Short version: Don't come here unless you want to pay 35-50% of your battery cost when replacing it under full warranty. Following the recommendation of a family member, I came here to get my CR-V's battery replaced in early 2021. The battery failed a year and a half later, and I came back in to get it replaced as it was still under warranty. The employee I talked to was willing to replace it, but said he would charge me $75 in labor (over 1/3 of the full cost of the 3-year-warranty-battery itself). The employee then offered to "cut me a break" on the labor cost since it was a situation where the battery they had sold me had failed and was still covered by warranty. Turns out the "cutting me a break" ended up consisting of taking just 10 bucks off the bill after the service was rendered, ultimately forcing me to pay 1/3 of the battery's cost to replace it despite it being under warranty. Had I brought in a car where the battery replacement was more complicated and time-consuming, the situation would have felt much less underhanded. However, since it takes about 5-10 minutes (max) to replace a CRV battery, and given that this was a situation where the battery they had initially sold me had failed while under warranty, the whole exchange felt like a ripoff. I tried to talk about this to the employee, but he tersely told me that the battery failing was "not his fault." I cannot speak to this establishment's integrity with regard to performing and charging for other auto services, but I would strongly advise anyone who simply needs a battery change to go to one of the many other places in the Twin Cities where installation is free with purchase/replaced for free when the product fails while under full warranty. read more

Cons: It is located at a convenient location. The store hours goes late. The service is handled in a manner. Pros: PRICE!!! It definitely not a place for cost-conscious customers! They charged me $15 labor for a 5 min work of unscrewing my plate. Almost $50 for checking the electric system, but nothings was check out. My car has a new battery but needed to be jump started twice in 3 three weeks. The AAA guy asked me to charge battery after jump start. This place is the only place open at that time. I asked for battery charging. One guy here suggested me to do electric system check. I asked how much in total it would cost. He told me 40ish. When I picked my car up, the bill ran up to $62. AND they told me they didn't find any problem with the electric system. Should I be happy about this? I will not recommend this place to my friends and I will not do any kind of service here. read more

The space age pumps are the fastest around. The car wash has been showing some age but is still a decent efficient car wash. They have no appointment oil changes. They do most any repairs and are quick to fix a leaky tire. They will promptly call back if a problem or when the car is complete. Like all garages they use a computer and go by the codes to diagnose a problem. The trouble is that is not always an accurate diagnoses and may not tell the whole story especially on on older model vehicle. I had such a problem once and they could not seem to fix it so I took my car to a Dealer and problem diagnosed in ten minutes and repaired in a half hour. Just a word of caution to stay in communication as the staff is very friendly and helpful and they'll go all out for you but some problems are beyond their expertise but they don't like to let show. read more

My mom had gone here for years as it was close and they are honest with great customer service. I figured they would be expensive, but on 3 different times when I need repair work on my or my wife's vehicle I priced them out along with 3 other places. Each time they were the best price. Not that they are cheap, but against comparable quality places they tended to be very competitive. They have quick turn around, stand by their work, are very friendly and customer oriented from the attendant to the mechanics to the owner. One time my front end started making a grinding sound. I took it in at about 3:30 with no appointment. I was going out of town the next morning. Although they had cars in the bays being worked on they said they could diagnose the problem and let me know, but did not think they could get it fixed depending on the problem. WIthin a half hour they called me with the diagnosis, estimate to fix as well as to let me know my front brake pads were worn (not the grinding sound) (i knew replacement was coming from mileage and another garage in the past). But they told me the brakes could wait as they were not to the point of needing replacement yet (but soon). They also said they could do the work yet today if I could wait until about 5:30 or 6:00 to pick it up. No appointment oil changes, tire service, full repair shop, gas, carwash. I highly recommend Park Services! They are a good neighbor. read more

Basically, don't use these guys. "Sketchy" might be the word I would use to describe that place. You could regulate them to tire changes, oil changes and maybe brake jobs and get away with it OK but anything more complex and there's a very good chance that they won't be able to complete the task, they'll make sure that they charge you fully anyway, you'll be walking away with the feeling like they really don't give a shit, and left with the task of figuring out how to finally fix your car still. It's happened to me a few times with them. Never again. They do have 24-hour gas pumps though and if you don't mind paying a little extra than the average price on the street, they always seem to have gas, so maybe that's a plus. read more

Passive aggressive a-holes. This whole area is full of people with a snotty attitude offering overpriced services and nicknacks you are better off without. I have had feedback from dealerships and other service stations about the work done here on my car. My windshield wipers were replaced at this grifter place with off market arms and blades and the mechanic there said it was an asshole move of these guys to sell it to me. They do oil changes and don't rotate the tires... that doesn't spell old style service to me. It seems they think people walking in to their shop are sheep to be fleeced. They should greet you with a shears and skip the dis ingenuous smiles. read more

I needed to find a new auto mechanic after mine retired from business after servicing my cars for over 30 years. I looked around and decided to go with Park Service Mobile. Now after almost 2 years servicing my cars and even solving my boat trailer electrical, I remain total impressed with all the service they have provided. Their technicians are great. Customer service fantastic. They are honest and fair, doing only necessary work at a fair price. Five Stars in my book. read more

I am surprised to be the first to Yelp on Park Service. A TRUE neighborhood focused gas and quality auto service operation! I buy my fuel there and have taken my aging Subaru there for service for about 3 years... They are totally honest, friendly and pragmatic on your behalf for required service, which they do at a very fair rate. Recently I had a serpentine belt seize in 0 degree weather. Limped in on a Friday at 2pm, told it might be Monday before they could look. Got a call an hour later with an estimate and promise to have it done by about 6pm that day. Awesome! They also have a reputation for being good neighbors, assisting with snow clearance and etc.. in bad weather in the immediate area. Responsible small town attitude in a urban pocket neighborhood. Went for a tire rotation ($36) and oil change ($38). I had some sticker shock after paying double what I could've for the oil change. They were quick at about 45 minutes turnaround on a Tuesday morning with a couple other cars in their garage. I might return but would call to price check first. read more

If you're the kind of person that has to have the cheapest price, this probably isn't the place for you. If you want great service from a staff you can trust, this is it. Park Service is a really great community service station. The service is top notch. We had a crunched front end after a accident nearby. The car limped to the station, and one of the techs on duty cleared out the crunched up metal and debris from the front end so we could get the car home. No charge. He also recommended a good body place that worked out great too. I need a place I can depend on for car service and it's a relief to have one. They're not always the cheapest in town, but the peace of mind is worth a lot. read more

So they're friendly and in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I cannot help think they are overcharging for parts and service. We recently brought our vehicle in for a rather basic but perhaps less common repair - our windshield wiper motor had slowed and intermittently failed to function. This is something I could likely have figured out by Google, without any hands-on diagnostics. With the cold weather and little time, we opted to take the vehicle in. They declined to provide any sort of an initial estimate, claiming they would have to look at the vehicle first. When they called back, we were a bit shocked when they said he work would cost $330 at a minimum. They said this was about 1/2 for the part and 1/2 labor. When I called another shop nearby, they actually laughed on the phone and told us the part cost around $40 and could not figure out why he repair would be more than half of what Park Service quoted. Park Service didn't budge as they felt the part would be much more, so we had to get or car and pay them for diagnostics. The total cost at the other shop was more than $200 less. I'm afraid this whole experience has soured our opinion of Park Service and, even after chatting with them about the discrepancy, we don't know how the variation in cost could possibly be this extreme. read more

Extremely over-priced and terrible customer service. Park Service put a bad distributor in my SUV. They found the cheapest after-market product out there and charged me $950 to install it. Not only that, but my vehicle stopped working two days after I got it back. They refused to bring it back in their shop, forcing me to pay for towing cost. I lost trust and took it to another mechanic who quoted me $530 to install the actual Nissan distributor. The verdict was a bad part, which was confirmed on several online forums. There is a mass of documentation about after-market distributers not working in my vehicle model. I called Park Service and inquired about what I could get for the bad part. The guy I talked to was belligerent. He was angry that I took the vehicle somewhere else and he told me I'd have to pay to have it towed to their shop for them to look at for themselves, which would add to my cost, and then once in their hands would mean another baseline fee to just pop the hood. I would have paid for the tow if I felt they were even willing to give me a refund. He said if their part was the problem they would exchange it for no charge, but that it was highly unlikely. And, of course, it would be another bunk Carquest part anyway. At this point, I lost complete trust with them. I had the other mechanic do the work and lost close to $1000 to Park Service on a cheap Carquest distributer that doesn't even work. My advice would be for this establishment to hang up working on automobiles and instead become a non-profit shelter for abandoned kittens. That way I could write the money off on my taxes. read more

Was turned away 20 minutes before advertised closing time for a tire puncture repair. The wheel was already removed from the vehicle and at that point the repair is no more than 5 minutes, tops. will not be returning the next day for the repair. read more

I've been going to Park Service for about 20 years. First started going to them when I needed an emergency repair on one of my first cars. They have always been respectful, reasonable, fair and upfront with me on what my cars have needed done and don't try to sell me services etc that I don't need. Nick the former owner was good and so is Ned the current owner. I do highly recommend them - I wouldn't have been going to them for the last 20 years if they weren't good. read more
