papi's mow our lawn and trim our bushes for almost a year while we were ill and unable to mow ourselves. They did a great job with everything. Their communication was good on when they were coming and if they weren't able to - because of rain. I would recommend them if you need lawn service. read more

They did okay in the beginning but about 6 months into servicing our lawn, and repeated clarification and requests that they were to hand pull weeds ($250+ for service of small yard) they continually sprayed weed killer in the beds, sprayed weed killer on my herbs (cook with) in which they were notified in writing to not spray anything near, killed multiple plants, failed to trim bushes for months at a time. Never did winter clean up until after 2 years of service despite my multiple requests. We also caught them "weed eating" the yard!!!! instead of mowing as they were contracted to do. Also, we have 3 dogs and we would clean up before they come, but the crew would repeatedly show up a day to two before the scheduled day we were provided, then complain we did not clean up after dogs. Our last month of service, they gave us service date but they were a NO SHOW but they charged us and refused to credit despite proof the crew were not on any cameras on our property that day. Lying snakes. I have always dealt with Fernando who was very friendly but then they sent their "New" production manager who was extremely unprofessional, unpresentable, RUDE and BELIGERENT. His name was Jeff and the majority of the time on my property, he regurgitated years about his personal life and gushed about his previous job in medical field. He showed up 1 hour 15 minutes after the time he stated he would be there. NO CALL. He probably should have stayed in the medical field because he knew absolutely NOTHING about plants or how to communicate properly to the crew. They looked at him confused as he called every plant the wrong name and ultimately I had to educate him on how to prune and trim. He had crew cut just the leaves off my bird of paradise and left all the stems on it. Complete IDIOT. Had to instruct on how to properly cut ornamental grass. He got agitated and asked how I want it cut, I replied its common sense in which he responded angrily that it was not and the crew proceeded. He obviously retaliated because Jeff the fool LIED to the office and stated my entire yard was unsanitary due to dogs despite him seeing the bucket where I had cleaned everything up. Not to mention, the dogs invisible fence restricts them from roaming the "entire" yard and the majority of grass is on the outside of the aluminum fencing where they have NO ACCESS. Therefore, I would NEVER refer or recommend Papis to my worst enemy due to the decline of service and dishonesty from their the new hire Jeff. Several neighbors near our area have complained or gotten rid of them too. Do your research. DO NOT USE!! I now have a 16 year old neighbor mowing and he out performs grown men. read more

Worst customer service ever. Took maybe 6 weeks for them to come out and do the work. They will not return calls and then suddenly just show up without notice. The first pallet they brought was junk and I had to argue with them to not put it down. The second pallet was better, but not the best. Then I had some 10 pieces or so Die. They argued for weeks that I killed it and then said it was laid in the front yard, an area they didn't approve. Yet their tech was the one that placed it there. Forget a 1 year warranty, it's a joke and they will not honor it. Save yourself the trouble and Do Not use this company. read more

Dishonest and customer service sucks. They give you a quote and then dont stay true to it. My quote was for 898.00 to resod part of the front yard. He gave an est verbal when he came and measured, which was around 750, we got the quote and it was for 898.00 ok, fine we signed and payed half 449.00 ahead of installation. Day before install we get a different quote for 1002.00 saying they left a piece if equipment off the quote after we have already paid half down. It was scheduled for the following day so reluctantly we went ahead. Well after coming out and measuring and all that for the quote, they didn't have enough sod so now we are getting charged again for something that isn't our fault. We ended up paying 1142.00 for a job that was quoted for 898.00. Noone returns your calls unless they want your money. Very very dishonest. When I let them know nicely they really didn't seem to care and offered to do nothing. read more

I used papis lawn service one time so far. I called and he said that he could come out the same day to mow my lawn, which is what I was hoping for! They said they would be there at 3, but they called me at 4 and said they were running behind, ultimately arriving at my house a little after 5. Since mowing the yard doesn't really affect me too much, the time didn't matter so much. Once they came they let me know they were there and talked to me about the services I wanted. He was friendly and informative. It ended up getting dark and they could not finish my lawn that day, however, they woke up the next day and came back to my yard first thing. The lawn looks nice, they did a good job. Since it's winter I won't need my lawn mowed as much, but when it needs mowing again I will use them again. read more

Don't waste your time. Left two phone messages on their answering system over a weeks time and one sent a message via their website. No contact. Not a peep. They couldn't be bothered to return mt calls. So much for positive reviews. Look elsewhere. read more
