Randy's Electric and Plumbing did an outstanding job installing my Tesla charger in my new garage…read more The quality of the work was top notch, and everything was done cleanly and professionally. The team was easy to work with, showed up on time, and made sure everything was set up perfectly before wrapping up. If you need electrical work done right the first time, I highly recommend Randy's.

This is my second Yelp review for Randy's Electric because my first one mysteriously vanished. I…read moredon't know how or why, but based on everything I've experienced, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to bury negative feedback. Their Google reviews are almost perfect -- yet everyone I've talked to says the exact same thing: their real-life service does NOT match their ratings. Maybe some reviews are real, but certainly not all. Now for my experience, which was absolutely infuriating: Jeremy came to my home and quoted me $2,700 just to convert two lights into ceiling fans and replace one GFCI outlet. The prices they charged were beyond ridiculous: $300 for ONE GFCI $150 for a simple light switch $500 EACH for two fan brackets ($1,000 total) -- brackets that cost $23 retail That's not a markup. That is taking advantage of people. Their behavior was just as bad as their pricing. They show all prices on an iPad. When I was on the phone asking someone if this sounded normal, Jeremy literally snatched the iPad out of my hand the second I finished talking. He guarded that iPad like his life depended on it because he knew the pricing was outrageous. Completely disrespectful and incredibly unprofessional. I asked for an itemized invoice with real part numbers and real labor charges. Jeremy told me, "I'll email it to you." I still have nothing. The only invoice I received was written in vague "units" -- a convenient way to avoid transparency and hide price gouging. And the worst of all: They quoted me $19,000 -- yes, NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS -- to upgrade my electrical panel from a split 60/120 amp setup to a standard 200 amp box. Other electricians quoted between $2,500-$4,500. Randy's Electric wasn't just high -- they were five to seven times the normal price. That is predatory and absolutely shameful. The owner even came out trying to justify the $500 brackets by saying they "add a yellow tag to every bracket." Later I learned that the yellow tag is just the manufacturer's tag that comes with the bracket. Nothing more. Another excuse. Another lie. Since this happened, I've talked to so many people -- and not a single person has had a positive experience with this company. Everyone says the same thing: overpriced, shady, rude, and preying on people who don't know electrical costs. Jeremy and the owner should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat people and for the way they conduct business. It is absolutely disgusting behavior. Randy's Electric preys on the unknowledgeable, the vulnerable, and the people who genuinely need help. Their lack of transparency, their predatory pricing, and their disrespect toward customers say everything you need to know. If this review stops even ONE person from being taken advantage of the way I was, then it's worth writing twice -- because Yelp deleted the first one. I will NEVER use Randy's Electric again, and I strongly warn anyone considering them: Run the other way. Do not let them take advantage of you the way they did to me.

TOTAL SCAM!!! Around 2022, during the height of COVID, I…read moreneeded immediate electrical work done. I called Randy's Electric and spoke directly with Randy. He was amazing--kind, patient, reasonably priced, and available the very same day. As someone new to the area, I was thrilled to have finally found "my electrician." Fast forward to September 2026. I called them back out for an estimate on some new work. While the technician was at my house, he asked if I was getting other quotes, and I openly told him I was getting three. Because their estimate matched another company and I valued our past relationship, I chose Randy's. During their final visit, I asked for a quick quote to add an outlet onto a regular wall by pulling power straight up from an existing, parallel outlet below it. It is a very straightforward, 20-minute job. I have paid $150 for this exact service in the past, and a quick Google search confirmed the standard rate is around $250 to $300. Imagine my absolute shock when the technician quoted $724.85!! When he saw my stunned reaction, he said, "Let me see what I can do," tapped around on his screen, and lowered it to $608. He also quoted me roughly $500 just to hang two vanity lights that were already fully wired and just needed to be connected--another basic 20-minute task. My husband came home about 15 minutes later and was incensed. He asked the technician how he could possibly justify those numbers and firmly told him he was trying to take advantage of me. Once again, the technician said, "Let me see what I can do," pushed a few buttons on the iPad, and suddenly dropped the outlet price to $300ish--less than half of the original quote!! My husband pointed out the obvious: he was just arbitrarily making up numbers on the spot to see what he could get away with. The technician tried to lower the price even further, but at that point, we were both so disgusted by the dishonest behavior that we told him to finish the originally contracted work and leave. It is incredibly sad to see what used to be a trusted, honest local business turn into a company that actively tries to scam anyone with ridiculously inflated prices.
