The cakes were a chocolate cake and the other one was a coconut Caramell type cake. I found the cake very delicious wonderful to the pallet but not as sweet as you find in the United States. For the six pieces of bakery goods I paid 90 reals....or about $20.00 US a bit pricey. The ladies were quite pleasant and helpful even though they could not speak any English.

We were very hungry so we got a few different things each. The service at first was very slow and disorderly, as they have to weigh and price most things individually (using a lot of styrofoam), but for a middle-of-the-night snack, it hit the spot! Some of the sweets I got were a bit stale, or perhaps the texture just wasn't what I was expecting. But the pão de queijo was good! It wasn't too expensive for everything that we got. There wasn't much competition for the middle of the night, so I would probably return here, and I would recommend this place to others.

Great place to stop by after eating at the other nearby restaurants. The coffee is good as well but quite small. The small/pequeno is equivalent to a demitasse cup (1 shot of espresso) whereas the grande is probably a 5oz cup. I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a coffee pick me up or European quality cakes.
