Excellent tour! Fabulous tours of the vineyards of Moët et Chandon, Pommery, Bollinger, etc. We were able to taste at Cuperly and Pommery. Learned all about the process of champagne production. Pommery caves were arty and fun. Lunch was truly an experience, above and beyond our expectations. Champagne region is only about 2 hrs from Paris by car. Our guide Trong was very helpful and informative. We loved every minute! Reims Cathedrale was the pièce de résistance. Thank you for a fantastic tour.

This was the best experience, from start to finish! Michelle was incredibly accommodating and helpful with the booking. And Trong was a great tour guide, especially for coming in on his day off, picking us up directly from our vrbo, to take us out for a most beautiful day in Champagne, which is surprisingly not too far from Paris, only about 2 hours by car. It was breathtaking in so many ways. The first place we went, Mouzon, was wonderful. They were so welcoming and the champagne was fabulous! Trong was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was especially nice to be shown around by a local. We had lunch at a delicious little place, in town, where we got to meet the chef. And then we went to the Pommery Champagne House, which was nothing like I would have expected. It was a very unique experience. The entire day was so amazing and the perfect way to celebrate my best friends 50th birthday! I HIGHLY recommend taking this tour! And you will be very lucky to have Trong as your guide! He was fantastic.

Champagne is only 2 hours from Paris by car and 45 minutes by high-speed train! What a great way to spend a day while visiting Paris. Our tour guide, Trong, was very knowledgeable and has lived in the area for 45 years. We had a great experience learning how champagne is made! We visited the vineyards and walked amongst the vines, a local champagne maker to tour the whole facility, and of course tasted their delicious champagne. The next stop was for a delicious 3 course meal at a local restaurant, then on to the Reims Cathedral. The cathedral is in the Notre Dame Cathedral style and has lots of breathtaking stained glass windows. Next stop of Champagne Pommery, a very interesting group of wine cellars with lots of aging wine, and unique whimsical and interesting modern art from all over the world. A truly unique experience. You must visit Champagne county and ask for Trong as your guide!

I was pleasantly surprised that our ride to Champagne was less than a 2 hour drive. The drive is definitely worth the experience, especially with a guide like Trong. Trong was full of information, and he made the whole tour seem catered just for us. It was also my birthday trip, and he was so kind to more than just acknowledge it. I am truly grateful for him going out of his way and making my birthday even more special. If you're considering a trip to Champagne from Paris, do it!

Trong's thorough explanation of the vineyards

Champagne is within easy reach (2 hrs by car or just 45 min by train) of our Seine River cruise which began in Paris. It was a pleasure to communicate directly with Michelle about the details of this all day tour and picking up our party of 6. Our excellent guide Trong gave us an informative commentary on the ride to the Champagne region while we enjoyed the breakfast snacks he provided. We walked through vineyards, visited an independent champagne producer Jean Claude Mouton who makes VERY tasty champagne, and then had a delicious lunch at Au Petit Comptoir in Reims. Trong's itinerary was packed- a guided tour of Reims, its beautiful cathedral, the Pommery champagne house, several tastings and an awesome hour visit to the chalk tunnels/cellars below the city which date back to 1st century Romans and millions of bottles of champagne are now stored. We strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting this region!

We had a great experience and learned so much about the town and the rich history. Trong is a walking encyclopedia and was so kind.

We stopped at a larger producer to have whites, went on to have a fabulous lunch with fresh cheeses and salad, tried wines from the barrel at different stages and then headed to some caves at a smaller producer that had a lovely combination of reds and whites. Our tour was so perfect we engaged him for a second tour, of Reims and Champagne region. Luiz took us to the historical Notre Dame of Reims where we got a little history lesson and then off to a larger facility that produces champagne (Mumm) where we got a very in depth tour and background of how traditional champagne is made. The highlight was a stop for a toast in some vineyards with a special bottle he selected of one of his favorites. At our last stop, Robert Allait we were able to try a variety of champagnes. Both tours were a highlight of our whole trip because of Luiz. He is passionate about what he does, thoughtful and a wonderful educator. My friends and I are trying to figure out how to take him on a trip to Italy .

Luiz went above and beyond for us. He made sure my friend & I had a great trip. During the drive we talked in great length about all the difference wine regions. We visited a large Champagne house and a smaller house. I had very specific requirement and he meet every single one of them.

Review: Pompeii, Amalfi Coast & Positano Day Trip from Rome - City Wonders…read more Unfortunately, this tour was a major disappointment and did not meet expectations for comfort, communication, or transparency. Guide & Audio Issues The main guide's microphone and speaker setup was extremely poor. The mic was held far too close to her mouth, causing distortion and making her very hard to understand. Multiple guests repeatedly asked her to move it away just so we could hear clearly. This issue persisted and significantly impacted the experience. Bus Conditions The bus was uncomfortably tight, with seats so close together there was virtually no personal space--you were forced to be in constant contact with the person next to you. It genuinely felt like being herded. Additional issues: * Very poor air circulation * No bathroom on board * No Wi-Fi * Interior lights left on during travel, making it difficult to enjoy or even see the scenery outside Tour Management & Professionalism Within the first 30 minutes of the tour, we were already being pushed about tipping, which felt premature and inappropriate given the circumstances. On the return trip, the guide slept for much of the ride, which felt unprofessional. Positano Stop - Lack of Transparency This was one of the biggest frustrations. Approximately 95% of stores and restaurants in Positano were closed, and the guide was aware of this in advance but did not share that information before departure. Had we known, many of us would have reconsidered whether this tour was worth the long travel time. What Worked The on-site guide in Pompeii,, was absolutely excellent--knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. He was the highlight of the entire day and deserves real praise. The bus guide was essentially limited to counting people and making sure we got on and off the bus, with very little added value otherwise. Overall This tour has great potential, but poor execution, uncomfortable transportation, audio issues, and lack of upfront honesty about conditions in Positano seriously detracted from the experience. Based on this trip, I would not recommend it unless significant improvements are made.

They gave us an option to cancel or change to a private tour. We chose the private tour, then David our guide and Roman, our driver were assigned. Pick up was promptly at 730am as promised, we headed out in a Mercedes wagon. The drive was about 2.5 hrs to Normandy (bathroom break scheduled 1/2 way) and we made small talk until about an hour out when David began his history lesson. He was well versed and kept our interest all day. We toured museums, watched videos, read journals, discussed artillery, uniforms, equipment, photo exhibits, toured bunkers, monuments, beaches and the second largest military cemetary all while reflecting on the magnitude of this event in history. Worked in a nice lunch in a small town. David and Roman's impeccable timing allowed us to basically walk into a museum and enter a show moments later. We were also able to catch the lowering of the dual flags ceremony in the evening at Omaha cememtary. The day was well planned, informative and though long, was not overwhelming. Each stop allowed us to visualize all of the important pieces that put the D day campaign together. The ride back was about 3 hours and also included a break 1/2 way through. Very memorable Enjoy!
