Visited park Hall Oswestry for the first time today. We arrived at 10.30am and left at 4pm. What a great time we all had, I can honestly say the children and ourselves were kept entertained all day. We had a seven and two five year olds in our party and there was so much for them to see and do. We started off with a game of table tennis, went to one of the play barns and the children went on the bouncy castle and ride on tractors whilst we sat with a cup of copy and watched them. We then went and groomed the pony, held and stroked the guinea pigs ans rabbits. On to the science area where we tried out all the scientific interactive exhibits, this was a hit with the children. Time for a tractor ride we git off at the Maize maze where we wandered around got lost and then found our way out again, like intrepid explorers. On to the woodland play are where the children spotted the carved tree played on all the equipment and eventually agreed to pause for a picnic lunch. There are cafes at the Farm and the food is very reasonably priced we have decided when we visit again to eat there instead of organizing and carrying a picnic. After lunch of to the iron age roundhouse on to the next play area where the children had great fun on the spacehoppers. Time to get a badge for the pig racing and cheer our pigs to victory our children chose to support Pinky and Perky lots of yelling and jumping up and down until the winning pig crossed the line. On to the barrel tractor ride. When that finished it was a quick dash to the milking parlour, where the children got to milk a real cow. One of the children wanted to know if it was real milk, coming out of the cow. Soft indoor play area next, sliding climbing and having loads of fun. They had their photos taken in soft play bus too. Into the wooden fort play area next and down the curly slide. All played out we went to visit the large plough horses and stroke them and the ponies. Down the field to see the geese and donkeys and the gorgeoues little micro piglets that came right up to the fence for you to stroke them. One of them lay on his back for us to scratch his tummy. The children played in the wooden play houses too. For £2.50 they drove themselves in little landrovers off road they thought this was fantastic and they drove along the track. Quick breather ice lollies and then onto the Welsh Guards musuem where they had photos taken in the sentry box, pretending to fire a machine gun and standing outside the cell. Back to the play barn for a final play. There are also giant games to play and upstairs information arear to visit. They bought themselves a gift to remember the visit, gifts from 50p so not bad. We had a wonderful day and will definitely visit again we would recommend a visit to everyone resonable entry fee considering everything there is to offer. We forgot to mention the victorian school which was also worth looking at. The children didn't want to leave which shows how much they enjoyed themselves. Susan Griffiths Flint, North Wales.
