If you visit Manarola with you own vehicle, this is as close as you can get to town. There's a section for cars and a section for RVs.
You pay in advance by meter. Coins or credit cards (even though my MasterCard didn't work here). It's about 2 Euros for an hour, which is fair. There is a bus/shuttle going to town, but it's not a long walk, maybe 10'-15'. We walked down. But it can be a bit steep, so maybe it's not for everybody.
There's always people coming and going. So it felt safe dropping the car here. Of course you could take the train, which stops just at the village, but I prefer to be independent. And the drive here is an amazing thing to do (and not for the faint-hearted).
There's no shade, so your car will heat up good in summer, be aware of that. read more
