This is your typical nail salon. Not high end but they do a decent job. As long as you don't want designs or anything complicated, you're fine. Recently it's been harder to get a walk in appointment so call ahead if you want gel or a fill. Pedicures never seem to have a long wait. I'm not a picky person and very easy going. I went to Paradise Nails to get my eyebrows and legs waxed. It wasn't the 40 minute wait or the crude appearance of the establishment that bothered me, it was the performance itself. I've never had anyone wax my eyebrows so quickly, and I've also never had my EYELIDS waxed either. Today was the first time for both. I get someone else to wax me because I just don't want to do it myself. Now, I still have to get the left over wax out of my eyebrows and also pluck them too. As for my legs, they are prickly and a lot of hair was missed. I honestly would have been better off shaving, because my legs would have actually been smoother. I'm also currently broken out in a rash because the lady who did my legs decided that only one pump of lotion was necessary for two legs... yeah, barely covered anything. I'm thoroughly disgusted and just wasted my money. I do not intend on ever returning there and did not feel bad at all about not leaving a tip. Don't be attracted by the prices, it's not worth it. read more

As soon as you walk in the smell is very strong and suffocating. The place looks pretty run down and dirty. They did a sloppy job on my daughters nails but overall the price was really cheap so I wasn't too upset read more

I stopped getting my nails done two years ago after having my first baby and moving from Portland, OR to Payson, AZ. So when my neighbor/friend and I decided to have a mommy spa day, I was excited to jump at such a rare opportunity. Little did I suspect when wandering into this salon it would end in complete dissatisfaction. The salon itself was disorganized and filthy. But reluctantly, we sat down and began our pedicures simultaneously. About 25 minutes later, I was finished with my decent service and my neighbor was still waiting for her polish. I was moved over to the manicure station and rapidly taken care of, again, in under 25 minutes. I didn't even know acrylic nails could be done that fast! And I don't think I even would have mind, except that in the process I was CUT FOUR TIMES! Twice she nic'd me with a nail file and twice with the dremmal tool. I said 'ouch' twice but hate making a scene. However, when she applied whatever liquid it was to my cut which made it feel like it was on fire, I pulled my hand away- startled- and she GRABBED it back and held it on tighter! The only reason I even let her finish was because I didn't think I'd get another opportunity to get a manicure for another two years. I payed ($60!) and waited in the car, furious that that was how our mommy break was spent. All the while, my friend had sat in the pedicure chair, unattended, for a grand total of 1 hour and 45 minutes. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Was in a hurry to get a Lash Fill. Nothing major. I asked her not to remove existing lashes. Just a fill as a few had fallen off. 20 minutes later I was horrified at the unprofessional job she did. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Lashes were cheap and thick and as hard as metal bristles. Definitely apparent as to which were the pros and not so pro. If you need soft and natural lashes and ones you can brush a lash brush through I know the place....definitely not this one. Mani pedi well I can't say anything about. Didn't stick around. read more

Went here with my cousin when we were in town for a wedding to get pedicures (and her a manicure also). The place is in a good location: easy to find, with other things nearby. However, inside is a bit trashy. Namely the hundreds of old magazines piled behind the pedicure stations. The staff's behavior bordered on rude and unfriendly. I have been to other nail places in a similar price range were there was a bit of a language barrier, but was still treated well and nicely. Not so here. They turned on the "massage" feature on the pedicure chairs without even asking us (and that required them reaching on to the seats where we were already sitting to get the remotes). I hate massage chairs. I turned it off immediately. The polish was applied well, but the rest of the pedicure was subpar. I get fairly significant calluses on one my heels, and they barely scrubbed at it. My ingrown nails, which usually feel much better after a pedicure actually felt worse after this one. The foot/leg massage was alright I suppose, but again, I have had much better for the same price. When my cousin told her pedicurist that she also wanted a manicure, the woman was very confused, and kept asking if she wanted a "fill." Getting a nail fill and a manicure are completely different things. She had to call over a young woman doing nails to alleviate the confusion. How can someone who works in a nail salon not know what "manicure" means? The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because our nails were done well, but that is really the only pro I could find to this place. read more

They do an okay job and it's hard to understand and have a conversation with the people actually doing the job. My toe nails are never evenly filed and they didn't put a base coat on my fingers when I had them painted clear. But I keep going back because they are the best place in town. They have quiet a few colors to choose from and do a great job painting. They also take you right away and have never turned me away. ALWAYS VERY POLITE!!! Even the people not helping you smile, unlike those other places. read more

BEYOND RUDE!!!!! Not only was I the only person in the store, they treated me as if I was invisible. She was pushing and pulling my hands instead of speaking to me. She was talking to another employee the whole time and I just sat there in silence. Also, it was 45 min from closing and they were cleaning up around me emptying trash and moving me so they can sweep. When I went to check out after a horrible and awkward experience, she had the nerve to finally talk to me and asked "how much for tip?" I told her to run my card without and a tip and just walked out. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. I have never been so mistreated before. read more

Worst nail place I've ever been to. My friend was visiting from out of town and we decided to do the "girl thing" and get a manicure. We found this place and it sounded good so we made an appointment and showed up at the scheduled time. They greeted us by saying "Go sit there" instead of hello - but hey - I get that when you are busy. So we waited a very short time and then one of the employees kind of called out across the room that we should come into the nail station area and have a seat. My friend wanted a mani/pedi so we let them know and the employee pointed to the back of the salon for my friend to sit. She pointed out a nail station for me to sit at. I waited about 10 minutes and then an employee walked over and started working on my hands. The employees then did a kind of "tag-team" approach. The gal worked on me for a time and then a male employee came over and did the arm massage with lotion. The entire time he was putting on the lotion he was popping gum, staring out the window and rubbing my arms and hands distractedly. And oh yeah, he sneezed at least a couple of times barely even trying to turn away. It was pretty disgusting. Now, my friend was getting a pedi during the time they were working on my nails. I looked over and checked on her a couple of times and she had a strange look on her face. Not the smiling face I hoped to see as this was supposed to be a treat! After the appointment we looked at each other and both said it was the WORST place we had ever been to. She said the "deluxe pedicure" consisted of a man running his hands up and down each calf a couple of times. By the way, it was the same guy who did mine and she was equally as unimpressed with his attention. It really felt like the employees just couldn't be bothered with niceties like customer service! I have never left a salon feeling like I should go home and wash with alcohol as I was nervous about getting a nail fungus! Avoid this place!!! read more

First off I used to come here all the time as a teenager and didnt notice how crummy it really is, now that I've moved away and come back I see it very clearly! They do a decent job on nails but pedicures are a different story, you're paying $25+ for a luke warm tub of water (when you ask for hotter they scorch you, so just take the luke warm. ) then the typical nail trim but the "massage" is a joke; first a scrub on dry skin then after that is rinsed they dollop freezing lotion on your legs. Rub them for MAYBE a minute each then throw a super hot towel on your freezing legs.. yeah super awesome. Also if you want a special design forget it they will just tell you no, even if they have it on the display nails. Oh and they also like changing the color on you without asking. But for it being a small town and not having to many options Im stuck coming here.. I sure do miss the one in Show low though :/ read more
