Absolutely brilliant car park! Me and my band Proxist came down to Dublin from Derry to play a few shows and we parked up over night at this place.
It was very convenient for us, right in the centre of town and very near our venues so we didn't have far to walk with our equipment. It is very tall too so at night time we were able to sleep in our cars without being woken by traffic or noisy pedestrians below. Also as we were on one of the higher floors we could chat away all night and listen to music without annoying any other customers. It was also handy being on the upper levels as there were barely any cars around so I was able to run around the track and exercise, doing pushups and sit-ups.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I took a little stroll around the car park the next morning after I had woken up, and to my astonishment I found a little water tap sticking out of the wall! I thought 'happy days!' as I was afraid I would have to wash my hair and teeth in the toilets of the bar we were to be playing that night. So naturally I took full advantage of this conveniently placed water and brushed my teeth and took a shower with it.
The staff were also very nice in helping us deal with paying as were not used to using euros, and also in giving us directions to the venues. Absolute gentlemen.
At 13 euro for 24 hour parking, with a drinkable water tap, and practically an unofficial gym in its own right, Fleet Street car park in Dublin is definitely the place to be. You definitely get your moneys worth. No other car park in the country could have provided us with such great memories and service. On top of all that, we even found a power outlet, so Steve could charge his phone! Brilliant!
The only downside I can think of is that the car park doesn't have a toilet, so I would typically rate it 4 stars because of an issue like this. But being that we had such a good time, and that there was a bar right next door with a toilet in it, I'm just going to leave it at 5 stars. Thank you Fleet Street! read more
