If you are considering enrolling your teenager at North Canyon, do yourself a favor and look…read moreelsewhere. This school is run with complete disregard for the actual student experience, and the administration's priorities are entirely backward. The front office communication is practically nonexistent. If you try to call with an urgent message or pop in to clear up an attendance mistake, you are met with attitude, eye rolls, and generic brush-offs. Meanwhile, the staff enforces rules with glaring favoritism. Certain students get away with constant dress code violations or skipping, while others are dragged straight into detention over harmless misunderstandings or pulling out a phone to check the time. Where the budget actually goes is an absolute mystery. While teachers are left paying out-of-pocket for basic classroom supplies and AC units struggle to cool overcrowded rooms, the administration somehow finds funding for cosmetic exterior upgrades and unnecessary vanity projects. Fine arts and practical electives keep getting squeezed out, depriving kids of the hands-on programs that make high school engaging, all while the school spends money on decorative fluff nobody asked for. To make matters worse, basic campus maintenance is treated like an afterthought. Half the student bathrooms are locked down at any given time, plumbing leaks are ignored for weeks, and maintenance fixes are applied like temporary band-aids. Instead of addressing genuine student well-being, curb bullying, or fix deteriorating facilities, the administration and security spend all their energy playing hallway police and treating every student like a suspect. Education, safety, and basic student respect are simply not priorities at this school. North Canyon feels far more focused on control and surface appearances than actually helping teenagers succeed. Save your child the frustration and look into literally any other option.

Heyy its me i'm back i'm a 6th grader who graduated from this school 6 months ago and i thought i'd…read moregive it a review as a 7th grader sense i went here from 2nd-6th I have sections for specific grade and teacher reviews also this is coming from a straight A student who was straight As & Bs at this school anyways i'm gonna do a basic review on the school in general first so idk why but i always got MYSELF that's right MYSELF into trouble at that school i think it was bcs influence of others though bcs nowadays i make straight A's & haven't gotten in trouble once..like idk i loved the office workers they were really nice and the principal she was OKAY yk the school is definitely not the cleanest i heard from my friend the janitor literally sweeps all the dirtiness to the sides of the cafeteria then never picks it up and it looked like it so ‍ plus kids never throw stuff away eugh i feel like we didn't have enough school events to but i loved that we had dances but i will tell u the bleachers on the 4th-6th side are iconic they've been there for 6+ years but there still clean and standing there so cute i just love 'em another iconic thing is i met my first girlfriend there and wil forever cherish that school bcs of that yeah echos okay but i'll let u decide how "great" it is! 2ND GRADE!! This was really nice bcs i was teacher pet this year and i really loved my teacher if Miss Shelby is still there give her a raise bcs she was literally the best teacher and was my favorite until i got to 7th that means for 4 WHOLE YEARS so she was the bestt 3RD GRADE!! My teacher this year was Miss Grimes and she was really rude. I hate to say this about a teacher but i had a lot of male friends as a kid. You know what she said to my mom SMILING while i was THERE? that i was a flirt jokes on here though bcs i'm a lesbian now I just you don't know how upsetting that was and i just know that teacher really didn't like me for whatever reason 4TH GRADE!! I wasn't a fan of Miss Riseman but the sub teacher we had for 6 months was really nice I loved Miss Jordan so much 5TH GRADE!! This was online and i'll be honest i didn't really pay attention to anything that year bcs no one else did either like bffr 6TH GRADE!! I really didn't like this year because the students in my class were so horrible plus i looked so ugly with my bleached chin length hair like NO but teacher wise i had Miss Hartman and she was a bit intimidating but she was really cool and i love love love the way she teached her class but ong when we had to switch to Miss Berech I hated it bcs i got in trouble for everything i'd put my head down for a second or grab a pencil and she'd take 5 points away i never left her class with full points and that was my least favorite part of my dayy

my sister Delilah came back from school and she said they didnt let her eat lunch. hate this school…read morei went here prek- 4th grade never recommended

This school has been a nightmare to navigate as a parent. My son was on the Pinnacle football team…read morefor 2 years, and from day one it was awful. Coaches allowed him to be abused--one early practice he came home with a huge gash on his neck after they let a kid who didn't like him drag him by his temporary jersey. They made comments like "Don't be so proud, you aren't even that good," then pulled him aside to apologize later. Countless friends left the team due to the same discrimination. My son is a fighter--he earned his spot as a baller on frosh, JV, and into varsity. But the tired racist underculture persists, and leadership does nothing. We're losing students from two-Black-parent households. Black coaches sat back and watched my son get mistreated daily. An ugly incident happened when a dad talked crap about me in Spanish right in front of me (I speak it fluently). At track meets, Pinnacle kids mocked a beautiful dark-skinned Black girl from another school. I'm disgusted by what Pinnacle has provided my son. In the classroom, teachers loved him--he's an honors/AP student, and I'm thankful for those who cared. If you want racial discrimination, feeling like an outcast, and no leaders to address it, Pinnacle is the place. We've moved his talents to Sunrise Mountain, where he has band, a diverse campus, and can enjoy his upperclassmen years.

It's not that bad it's just I'm depressed so it's hard to make friends. Advice is to join a sport…read moreor club when ur a freshman so u won't become a loser like me
