We had a leak behind our shower (master bedroom) that damaged the floor below and the ceiling in the dining room on the ground floor. This needed the entire shower taken out to have the leak repaired and built back up. Paramount came recommended by Gold Medal (plumbing company) who assessed the damage and recommended the repairs. Paramount initially sounded positive based on reviews however our experience was far from positive. Horribly rebuilt shower with (see images) 1. poor wall finish, causing the door to never be closed fully due to the curved wall 2. Damaged window siding and never repaired correctly (had to call them back twice to refinish it and even then it still looks terrible) 3. Poorly finished corners that are terrible to look at 4. Sharp jagged corners at the bottom of the shower stall near the door 5. Worst part is the shower floor that is beyond incorrectly graded causing pools of water to never fully drain. 6. Another part we can't verify but are certain is the case, is a p-trap was definitely not installed under the drain, which means we have foul sewer odors coming in quite often, and other than ripping out the bottom and repairing/rebuilding it again, we don't have a solution. When pushed about all this terrible work done, their excuse "we were rushed". They disappeared for days on end in between the renovation without clear indication of when they'd be back to complete the work. Hence us pushing to get this finished. Even years after this work was done (Sept 2023) we are constantly reminded of this abysmal work (in case you were wondering why I'm leaving this review now), and would never recommend these folks. read more

The team worked extremely hard and did a great job. They installed my new floor in my two bedrooms and did a good job. The new floors they installed look beautiful. the job was quite bid and they had to move furniture. When the job was completed they put everything back in place. Very unprofessional company. Comes here to get an estimate on Thursday. Then after 5 days he comes with this email (see photo) . Upon linking up with my insurance company, he told the insurance company he wants to talk to me direct after this email (see photo- all those voice message he is mentioning in the email is a total lie. I never received a single voicemail except for the call today. Phone call history don't lie) . Now he says my job falls well under in minimum estimated amount and offers to give me a handyman contact who can help out . Wasted 5 days of my time!! Never go with these people. We had the pleasure of working with Tom as our agent. He was extremely professional! We just moved into our house a month prior to having water damage so it was a very stressful experience! Tom made sure the work was completed in a timely manner and kept in touch with us along the way. I would never use this company again or refer to anyone I know. I met with the owner John in August 2020 and the project was not finished until 1/2021. There were multiple issues with the job/crew that was assigned to do the job. There were bumps and bubbles in the walls the repaired, spots were missing paint, multiple cracks were found in the tile of my new shower, grout was missing in spots of the new shower, etc. The project manager was also unreliable and unprofessional. He didn't know the contact, told me the crew was coming on certain days and times and they either didn't show up or showed up hours later, waited until the last minute to get the tile I picked out (and the tone/dye lot ended up being discontinued). TO ANYONE CONSIDERING PARAMOUNT, PLEASE READ: My renovation project spanned from May 2020 to June of 2021. As I noted in another review, the work was delayed, due to a slow response on the behalf of Paramount to fix my contracts, and to have a representative come to my household to assess what needed to be done. As a result, the work did not start until January of 2021, which left me living in my damaged home for 8 months. While two individuals (both named Mike) made this up to me in several ways, I have to be honest to anybody looking into Paramount for their renovation project. This was most definitely not a 5-star experience, and I would not recommend Paramount for a larger project. I am selling my house shortly and my neighbors have been asking if I would recommend Paramount. Unfortunately, I could not, as I would not want them going through this experience. On top of this, my family, friends, and realtor agents have all commented that this project has taken too long! I was originally going to keep quiet about my experience, but it is important for future customers to know what they might be getting themselves into, and Paramount should use this review as an opportunity to improve. Paramount appears to be greatly understaffed and disorganized, as they only had 1-2 people working on my house at a time. To add onto this, the workers do not work for the full day. Rather, they come for several hours at a time, scattered throughout the week. Sometimes there have been weeks where Paramount did not show up to my house, to tend to other customers that have been backed up, like myself. There have been times where they would no-show because the workers that Paramount hires do not feel like working. Numerous workers from Paramount and other reviews have indicated that people have waited for long periods of time like myself, and have dealt with unreliability. Lastly, the workers would try to come into my house without masks on, and would not clean up after themselves. I have a great amount of patience, but I am aware that most people would not put up with this. For these reasons, I would not recommend Paramount to do work; especially large amounts of work. There are other contractors out there that can do quality work, without the aggravation and stress. If my home insurance company did not designate Paramount to me, and if there was not a large amount of paperwork that my home insurance company had to exchange with the contractor, I would have utilized another contractor. I used another contractor during the same period of time to do the outside of my house - they got the whole thing done before Paramount even started working on the inside of the house. Furthermore, it appears that most of Paramount's 5-star reviews were for much smaller projects, so it seems that they may be able to complete small projects in fast, reasonable time. If you end up using Paramount for a very small project, I encourage you to request one of the Mikes to be on your project. They are patient, accommodating, and care about the customer read more
