I had my 6 week postpartum appointment here at this office with Dr. Desalvo. I was referred to him…read moreby One Health Ohio. When I was first called back I got my BP taken and not even 2 ft away from me was a scale on the floor and height measurement on the wall. But instead of actually using those his staff member just asked me do you know your current height and weight. OK whatever still not thinking this is going to determine the rest of my appointment. Then the staff member roomed me. I told her I was there for my 6 week PP visit and I exclusively pump so I was hoping to get a breast exam to make sure my nipples are in good shape no thrush and I'm not headed towards any clogged ducts. She responded with you would know if any of that was happening and removed the gown from the room and informed me I would only receive a PP Pap smear. Wow. Then Dr. Desalvo himself came into the room I expressed what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. A breast exam, PP pap smear, a check of my C-section to make sure it's healing and to let me know if everything is going back to normal. The only thing he was concerned about was the pap smear I had to remind him to check my incision and of course no breast exam was done ( a breast exam isn't only to check for cancer). At the end I had to ask him if everything was healing well and if I can resume all activities. He's response " Yeah do whatever you want." He made me feel like i wasn't worth his breath. I left his office very happy. FYI going to the gynecologist isn't a visit women look forward to. We have to go to make sure we're healthy the least a doctor can do is make the space welcoming and treat you nicely.

zero stars. Go somewhere else…read more dangerous workplace. There's a steep hierarchy between positions and asking questions and voicing concerns is discouraged by threat of retaliation and intimidation of job loss. As a result, it is an unsafe workplace where errors are not disclosed and safety is ignored. Ultimately, the patient suffers.

Worst doctor and I would NOT recommend! I'm currently in the process of switching OB's…read more Let's start with the wait time I always schedule my appointments for Mondays at 9:15am and when I tell you we don't get out of the appointment until almost 1-1:30pm I'm not kidding. I swear they schedule multiple people for the same time slot. Secondly the woman who is currently running Dr. Hill's practice is so unprofessional she literally told my boyfriend and I quote "you're not the one having the baby be quiet" it's literally his baby and he's the most gentle kind man I could've asked to have a baby with. Then I was having really bad nausea and vomiting to the point that I couldn't keep water down. I was so dehydrated that when I went to the ER for IV fluids they poked me for 3+ hours with no luck because my veins kept collapsing. I was then told my the same woman that disrespected my boyfriend that "it's normal to throw up like that and in my day and age all we got was crackers and ginger ale". I was completely flabbergasted at her response as I had already passed out and was so weak. Finally I was able to convince her to give me a medication to help because I wouldn't leave otherwise. Another event where I was having pelvic pain almost like a really bad period and I called during hours that they weren't open to see what I should do and I was told Dr. Hill would return my call. 3 1/2 hours later after my boyfriend took me to the ER to be checked out I finally got a call back which went like this... Me: "Hi yes I'm having very bad pelvic pain and wanted advice as to what to do." Dr. Hill: "Well we're not open until Monday" Me: "Ok so what would you recommend I do?" (I was already at the hospital I just wanted to see what he'd say) Dr. Hill: "Well we're not open until Monday" click and hung up the phone! I was floored he hung up on me it was so incredibly unprofessional. Now yesterday January 23rd I woke up bleeding and horrible pelvic pain to the point it hurt to pee. I called the office at 8am knowing I'd get the after hours nurse again, she answered and informed me that I'd receive a call back from Dr. Hill. An hour went by and still no call so I called the office expecting it to be open as they usually open at 9am. Nope apparently they were closed for the day. Also I was informed Dr. Hill was on vacation with nobody in place to return his calls. I don't even understand that shouldn't there always be a doctor available to take his calls in his place?! Guess not. I ended up in the ER from 9:30am till about 6pm at night due to bleeding which turned out to be multiple placenta hematomas. I'm only 17 weeks and was told bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy would be best for me from the ER. Dr. Hill does not care about the well being of his patients or their babies and I'm not the only one with crazy stories about him. Please please do not go to his office for any reason you and your babies health are more important and he will not take your concerns seriously.
