After his passing I continued my study with one of his students. Since moving away to college I've spent almost 5 years studying under a professor of piano at Brigham Young University. In total, I've had 23 incredible years of sitting in my favorite spot--the piano bench. And now I'm excited to start publicly advertising my work as a special events pianist. The piano bench is my favorite spot because it's the place where emotions are communicated, atmosphere is made, and beauty is created. The littles were in awe, and the Unipiper was lovely in conversation with them. After the neighbors came out to see where the bag pipe Star Wars music was coming from, they were encouraged to sing Happy Birthday with us from their front steps! Beware, a birthday gram isn't cheap (The Unipiper's time is valuable!). But it is yet another event from this year my kid will remember- and fondly at that!

From many email convos over the 12 months from when we booked them to when the actual wedding event was he was always quick to respond. Especially when about 2-3 days before the wedding I decided to change the song our pianist was going to play for the wedding procession. And when I asked for what I thought was maybe a little out there he always responded with a casual response in that they were happy to try to make it happen....and they did! On the day of they were amazing and a major talking point at the morning after brunch. We had a small but rowdy group and Hans and the Wanted just went with the energy we were putting out. I am so happy we stumbled across this band. The entertainment for our wedding was one of the most important things for us and WOW did they deliver.
