I have probably been a client at Northern Hills Dental for the past 7 years. I really have not a…read morebad thing to say about them and their service during most of the 7 years, except one time when one of the hygienists was quite 'rough' in the cleaning process that resulted in some pain during and after the appointment. Recently, however, I have noticed that they have been quite tardy in their appointment schedules. For the second time in recent memory, I have waited in excess of 35 minutes for my appointment (the first occurrence was much longer than 35 minutes), not including the time I waited before my scheduled appointment time (I always try to arrive early for my appointments). This defeated the purpose of me getting off work a half hour early so that I can get all dental work done before my following dinner commitment. I am not sure how often this happens at Northern Hills Dental but it has happened to me twice. If I were repeatedly late 30 minutes for my appointments, I am sure they would have told me to reschedule. I understand that there are sometimes circumstances that could have extended the appointment before me but that could have been avoided by properly estimating the amount of time it takes for each appointment. For example, extra time should be set aside for children dental appointment. I know that is the case with my toddler... it always takes longer than scheduled. I understand that the delay for them to see me was because they were in the middle of a procedure for a child that took longer than they had allowed for. However, this is the type of repeated experience that causes client to go elsewhere regardless of the reason.

The dental assistant was very nice and competent. The hygienist Chantelle was AMAZING. She handled my tooth sensitivity with such care that I did not have one single twinge. The front end staff is friendly, efficient and competent. In the chair I was cold and was offered a blanket, some water, and the dental chair gives a relaxing massage with they work on your teeth. In the Alberta where dental fees are not regulated and we pay the highest dental fee in the country, all I ask is that we get treated right at the appointment and not be a waste of my time. You can read my Yelp review of them if interested. Back to Toothville... it is a small dental clinic but the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The appointments were on-time and I felt like my business was valued there. Also, booking the appointment, they try to fit you in within a reasonable time frame. From my two visits here, I am quite impressed with the this dental clinic. I hope they do not change the way they service their clients. I will be doing an update review in the future.
