I got a reply from Kelly at The Fence Guy saying that they needed all of the same information to give me an estimate. I immediately replied, and got a quick response saying that I was not in there service area. I responded that I wondered why I was required to give all of the same information that Yelp had requested and that I had furnished, and that their response was a waste of both their time and mine. I got a very sarcastic response from someone named Kelly at The Fence Guy that said I should have first checked their website information before I responded to their email reply, which would have told me that they only do work in Pinellas County, and that the problem was caused by Yelp's "platform". After attempting to cool down for a few hours I later responded to Kelly that I was not familiar with Yelp nor their platform. I am not aware of the work product of The Fence Gury, nor do I care to be, given this person named Kelly's sarcastic response. I assume that Yelp charges some sort of fee to recommend contractors. She may be totally familiar with Yelp's platform, but to totally waste both my time and their's with sarcastic remarks is not what I was l seeking. To Yelp's credit, I received other responses from their list of recommended fence contractors that stated that they were busy due to the hurricane damage, and would get back to me as soon as feasible, which I find totally acceptable and understanding.

Although I would prefer to never give this company another second of my time, I feel obligated to…read moreshare my experience so others understand exactly what they are signing up for. I strongly do not recommend this company. Go local. The project started off seeming smooth enough. You do a video call where they draw up the fence live on screen and you can customize style, spacing, type, etc. That was probably the only convenient part of this entire process. The issue is that every single revision after that becomes a massive headache and takes forever. The first red flag was permits. I asked if I needed one and was told no. I am an Architect and knew immediately that was wrong. I had to send them screenshots of my township requirements for them to realize their mistake. Then they said they could submit for permit, only to come back weeks later and say I needed a survey first -- information they should have told me from day one. Because of that delay, I got stuck waiting through weeks of snow before I could even move forward. Once the survey was done, they claimed they would submit the permit ASAP. Days would go by with no responses. Meanwhile my assigned project manager changed THREE times, so I never even knew who I was supposed to be contacting. Then I found out the permit they supposedly submitted had no payment sent with it. Nearly a month later I was still being told it was "processing." At that point I contacted my township directly because this was starting to feel like a scam. They informed me the permit was filed incorrectly, payment had not been received, and they had emailed Ergeon weeks earlier with corrections that Ergeon never responded to. From there, I spent weeks trying to get ahold of an actual manager. Every phone call involved 45 minute holds just to be told no one was available or I'd be put on a callback list that never resulted in a callback. I eventually worked directly with my township to figure out the actual requirements, which meant revising the plans. On top of that, Ergeon incorrectly told me my fence had to be 4' high, while my township told me there was no issue with a 6' privacy fence. So they were not only delaying me, they were giving me completely false information that would have left me paying for something I didn't even want. Then came hours of me marking up PDFs, color coding revisions, and practically spoon-feeding their permitting team how to edit their own drawings because they kept getting it wrong. I became the unpaid project manager on my own job. The best part? After months of them failing to get a permit approved, I sent my township the same marked up PDF I had already sent Ergeon, and my permit was approved in under ONE HOUR. Finally installation day came. The local contractors themselves were kind and respectful. No complaints there. But while they were actively demolishing my existing fence, I received a text message with a $650 change order because site measurements differed from the contract. Measurements that should have been verified BEFORE construction ever started. So after months of incompetence, they tried charging me more money because they failed to do a pre-site verification. I called my PM -- no answer. Called customer service -- another 45 minute hold and another promised callback that never came. While my fence was literally torn apart. I finally got a manager on the phone after demanding one, and even he admitted the project was handled horribly. They waived the $650 change order and removed the permit fee since I ended up obtaining the permit myself. What is truly insane is that after FOUR MONTHS of delays, misinformation, zero communication, hours of my unpaid labor, and an absurd amount of stress, they still offered no discount or real apology. This company is a middleman that hires local installers while being completely incapable of managing the project. Communication is terrible, permitting is incompetent, and customer service is nonexistent. DO NOT USE THEM. Shop local and save yourself the nightmare.

Ori and his team are exceptional professionals. They take on challenging projects and complete them with impeccable class. We hired them for a very complicated room renovation project which included popcorn removal, molding installation and spackling of new and old sheetrock that was completely uneven. There were about 50 long seams in the sheetrock all throughout the room and ceiling that needed to patched and evened out. This was a messy job and had to be done over brand new hardwood floors. The team covered the floors and worked so quietly I hardly noticed them in the house. Normally I check in on the job and point things out to contractors. With Ori's team, I found they were always ahead of me, attending to aspects that most concerned me, working with the right materials, and taking care of delicate areas of the room. I am very picky and tend to call contractors back for corrections, and have a lot of experience with renovations, yet Ori's work left me completely speechless. The room was completed in 10 days to near perfection. Ori also guarantees the work and will come back for adjustments if needed. I recommend them without hesitation. read more

Upon finding his business, Ori (the company owner) was quick to come out and give us a quote. Compared to other vendors, we found his rates to be fair. He was also able to work with us on a reasonable schedule for the work to be completed. Ori's team of painters represented his company well. They painted our living room (including cathedral ceilings w/ skylights and trim along the floor), dinning room (ceiling and floor trim), a guest bathroom and the ceiling in our kitchen. My wife and I are very satisfied with the work. It feels like we have "new rooms". Ori stands by his company's work but there was no need as his painters made sure we were satisfied with the end results before he could even chime in. And yes, he even stopped by to check out the work, in the end, to make sure we were happy. We were also very impressed with the respect his painters showed for our furniture as well as the clean up job that they did in the end. Best of all, no spilled paint anywhere. As we have brand new carpet, that is huge! We will definitely consider his company for future paint jobs and have already recommended his business to two friends. read more

Ori Avisar and his amazing team did a great job on our house. The house is a fairly large older structure with wooden siding and hadn't been painted for a couple of decades. Ori gave us a firm estimate for scraping and repainting the whole house, siding, and trim, and also told us that he would make sure to tell us when they found any siding that needed replacing and do that additional work for time and materials. When they identified a problem, they told us and got permission to do the additional work. There were no hidden costs at the end of the project! Ori and his team started when he said they would and finished quickly, given the size of the task. Throughout, from picking the colors, to doing additional work--we decided the doors and some stairs also need repainting-- to just keeping us informed about the timetable, Ori was helpful, friendly and professional. The team cleared up all the mess created by removing the old paint and replacing some of the siding, so there was no sign of their presence except a beautiful painted house! Ori and his team were very professional, courteous and respectful in showing up with face coverings while interacting with me personally to provide estimates and complete the job. Had Ori's painters paint dental and accent molding on front of house at the roof peak that I couldn't reach myself. Also had them inspect and clean out eaves troughs and downspouts that were blocked with leaves and .... a tennis ball! Painting was perfect including the caulking of a seam in the molding that I forgot but they didn't because of the professional work they do. The finished job looks great and no more over-flowing roof drains. I will acknowledge that there were some delays in scheduling the work, first due to rain which postponed starting then due to conflicts with another customer's job. However, I wasn't concerned as I'm working from home due to Covid, was available whenever Ori's workers could make it. I had kitchen cabinets that were popular in the 80's that needed a modern look "desperately", together with the railings in the staircase also in yellow color. One contractor told me she only paints the cabinet, not the railings. So I put this project off for years... Learned about Ori's Painting and Trim from a friend. I'm so happy when Ori told me that they will take care of both the cabinets and the railings. They gave me ample samples and time to decide the color for the cabinets as there are many shades of white, and colors for the railing to match my dark chestnut floor. The guys were so detailed with their work, and kept the house clean after each day. In the end, my kitchen and stairways were transformed completely! Paintings and Trim completed a variety of jobs over a span of 5 months - all done professionally and with care. At my mom they built and rebuilt sheetrock over water pipes in several rooms, spackled and painted. In the process they had to match and blend in with existing 20 year old paint. The final product was so seamless, it looked like it was done when the house was built. At my house, they repaired and replaced water damaged ceilings inside and cedar shakes, rotted boards and doorframes outside. Then they painted or stained the ceilings, outside walls, doors and trim. Some of the work required operating at considerable heights and tricky angles (dormer windows) and a high degree of precision (some trim). Again the word "professionalism" comes to mind. And if I had a request or comment, Ori was responsive. Top notch outfit! read more

We are thrilled with the job Ori and his crew did restoring our home to its former glory! It needed extensive repairs and we were concerned that we would need a contractor. Sammy did an amazing job, going above and beyond our expectations. Willie and his painting crew took their time to do a quality job, pressure washing, scraping, sanding and caulking prior to priming and painting. They patiently gave advice when I was indecisive as to color placement ( I used 3 colors). Even on those 90 degree humid days they worked hard and were pleasant and well mannered. Ori Avisar and his team did a complete exterior paint job on my house this fall (2020), a two story clapboard house with separate garage. The work was done in a careful professional way, with meticulous surface preparation. Some carpentry was required as well, and that was done by a clearly skilled expert, especially improving the look of the garage. The result is the best the house has looked in 30 years. Once the work started, the members of the team required for different stages were scheduled in an organized way, so there were few idle days apart from rain. Maurice and his crew went above and beyond to complete the roofing in one day on our 2,400 sq foot home and worked on a Sunday to complete the chimney leak issue to avoid further damage to our interior wall. Maurice contacted us prior to each visit, explained his work thoroughly, and took such pride and passion in his work.
