My kids learning to kyack and paddleboard
    Brian T.

The people that run this amazing business also own the hote. The owner, Mike, is one of the nicest people ive met. His son also works there, and like father like son. The kyacks they rent are top quality both 1 and 2 person. The staff provides instruction for novices. The area is a no wake area and is very safe for exploring. You can rent by the hour of for the day. You can sit at their private beech while family and friends are on the lake. Its very accommodating. I can't emphasize how amazing the people are that own this business and the property. You have to come see if you dont believe me. They made our vacation very enjoyable.

If you're looking for a fun, family friendly day on the lake, this is the place to be! Jared helped us fill out paper work and was extremely friendly and personable. They even have water proof cases for your phone which was awesome because we forgot all about that! After we filled out the paperwork we walked down the yard to the lake and Allyson helped get all of our kayaks and paddle boards in the water. We went out for two hours and had an awesome time. Upon getting back to the beach, Allyson was down there to help us get off and get out. Jared came running down to assist. They carried our boards and kayaks back. We didn't have to lift them at all, which is amazing when you're with kids! Overall this was an amazing experience and I highly suggest this for anyone who is looking to do some fun water activities. The prices were very reaso and well worth it! The staff is amazing, great customer service!

Friendly and speedy rental process. Nice kayaks. Turn left from the beach and enjoy a mansion tour. If you're lucky you'll see the vultures gather shortly after you turn left. Would come back again.

Great spot and you can swim if there is a wait for kayaks. I highly recommend for a day adventure.

There was a group of about 12 of us and Mike was so fast to accommodate all of us considering it was very last minute.

Found this on the internet yesterday…read more Sad and tragic news regarding Tom. ----- Obituary for Thomas P. Jones V November 29, 1987-August 18, 2022 Thomas P. Jones V has sadly passed away on the evening of August 18, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He died doing something he truly enjoyed. Thomas graduated from South Glens Falls in 2006 and continued on to get an Associate's degree from ACC. After graduating from ACC, he worked at Trustco bank in South Glens Falls for a short time until he realized that he had to follow his dreams. Five years ago, he decided he wanted to open his own business and that is when Devocean Watersports was born. He managed to put together a great team of employees that helped him with boat charters and jet-ski tours on Lake George, out of the hotel "Twin Birches." Thomas loved his business and put everything he had into it. His smile and enthusiasm was infectious to everyone he met along his journey in life. He really enjoyed teaching people how to do things that was out of their norm. Thomas also made many friends down in Marathon within the keys were he went every winter, enjoying life to the fullest. He was predeceased by his father Thomas P. Jones IV. Thomas is survived by his mother Denise Jones, his brother Patrick Jones, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowen and two uncles Christopher and Bob Bowen. Family and friends may call from 10 am to 12 noon on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Rd., Queensbury, NY. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury, NY. A celebration of Thomas' life will continue at the Highland Country Club immediately following the burial. I always, and I mean ALWAYS, had a great time jet skiing with you every summer since you opened your business in 2017. My most sincere condolences to your family and friends. Until we meet again...

My friends and I decided to go to The Lodge on Harrisburg Lake for our annual cottage trip. This…read morelocation was chosen purely because it was halfway between both groups of people coming (in between Montreal and New York). If you are arriving there after work try to get there before it gets dark because finding the location in the mountains was quite tricky at night. THE CHALET: The Lodge has a few chalets and a main lodge with rooms. We rented out Chalet Wolf which sleeps 12 guests for 3 nights. It was only $200 per night and we had 10 people. The chalet itself was a lot bigger and nicer than we expected, the photos on their website does not do it justice. It has 3 stories, large parking space (can fit 3 cars). The kitchen was huge with all the equipment you will need, also had a BBQ on the patio. There 2 baths + 1 washroom, and many rooms with beds, it comfortably slept the 10 of us. AMENITIES: The lodge itself has a restaurant/bar where you will often find the owner, and his friendly Dalmation. There is a pool (not heated), pool and ping pong tables at the bar, a basketball and a tennis court. There is a small lake in walking distance, where you can ask the owner for his canoes, kayak and pedal boat (all free of charge). The lodge is surrounded by lots of space, we think it used to be a ranch of some sort, where we tossed around a frisbee. SERVICE: The owner is Polish and we believe he manages the business with his family. He is extremely friendly and helpful. We asked him for things like a large pot (to cook curry) and he got it for us right away. LOCATION: The location is right at the Adirondack mountains. We did not go exploring but it is a very quiet and spacious cottage country. There are also hiking trails but you need to drive there (~5km away). There is also a town not very far away where you can buy groceries but everything closes very early. The only complaint would be the amount of mosquitos/flies. It can be very overwhelming. We continuously drenched ourselves in mosquito repellant and wore clothing to cover but even then the deer flies (or whatever they are) had a good feast with us. The bites can get very irritating. All in all we had a lot of fun at this trip and best of all it was very affordable for the quality of the stay. I would definitely recommend for a large group of friends or families to stay at Chalet Wolf. They also have smaller and bigger chalets.

Just got back from a 4 day stay with my husband, 2 toddlers and mom. We rented the Chalet Loon. 4…read moreBR, 3 bath, 3 levels, big deck, fully stocked kitchen, bbq, private fire pit. Great WiFi inside. Small tv/dvd player. Spacious, decorated simple and warm. The bedroom windows had little or no covering which made sleeping difficult. My kids were up at first light. Next time we stay we will be bringing sleep masks. Water pressure was great! Super hot water too. The staff are all extremely friendly and warm. They even had our chalet ready for us 4 hours early. We had dinner at the lodge one night. It was amazing! The Italian wedding soup...I had 3 bowls. My husband loved the cutlets and the chunky mashed potatoes were so delicious. And it was enough to feed an army. Everything is home made and extremely fresh. Comfort food. We also had breakfast the day we left. The pancakes were sensational. Bacon, eggs...absolutely delicious. There are a lot of bugs. A lot. Bring bug spray. The lake is absolutely beautiful and clean. Be prepared it is a steep short walk down a hill. My mother got winded on the way back up (she is a smoker). We ended up driving a little further down the road to a spot where we could drive up to so she wouldn't be left out. We will definitely be back. We really liked not being in Lake George which is a tourist trap. It was quiet and we had beautiful weather so we were able to be outside a lot. We loved the charm of the place as well as the staff. We loved having our own private house and the price is unbeatable. We packed (almost) everything we needed so we wouldn't have to do the long drive to town. Of course I forgot batteries and we had to do it. After we checked out we ended up heading to lake George to waste time and avoid traffic. It was so overwhelming and overstimulating after being in such a serene place at the lodge that we couldn't wait to leave. Thank you for such a great relaxing stay. We can't wait to be back!
