Karyn (branch manager) was so kind and helpful from beginning to end. She is true to her word and goes above and beyond. I was ready to put 20% down on my recent purchase, but Karyn ran numbers for me and helped me to see that it was more financially comfortable to put 10% down and keep the other 10% as reserves. Karyn helped me buy points to keep my rate down. She also used her strong network and connections to extend my rate lock in order to accommodate contingencies the seller was working on. She covered the cost for a mobile notary that came out. Karyn did so much and was kind from beginning to end. Thank you, Karyn! We appreciate you sooo so much. Kristine (Karen's assistant) is also golden. She was so kind and helpful, even after escrow closed when I had questions about my escrow final statement. Awful experience I would never recommend using this company the people I dealt with were Richie Sorensen, Liz Lopez, and Sarah wright. I have been in escrow for over 60 days with minimal communication no emails or texts ever get responded too until you reach out to their supervisor. I am supposed to close in 3 days now they are requesting things that take weeks to get. In the 4 homes I have bought I have never dealt with the lack of professionalism and communication like this. I will never use them or recommend to anyone. Find another company to use. read more

This is a continuation of my last review. It is now October and nothing has still been done. All "tasks" have been input incorrectly and no follow through has been done. Since this is now my mortgage money that is held up with the mortgage company, last week I spoke to a specialist who said he put in another "task" to apply the payment to this month's payment remainder I did over the phone with him. I called today the 7th of October and was told it was not done and another task was created and a callback requested from a supervisor. No supervisor has ever called me yet, I do not believe that they will call me back or fix the issue as everyone there seems incompetent and has no customer service skills or follow through. I was told also they had until the 15th now to get this task completed to apply the over payment they failed to send back to me in September to my current October payment I made over the phone with the agent. This is unacceptable l!!!!!!!!!!!! I received a comment from the company on my prior review and.... guess what ..... they did absolutely nothing. BTW I've had agents hang up on me, no warm transfers, Mrs walker answered and acted like she could not hear me and hung up at 4:17pm central. Raised our mortgage by $1500 without notifying us at all so of course when they tried to withdraw the amount we only had our regular mortgage available (account souly for that). We tried to call when we noticed the amount wasn't taken out and saw the increase but couldn't get anyone on the phone after waiting over an hour multiple days. Got a call from "customer support person" with the last name Snow who was incredibly dismissive and rude stating we owe an additional $200 in late fees even though no one contacted us or answered for us to make the increased $1500 a month payment. Never had an issue with this company until now in our 2 years of using them. Obviously not happy with any of the situation. Horrible customer support. read more

If you don't know how to close a loan in 45 days, you shouldn't be in the mortgage business. I don't know if you respect your own time, but you have no right to disrespect somebody else's time. I will make it a point to let everybody in my network know to never get into business with you. Can't bundle requests either at one go; some request comes in a day and then suddenly you forget all about it and the next one is like 7 days after. When a request is made, I need to respond immediately but you take your own sweet time to review the submitted documents. I originally had no issues with this company. Until now! I have never missed a payment set automatically. For certain reasons my auto payments were stopped. When I called in to confirm my payments were canceled. I was told yes, so I made a manual payment over the phone with the agent who told me the payments were in fact stopped. To my surprise the next day not only did my payment go through so did the auto payment. I immediately contacted to get the additional payment corrected and refunded to my account. after 1 week of a "task" being created and no refund yet. I called in to inquire and was told nothing was done after being on the phone for over 8 hours!!!!!! nothing was notated, or completed. After speaking to several agents they found the issue. They mis- applied the extra payment to my escrow account!!! After discovering this the agent stayed on the line with me and got me to the payments department to correct the issue and send payment. I was told by the payments department I should have my payment by next Friday. This was the Friday prior. they said they could absolutely not expedite the check. they can not send via ach, even though they can accept ach. I was told the "task" was put in. still no apologizing or urgency. side note im a single mom living in a condo. I live pay check to paycheck almost 1000 extra has really taken a toll on my account. I waited until that next Thursday to contact them and to my surprise no one knew anything but after being transferred to several more agents I was told the "task" was only submitted last week and they had until that Friday to complete it. meaning look at it and cut a check. They did not ever apologize to except for someone told me the wrong time line! really? that's what you are apologizing for! so after being told again it will be completed by tomorrow again. would not even attempt to ask if they could just expedite the check. said there was no one to contact. I know this is crap there is most definitely a payments department and I would have been happy had they just done a "task" to them asking that it be done sooner than later. could not even guarantee it would be done by Friday. Friday rolls around and I call in to make sure it was sent and it was. I did not trust that it would be for obvious reasons. So now its Thursday and I still have no check. im dreading to call again as if they messed up again it will delay for more time. I have no more time to wait!!!! horrible company with bad values. Troy Williams is unreliable branch manager who does not keep up with promises and keeps lying. I was trying to refinance my loan he was keep telling me everything was fine and I just have to wait. he said he knows the appraiser and ill get the value to get into their 80% ltv. First appraisal came out 50k lower. Troy said let's do another one for sure this one is going to work(I have email from him saying that). Paid again$700 and same thing came back lower. He told me to do it again. I spent overall 4K on appraisals and 4 months in limbo. He went on vacation to Mexico and turned off his phone for a week and no one else was working on the loans. Ive complained to corporate office and Greg Callaghan and have several emails recorded. HE tried to assist at first but after couple of days just ghosted me. I was unable to refinance and lost a lot of time trying to get out of hard money loan accrued per diem fees for all this time and had to hire attorney to negotiate those fees. Where do I even begin! First time being a home owner and this has been by far the worst experience. Everything was so smooth with the underwriters and closing and then the problems began 4 months afterwards. First they indicated I had a shortage on my escrow which was incorrect (good luck getting in touch with their customer service) second they placed a random insurance in my escrows which was another mistake on their part. And now a year and two months later from closing they are not saying I have a 4000 shortage on my escrow. Mind blowing. I have a call log now going and emails archived and refuse to fix their mistakes and in discrepancies with my escrows. So my mortgage payments have increased over 500 dollars a month in less than 6 months and in a year 700 dollars. Thank god they finally removed the insurance however how can someone's monthly mortgage increase so high with only a 700 dollar increase between taxes and Insurance this year? They still can't explain it and transfer me over to the escrow department with no resolution. This has been a nightmare. Also their dashboard... don't even try messaging them!!! They do not reply, I currently have over 6 messages in the course of three months that they have not had the decency to reply back to. This has been a nightmare! I have even contemplated on selling my home to just get rid of this nightmare, it is not something I would want to deal with for next 30 yrs. So disappointed and disgusted with their customer service. read more

It's obvious the positive reviews are from employees or people affiliated with the company. If you are going to write fake reviews to save your ass, you should at least try to match how a normal human would speak. "I am a real client" give me a break. 5* professionally written reviews among a sea of trash, you're grimey. No one wants to look at your Google reviews, which I know you are able to have removed at your own discretion. (Because I worked for a marketing company that did that exact thing for businesses so please don't act like that's not a real thing.) Update - Christina is amazing - she reached out to me almost immediately and got the ball rolling. Unfortunately, the efficiency started and stopped with her. As of today, still no payment to the county 98 days delinquent. The buyer of my house has Paramount. The closing was a nightmare - no communication and multiple pushed dates at the last minute. However - nothing compares to what I am going through now. They have the money for taxes in an escrow account (8 months of the money is MINE) and have not paid yet. They will not discuss it without getting permission from the buyer but won't call the buyer to ask (I don't have his contact information!). It appears that I will have to pay the taxes and sue them for the 4k that they have sitting in an account. Avoid at all costs! read more

If I could give a negative star review I would. I started my refinance around December 18. I provided all information on a timely manner. I informed my loan processor that I had a heloc, it wasn't until February that they said I had to contact that back for subordination letter. I did and that bank said it would take up to 15 business days to process. Here it is, April 12, still have not closed on my loan. Original rate was 2.375% now it is 3%. It'll cost me $80 more a month for the life of the loan. Over $29k!!!!!! Bull sh!t! I'm being punished because their processor had to quarantine for covid and then because he and his wife are separating!!! Not happy at all!!! And then call the regional manager and his voicemail isn't setup and his box is full. I can imagine it is if these reviews are true!!! read more

They bought my loan on refinance, their system is a huge amount of garbage to setup for auto pay. I keep trying and its telling me that the name on my loan is not the same on my account (it is). This company either has a really poor development department for their web app, or they are really excited about printing out paper bills and receiving checks. Every company I've worked with that I've linked my account to uses a 3rd party to verify your account by depositing a few cents in 2 transactions, you verify the amounts, then they debit your account for that same amount. This company just needs someone with the same name. So in reality, I could use an account (not mine) that has the same name as my bill and they would pay my mortgage? I look forward to rates going down again so I can refi to someone else. Steer clear of this dumpster fire if you can! read more

This mortgage group is the worse, and I can't stretch this enough! They have all of my insurance confused, and they need to figure out WTF is happening. I keep calling and emailing the same documents repeatedly, and it seems I need help! Like nobody! in that company communicate with each other!!!!! I see a charge to my escrow of $3,199.00 for flood insurance. I already paid out of my pocket more than a month ago and submitted the new coverage before the other expired. These people are terrible! No complaints about the staff underwriting the loan, the process was very smooth. The problems start with their loan servicing department, and if you don't believe me, check out their reviews on BBB. Even here on Yelp, you will notice a trend that all positive reviews are about obtaining the loan, and all negative reviews are due to problems with loan servicing. They've polished the salesman side of their business (which you'll work with for 1-2 months while closing the loan), but the support side that you'll deal with for the 30 years after is where the real problems start. Atrocious customer service, and complete apathy to problems they themselves create for their consumers through errors on their end (my loan is serviced by their NJ branch, and for the last 2 months I've been trying to get someone to fix a credit delinquency report due to a problem caused by their autopay). You will often have to call several times to reach a rep with a working phone who can actually hear you. To make matters worse, the customer service department is unable to resolve any issues, they simply open a "work order" for another department to look into. Based on my understanding (it's been 2 months trying to resolve a credit dispute error THEY themselves caused), the department looking into these issues is located in completely different state. They promise 7-business day turn-around, which is a complete lie. Your case will not even be looked at until a month later. If you try to follow up, you may find out that no ticket was opened at all or no notes were added to the ticket, resulting in it being closed without action. They will apologize, open a new ticket, promise to escalate it, and even promise a manager call back. This is again all a lie to make you feel better, the managers NEVER call back (I have made 6 attempts now to reach the manager). The "escalation" of your "work order" is a lie as well. I've had 4 of my follow up work orders "escalated" now and after 2 months I still have not had any higher ups look at the issue. It's a miracle no one has sued this company yet for blatant violation of consumer rights. read more

This company is only good at one thing, taking your payments. For two years now they have screwed up my Escrow disbursements to taxes and homeowners insurance. They refuse to update their records when notifications are sent to them from the County or Insurance. They show on their webpage that payments are made, but they never show up. I have had to pay my taxes and insurance on the due date for these past years and then wait for them to get around to settling my Escrow account to then send me a check weeks or months later. Yup, paying twice for their incompetency. Their only response is either: (you) the homeowner are ultimately responsible for the timely payment, or 'we cannot use our internal secure messaging service to answer your question, you must call us' (and wait on hold) to start your story all over again with someone new. If I am required by law to have an escrow account then they should be required by law to update payment amounts when notified and ensure timely payments that don't even come close to the due date. I shouldn't have to make sure they do their job and bail them out when they don't. What do I need an escrow account for if I have to do all of the work? Stay away if you can, or at least stay away from their PMI / Escrow services. read more

Several rude and unprofessional people working here. I was placed in a group chat with several people I had not communicated with who tried to discourage me from buying a new construction. The person I did work with was extremely pushy, telling me repeatedly to put in an offer when my job was not finalized yet out of state. When it came closer to closing on the house I actually wanted, I was suddenly told my down payment would need to increase by another 5-10%. When I asked about this they were basically banking on my house being delayed since it was a new build, and that way they could go off of my higher salary instead of intro salary at my new job. None of that was explained to me until after the discloser statement was sent to me. Bait and switch tactics. Unprofessional. Disrespectful. I dropped them and switched to another lender and didn't look back. read more

This is the worst company I have been working with. The agent told us they could give us a very low interest rate which they said it was employee discount, but that is not true. After we signed the documents, they just said the interest rate was going up (which we can totally understand) and we should pay by what the grid showed (that was not the same as they told us before). I feel like they used the information asymmetry to cheat customers. And the attitude of the sales manager Abdel Khawatmi is totally unacceptable. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They put me in a forbearance plan that I DID NOT ASK for as I was making full payments at the same time and then comes time i sale the house and go round and round with them trying to get a letter for the new lender stating this was an error on their part and my loan is current. This has been going on for 2 weeks now, with different answers every single day and now today is the last day or i lose the current contract i am under and me and my 15 year old son are going to be without a home. I recommend you looking at your portal very closely b/c things you didn't do or request will appear. ALSO THEY GET GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR LOANS THAT ARE IN FORBEARANCE - HMMMMM IMAGINE THAT. OKAY - so now its been 12 days and NOTHING has been resolved or PROVEN b/c i did not ask for this so called forbearance plan / assistance or whatever you call it. After numerous emails as well as calls again NOTHING. My next action is legal in which i will see compensation for the anxiety, the aggravation of all this over one stupid letter that they just can not admit was an error on their part. I also copied the CEO (Paul Rozo) on all my emails and do you think i heard from him or even his assistance. NOPE, the lack of customer service over this is beyond ridiculous and def. should be checked into b/c i really do not know how this company is up and running with any kind of function b/c they just sit around making people suffer. read more

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I wanted to share my story to make sure no one has the same issue. Paramount Residential Mortgage informed me I was approved and the manager confirmed I would not have a down payment. I FOUND A HOME, PAID FOR ALL INSPECTIONS AND HAD CLOSING COME UP IN 3 weeks then they said they made a mistake and instead of me paying $7,032 for closing cost I WOULD NEED AT LEAST $20,000 in total. I gave up my home and was living in a hotel due to me going to closing in 3 weeks. The broker was very rude about it and stated "IS NOT LIKE A HAD A CRYSTAL BALL TO SEE THIS COMING". Several months ago, I used the contact us feature on the PRMG website to report a complaint about one of their loan agents in Maryland. In that complaint, I shared my belief that I had been the victim of unethical practices. I provided details, and shared that I have still not received a refund of the $500 I sent the agent for a home appraisal that was never done. I have plenty of documentation to support this. To date, I have received no response. Unfortunately, the local person I dealt with is the branch sales manager and no longer responds to me, although he has admitted fault in texts to me. I'm hoping someone from PRMG sees this and responds. read more

Being self-employed for 14 years and owning 2 homes with one ( not my fault) late payment made me submit 5 yrs of tax returns get 4 hits on my credit and a journey from July-November with this company. Sending ALL bank accounts, and 10 YTD p/l documents, they wanted me to pay off a 0% interest loan. ( Not advised) prior to getting their loan. It was after the 90 days, and I was through. I declined the sale and requested a refund. HI. THANKFULLY, I read the reviews on this site and the abundant number of one star ratings. So glad I bailed. No house, but peace of mind. Next time, I will use a bank THINK 3 times before using them. They delayed 3 times and I signed 2 extensions. I apologize to the sellers but this has me VERY wary of PRMG.
