This museum/activity centre allows you to switch on your imagination in the interactive Design & Technology Centre and discover how good ideas are turned into great products. Children can find out how a little ingenuity will let you pull a 10 ton locomotive or generate electricity from flowing water. Displays will allow you to look at familiar objects with new eyes using the giant X ray machine. You can build an earthquake proof tower and challenge the robotic arm. There are also stands to test your brain power and powers of thought and reasoning whilst trying to complete a series of puzzles and teasers. This is the ideal museum to take children to as there is so much for them to do here. They will want to wander around the place and look at the exhibitions. Beats the usual moans and groans when you tell them they are going to a museum!! The museum is not huge, but will certainly take up to 2 hours of your day to walk around it and try out all the gadgets, puzzles and games. Car park is £1.50 all day to allow you to visit as many museums in the area as you want to and to take in the scenic walk along the old industrial valley. The museum costs £7.85/adult and £6.85/child, however you can buy a 12 month passport for £22.50/adult & £14.75/child which allows you to visit all 10 museums in the local area as many times as you like in a 12 month period. If you are in the area for any period of time, or intend coming back to see other attractions, then this is definitely the most cost effective way of visiting everywhere.

The waiting staff, bar staff and MC were all smart, kind and attentive, one waitress in particular spoke faster than the cast of gilmore girls and had compliments for everyone. The food was excellent, and drinks were kept well topped up- I didn't stay at the castle, opting for an adorable cottage nearby, but those that did stay were very happy.

Rowton Castle on the inside is full of such character and elegance, with many rooms to serve any purpose. Our friends' wedding had almost full access to the ground floor, so we got to see many of the rooms (and the numerous paintings of animals in human-like settings). This is definitely a good choice for a weekend away or a big celebration.

In fact it has been chosen as the venue for the upcoming county competition in January. Sunday nights especially are great to attend, 4 games for £10 makes it excellent value. The other attraction is laserquest; built over two levels this remains my favourite places to run around and pretend to shoot people! On a Tuesday you can play for just £3 a game.

They have a bunch of Namco games such as a pacman air hockey game, motorbike and car racing, basketball and a silly chicken game where you catch eggs. A good selection. We also got some appetizers and icecream sundaes that were yummy. Played a game of bowling. I thought it was neat that we didn't have to change our shoes. The staff was friendly, especially Simon who helped us with almost everything we wanted to do there. We had a really fun few hrs.

Hoo Farm is a large child friendly farm based near Telford in Shropshire…read more My boyfriend and I visited Hoo Farm when we saw on a flyer that they were holding 'Animal Olympics' intrigued we headed on down. It's soon pretty apparent that this is mainly a child and family-focussed attraction, there are loads of games and activities for children to take part in throughout the farm site. Despite this, we had a wonderful time. We got to pet and feed lots of animals including cows, sheep, chicken, deer, goats, pigs and rabbits. Also at the farm are Alpacas, Wallaby, Meerkats, donkeys, shire horses, ponies, parrots, limas, owls, foxes, ferrets and many more. The actual olympic events were lots of fun and none of the animals were harmed or seemed in any distress. The main events were sheep hurdles and cross country goat racing which were pretty funny although the dog ability event was even funnier as both dogs did completely the opposite to what they were told! The only thing we didn't like is we hate to see large birds in small cages and would have preferred if the parrots had larger enclosures like the Owls. There's a nice little gift shop and an onsite cafe plus woodland walk and picnic area. I would highly recommend this for a family day out but adults don't be put off - we loved it!

This review is kinda a two parter... Today I will introduce you to Hoo Farm and tomorrow you get to…read morehear about Wild Will's Animal Encounters (which was the reason we were at Hoo Farm on Sunday).... This park is only about 45 minutes away from Birmingham and is based in Telford. Our experience voucher entitled us to free entry into Hoo Farm, but in all honesty - for less than £8 for adult or child entry (under 2's go free), it's not an expensive day out anyway. We purchased 2 bags of animal feed (at a modest 75p each) as you can get up close and personal with several species of both farm and more exotic offerings. The park isn't huge, but we managed to be entertained for 3 hours without any problems at all. There is a good schedule of feedings and chances to meet different species, so keep an eye out on your watches. We fed sheep, pigs, deer (although not up close as they were rather shy on Sunday) and got to hang out with different birds, Wallabies, and even stroke little pygmy hedgehogs. They have a lambing shed (with lambs being born everyday), so I got to stroke a 6 day old lamb and give it's mother a little snack too! On the exotic side, there are meerkats, snakes, spiders, reptiles, foxes, lemurs and even some other big cats I hadn't seen before! Other than the animals, there are lots of activities to entertain the kids. Some of the park could do with a lick of paint (and the Hooville High Street was genuinely terrifying), but overall most children would get a kick out of being up close with the animals (even if they aren't interested in the other stuff going on). You are invited to feed baby lambs and goats, but many of the people that were there on Sunday were obviously (like us) on experiences and were stroking birds of prey, holding snakes and feeding Coaties. We took a picnic lunch (so didn't use the cafe), but there is a cafe and gift shop on site which you can take advantage off. We had a lovely time at Hoo Farm. As Mazzy has said, it definitely has more of a child/family focus - but if you're young at heart; you will have a great time regardless!

Easy to get to, pleasant to be in and nice to look at. Prices are average (and reasonable) but I did find it hard to book a court for badminton - needs about a week if not more to get a slot. Parking is suitable although there's sometimes youths hanging around which could put some people off. The pool is good, with a deep deep end (lol) at 3 metres if I remember correctly. I'd recommend trying it out.

Codsall's local leisure centre offers a swimming pool, gym, dance studio and sports hall…read more Unfortunately, given that the swimming pool and dance studio are used by the local school, it has reached the level that no activities are offered in the dance studio for the local community, which is a great shame. The swimming pool is now rarely available in the daytime at all, and this has really affected the ability for the local community to enjoy the facilities. The gym is the main plus point for the centre, working either on a pay monthly or pay as you go basis. It is fairly small, but offers everything you would want from a gym.
