I popped in to pick up some food for my mutt and when I asked for his particular brand, the shop owner nearly spat his coffee over the desk. 'I don't stock that stuff, its crap' he declared and then gave me a very constructive and un-condescending lesson in the right kind of dog food to buy and why. Very helpful to me and the dog! He's also one of the few pet supply shop owners that actually sells pets! Hamsters, gerbils and rabbits are all available.

As far as pet 'livestock' goes (well that's what they call the poor mites) there's everything small from fish, hamsters, rabbits, reptiles, tortoises, lizards and bearded dragons. My mum comes here to get her Nutro dog food which is supposedly packed with nutritional goodness. You can tell the shop owner is a genuine animal lover, he stocks only the best. I've got a soft spot for the turtles and have to stop myself from leaving with one every time I come here.

(I never mention my job as i don't like to sound ungrateful or arrogant) However their choice of words could be better! As they can sometimes come across as belittling the way in which they speak to the client.

I usually go here for cat litter - not the most exciting shopping experience but an essential none the less. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable and were able to advise me on local veterinary surgeries. They also offer a free home delivery service.
