This was our first ever parasailing trip, and we had a good time, but it also wasn't what we expected it would be. It's cool to go up 300 plus feet in the air, but after about 2 minutes it's kinda boring until you get dipped if you decide to get dipped. You can bring a GoPro or an old school disposable camera on the boat. Supposedly, the crew works off tips, which I doubt, but I would still tip them a little something. If you want to take pictures of your parasailing adventure, look elsewhere. Before getting on the boat, you'll be told that you're not allowed to bring phones cameras or backpacks due to insurance reasons. However, if you would like, you can purchase an additional photo package and they will take pictures for you and then give them to you on a SIM card. I'm sure there's some truth to this, but I did see people from a previous outing bring a GoPro with them, and nobody on the boat seemed to mind. Therefore, the picture restriction seems like a clear upsell opportunity to me, and it was honestly very frustrating. therefore, I would encourage that you call ahead and ask what their policies are around photography before paying, only to find that if you want photos, you'll have to pay extra. We go here every year, normally a 5 star rating. This year was amateur hour. After the parasailing was done rather than return to the dock everyone was transferred to a dingy style boat. It splashed and got most people wet. My 12 year old was hit in the head by the rope the crew guy was throwing around and for some reason rather than handing the SD card with the pictures to my 16 year old or 12 year old, the crew guy put it in his pocket. Only their SD card, not anybody else's. Back at shore after being told to wait "a few minutes" for him to return with it I decided to ask how much longer as it was already 25 minutes of waiting. They couldn't say exactly, but at least another 20 minutes. I decided to return later. Upon return multiple people were complaining that they had the wrong pics, etc. it seemed comical to the ladies working the booth but every customer was visibly annoyed. I hope they get back to the level they were at in previous years because it makes a huge difference. 6 years of going and this was the only year with a not so great experience but I'm hoping they read this and improve to the level they were at previously. read more

Day of sailing we reached and found out that sailing was canceled due to the weather conditions, they were ready to issue a refund or reschedule. Went on Friday morning at 8:30AM because you get $15 off if you go before 8:30 and had an amazing experience! This was my first time parasailing and I'm so glad I chose them. So when it is time to get on the boat to go out in the waters you are grouped with a few others. In my time slot we had a total of 4 groups including mine. Although the next time slot only had one group, so it really depends. Anyways each group was up there for 10 minutes and my boyfriend and I went last so we were just enjoying the view for around 30 minutes. Also the staff is super friendly and funny, so they definitely did a great job in keeping us entertained. When it was finally our turn, I got super excited!! When we finally got up there, the view was AMAZING from up there. I have no complaints except compliments. The staff seemed to know what they were doing and I felt very safe. Overall it was a great experience. We also got the photo package for $24 which comes with a memory card, and the photographer took 37 pictures for us!! I honestly think it's worth it because they don't allow electronics so the only way you can have these memories physically are these amazing photos! I highly recommend this place! Tips: -You may get a little wet because they dip you a little in the water towards the end so be aware of that -It is cheaper before 8:30 AM, you get $15 off and I believe before 12 PM you get $10 off (quite unsure of the discount before 12, def should give them a call!) -I would recommend booking online or calling them in advanced especially if it is peak season HAVE FUN!! read more

My sister, her boyfriend, and I spontaneously decided to add parasailing to our list of Lake George activities and it was our best decision of the trip. If you book before 11am you get $5 off each rider, so we went at 11am. You can either ride 1, 2, or 3 at a time; we chose to all go together. Captain Jim and the man who assisted him were very nice, very knowledgeable, and made my very anxious sister feel safe. We were up in the air for about 12 minutes and the entire experience lasted about 40 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! The highlight of our trip, for sure! (Don't forget to bring cash to tip these lovely, hard-working gentlemen.) EDIT: My original post mentioned my disappointment with the quality of the pictures we received.. turns out the new camera they used was defective. This was an amazing experience. It's about $75 dollars per person and is worth every penny. You are placed with a group of about 10 people. You can parasail with up to three people at a time. Don't worry about getting wet and dress warm. Especially if you are going to do the morning run. The morning run is also slightly cheaper than the afternoon spots. You'll be up in the air for about 8-10 minutes. The harness they put you in feels like your 300 feet up in a lounge chair. It's actually quite relaxing. The only draw back is that you have to wait for everyone to parasail before you can go back to shore. Which takes about an hour. I highly recommend this activity if you're in town. read more

This was a great experience! I'm really happy we ended up doing this while visiting Lake George. The staff was very friendly. We went on an earlier run (9am) and thankfully there were only two other groups going up with us. The whole trip took about 45 minutes. It was also cool just to be sitting out on the boat and chatting with the other people. The pictures were good however many were out of focus or focused on a section of the rope instead of the actual parasail. It wouldn't hurt to get a better quality camera or maybe a bit of training in photography. It's obviously hard to focus the shot while on a moving boat however, it is $24 so I they could have been better. Either way I don't regret the decision to get photos taken. Definitely try out parasailing if you haven't done so before! read more

Mixed feelings about this place. The ride was fun although we didn't go out for our 12 o'clock until 20 after even though they told us to be there 15 minutes before noon. We didn't get up into the air until around 1:30. The people on the boats were extremely nice, knowledgeable about the area and entertaining. My issue is with the manager at the land base. He is a mean old man and you can't miss him. He was yelling at his customers, random kids walking by his stand, and his own employees over the radio, which was very embarrassing having to hear that as a customer. He's a jerk and it really ruined my mood, and it showed in the way the place is run. Pretty disorganized because he does more yelling than working. We got the photo package, but it wasn't really worth it. The girl, who was just the boat driver, didn't even have a long lens and only snapped a few pictures on take off and landing. Let me emphasize that the people on the boat were nice and enjoyed what they were doing. But the long wait, disorganization, and evil old man made this place suck more than rock. read more

We went for my friends 80th birthday. Staff was helpful. Great activity to see the views of lake George. We had to wait on the boat taxi for a bit before getting on the boat to sail but time went fast. They are adamant on you not bringing any electronics. Even waterproof cameras. My friends daughter has to show one of the staff members that it was waterproof before she convinced her she was ok to take it. Overall great time. Staff on the boat does ask for tips. We had an 11am fly time today and when we got there the captain and the other young man on the boat were extremely friendly, personable and helpful. This was a first time experience for myself and family including young children and the experience was GREAT. The only reason I didn't post 5 stars was because of the picture package. it was $43.50 for the package which included photos of our 2 groups that went up. While the staff was amazing- the photos are not and being a fan of photography, I was extremely disappointed. The majority of the photos are blurry and out of focus, and the ones that are in focus, we are up in the air so far you can't even identify us. It was really upsetting going through them because there are approximately 12 photos total that are in somewhat in focus - but none worth printing out due to the poor quality. read more

SO MUCH FUN! The guides were excellent. We brought our 88 year old grandfather on the boat with us and he had a blast. The drivers took the time to help him and ensure he was comfortable. The ride lasted a decent amount of time and we were able to get really high in the air. They have us the option to dip our feet on the ride which we did but you can stay totally dry if you choose. This should be a "must do" during a visit for most of us to Lake George. Last Sunday (8/18/13) my wife and 2 teenage children parasailed on the 9 am departure along with about 6 others. My children went first and then my wife and I. We felt safe under the direction of their competent and friendly staff. I brought my own camera (even on the parasail) and mistakenly left it in the shoe box on the dock after the ride (what was I thinking??). After retracing our steps later that morning we were all relieved to find that the staff was aware of the camera in the shoe box and the manager indicated that they would have called all parasailer groups that day to determine the owner of the camera! That was nice to hear and we were relieved to have our camera back with so many great pictures of this experience and others. read more

My husband and I booked our parasailing adventure during a family trip to Lake George. It was both our first time parasailing. Since we booked an appointment prior to 12 noon, we received a $10 discount. We arrived about half hour early for our appointment. Apparently the boats were overbooked (there are supposed to be 10 people per boat), the workers had reserved spots for 14 people per boat. This caused a delay. I overheard a man at the counter asking why they were still waiting at 8:30 am to go out on a boat they had booked for 8:00 am. I was appalled by how the manager spoke to him. I was expecting him to be all apologies, but instead he was completely obnoxious and said "what do want me to do fire the girls because they can't do math? It's not my fault one of my captain's didn't show up today. You can either have a refund or come back tomorrow". The man simply stated that it would have been nice to have been informed of the delay. I felt badly hearing this exchange and thought that the customer was very reasonable and that the manager was way out of line. I guess when you run a business like that at Lake George, customers are plentiful so you can get away with treating them poorly which is such a shame. We were luckier than that customer. We only had to wait 15 min. past our appointment time and our boat only had 6 people on it! The guys on our boat were awesome! They made it such a wonderful, fun and memorable experience. We purchased the photo package for an extra $24 and it was well worth it. We were told we would get an SD card with 8-12 photos. We were psyched to discover 84 pictures on our card!!! We got a perfect day and had a wonderful experience. Truly, the only negative was witnessing and overhearing the manager treat the other customers poorly. If they get rid of him or he has an attitude adjustment, the business will be perfect! read more

Would not recommmend. Customer service is lacking and left to a bunch of young kids. Booked a parasailing trip with them in the afternoon and planned the whole day around it. When we got there we were told that we would not be able to sail due to weather conditions which is respectable. The only issue was that sailing was shut down 3.5 hours earlier and didn't bother calling me until we were walking over and missed the call because it was in my bag. They apologized for not calling sooner admitting they should have which was basically an admission of guilt. Wasted most of the afternoon waiting to go sailing and could have easily done something else if they would have called when they knew the conditions were not safe. I was also upset that we had to walk a half mile into town in 85 degree heat to find out we were not sailing. Also beware, we were told we could not bring phones or electronic devices on the boat which I found odd. I found out later they do this so you cannot take pictures and before you go on the boat they try and sell you an overpriced picture package. I have parasailed before in various places and never have been restricted with electronic devices. read more

Very rude and unprofessional ownership. We left and will not come back to this business ever. The female worker at this location was lovely and tried to be accommodating but then the male owner came and was incredibly rude and we left as a result. We came here on vacation and after calling the day before to make sure that they would be open, they closed and would not allow us to parasail because it had been raining that morning, though the weather turned out to be lovely later on (when we arrived). The owner was incredibly rude to us and kept asking 'did you read the groupon'? as it was dependent on weather. Obviously he did not read the weather forecast or have enough customer service ability to treat us with respect. We will return the groupon and not come back to this location. If you are planning to enjoy your time in lake George and be treated with respect in order to enjoy your experience, do not come here. I would not encourage contributing to an inconsiderate owner who cares only about money and not customers. read more

Our original time was cancelled due to high winds and they gave us a phone call notification before we left, offering us a full refund, or the option to reschedule, we chose the latter.
