I used this place when Dr. Byrne was there. But he's gone and the place is a dump. Here's an example: I was having my history taken with the Medical Assistant and an office assistant and some kind of construction or supplier company guys knocked and came in (didn't wait for a response) and spent 3 mins talking in the middle of the exam room about what the room needed and what type of lid they wanted on their biohazard bin. The whole place has a grimy feel. Chairs in the waiting room are old, walls are kind of dirty, the "art" hanging on the wall looks like it came from a (crappy) thrift store and there are bins and boxes laying all over the floor and lining the walls. While the reception staff seem friendly, they are totally unhelpful. I ask for my medical records to be sent somewhere and they act like I've asked them to make me pancakes. The doctor who replaced Byrne is named Izmaylov and he has a habit of not listening to all your comments or questions and insisting he knows what the problem is - even before you have explained the whole issue. Last time I was there (the same time with the sudden visitors in the exam room) he didn't order 1/2 of the xrays needed and I didn't find out until I was all the way in the xray room. (Me: "What do you mean you don't need the thumb? That's where I told him that most of my pain is." Tech: Sorry, he says it's just these 2 fingers.") That's just one example. He's done it with medications before, giving me things that interact with other stuff I told him I was on and he didn't catch because he was too busy telling me what he thought my problem was. Luckily my pharmacist caught it in time. It's right around the corner from my house. I'll happily go somewhere else to avoid the headache from now on. read more

Dr. Anthony is a fine and trustworthy doctor. She is overworked but, the times I saw her, she did not appear to take it out on her patients. The staff do indeed fuck things up and get the insurance wrong. Wait time is long, but I suppose it's about average. The 3-star rating I gave this place is simply due to Dr. Anthony, who doesn't suck. Let's face it: medical care in this country is so third-world that a clinic deserves some gold stars just for not getting *everything* wrong. read more

I thought I found my new primary doctor, but was disappointed to find out I was being charged. I was seeing Dr. Monica Grover and saw her for 2 visits. She was very knowledgable and sweet, but till after my second visit and on my own I found out she was out of my network. None of the girls in the front ever mentioned to me that she was. Really disappointed and annoyed. I would recommend Dr. Grover, but know after noon you will have a longer wait and make sure she is in your network. read more

Park Slope Medical Center is the biggest clusterfuck around. Nobody EVER answers the phone, their voicemail "isn't set up," and their email inbox is full. How on earth am I supposed to cancel an appt beyond just marching my butt right in their door? Also, the place is a dump. Dr. Fletcher is a great doc--very attentive, smart, and figured out that I have a very hard-to-detect condition. However, I am no longer seeing him because his office staff is abhorrent. When calling to make an appointment, I was cursed at on the phone. When waiting for one appointment (for 1.5 hours), I listened to the two women at the desk argue and curse one another out. Also, upwards to 2.5 hours of waiting (twice), messed up referrals, being hung up on when trying get help, over all very bad news. This incompetent and unprofessional staff is obviously giving these doctors a bad name--and losing them patients. With so many people out of work, I cannot imagine why they don't get a more effective staff. It shows poor judgment on the part of the doctors and administrators to keep these people employed there, and I don't trust a doctor who doesn't employ competent and decent folks. Also, the bathroom never has any toilet paper or soap, which is disgusting. read more

I'm a little surprised by the poor reviews that have been posted. I had a great experience at this office. Dr. Fletcher and the nurse (Mona) who did my blood work were both very attentive and eager to make sure I was satisfied with my visit. The doctor even called me himself with my test results he next day and explained them in plain english...very rare if you ask me. The only downside is the wait before an appointment, but that was still very reasonable considering there will always be some wait before a doctors appointment. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The place is loud the staff were flirting with patients, playing loud music. Worst of all the wait time!!!! An appointment at 11:30 and at almost 1:30 the only thing they'd called for was my vitals. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! My husband was seen here by a doctor who I will not name. I waited for him in the waiting room while he was seen. I won't even get into the terrible experience that he had seeing the doctor, and just focus on what I experienced in the waiting room. The receptionists treated the patients with utter annoyance. The consent forms that patients are required to sign have cryptic language that even the receptionists were not sure what it meant, and were annoyed when patients asked questions about it. And, confidentiality was broken over and over again when one of the receptionists repeatedly answered the phone on speaker, allowing the whole waiting room to hear patients full names and medical problems that they were experiencing. I recently became a patient of Dr. Fletcher who I must sa is WONDERFUL his front desk staff are GREAT....they answered all my questions and wre very informative and polite. When I entered I wen directly to he fist desk I saw ad was directed back toward the front of the office (CONFUSNG). I must admit there was a wait but it was well worth it. My only complaints would be that maybe the rceptionist desk can labeled so patients wouldnt be confused and that the other reception area be more courteous when having improper conversations among themselves (do they not realize we can hear them and speaking about sexual positions and or acts is not appropriiate) but again Dr. Fletcher and his staff were GREAT. I definitely found my primary care doctor. read more

This outfit took over the physical and OT service I was going to in Manhattan and when that happened billing became a nightmare. They didn't credit me with the payments I made and then referred my account to collection without a warning. They are scam artists - do not deal with them. read more

If you want to know about this place, search for Dr. Martha Anthony and you will get two reviews from me. VERY BAD NEWS. Dr. Anthony herself is not so bad, although exhausted and rushed. But the staff is a nightmare and I wouldn't trust them to handle your insurance. I was overcharged by them and had just found this out from a Medicare agent. When I called about it, I was deliberately hung up on by a man named something like Bob Colleti, who was supposed to take care of my problem! When I was trying to explain what had happened he cut into my words and said in the nastiest way, "So far you've done all the talking" !!! When I said to him that his attitude was part of the problem (see my other reviews for other examples), he was outraged. "Attitude!" he yelled at me, then said "Goodbye, LADY!" and HUNG UP ON ME. He was the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever experienced at an office and he should be fired immediately. read more

My parents have been patient of Dr. Anthony's for several years. They have always maintained a GREAT relationship with Dr. Anthony and her staff. My parents were upset that Dr. Anthony has moved to a different location BUT was even more so when we requested their medical records be transferred to Dr. Anthony's new location back in August 2011. When I called to check on the status of this request (more than a month later)I requested to speak to Jasmine because my parents have stated that she was always very welcoming and helpful to them that maybe she would be able to clarify the holdup, I was highly upset when I was told that jasmine no longer works here. I was transferred to Angel who was now dealing with these request. As I need say, this WAS NEVER DONE...my mother ended up in the hospital because of a condition and Dr. Anthony was unable to help because the records were never sent. EXTREMELY frustrated with all the nonsense I tried one last time to call and was hung up on by Mr. Angel and then a receptionist picked up the line and was very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL to me without allowing me to state my reasons for my frustration. I proceeded to go directly to the office to retrieve these records myself. THAT'S WHEN THE FUN BEGAN: YES I must say the records were awaiting me at the front desk I explained to the receptionist my frustrations and then came in a short rude man who said I am the owner of this place whats the problem...I proceeded to explain to him the situation when he abruptly cut me off and said OK LADY (are you serious) u have your records now you can go...I tried to explain to him how I was treated and he did not want to hear anything about it...GREAT OWNER/MANAGER especially that he never asked me to step to the side or speak to me privately being so obnoxious and rude in front of his staff GREAT MODEL...NO WONDER THEY HAVE LOST SO MANY GREAT EMPLOYEES: DR. ANTHONY, JASMINE, CRYSTAL, ISABEL and even the thin annoying Jewish guy are GREATLY MISSED...everyone is entitled to having their bad days BUT that man Mr. Coletto needs to be sent back to etiquette school. read more

I was seen by Dr. Fletcher once before a year ago and swore NOT to return due to the very UNPROFESSIONAL man who told me he owns thiis place...and the VERY obnoxious medical assistant MONA...recently I was very ill and chose to call again I was able to get an appointment asap which was good...I was extremely HAPPY when I noticed that the man I had a bad encounter with was NO LONGER here...YIPPIE....when I was called in to take my vitals I was aslo estatic that MONA was no longer there either...DOUBLE YIPPIE..It was a EXTREME PLEASURE going back and dealing with two very professional and caring woman...when I was speaking to another patient regarding prior experience there and a woman came interrupted our conversation stating she is the NEW office manager...UNFORTUNATELY she wasnt any better than the man who she replaced...she was speaking very LOUD yelling through the hallway for another employee...she was speaking badly about other doctors in the facility which was NOT very professional I mean do you really think I would want to be treated by them...she was speaking on her cell phone I even overheard her say 'SHE IS WHITE" to whomever she was on the phone with at that time...MY POINT IS THAT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT MANAGEMENT IS MAKING ALL THE WRONG DECISIONS AS TO ADMINISTRATION IN THIS PLACE...Dr. Fletcher and the front desk workers including the NEW medical assistant are GREAT going over and beyond to help me with my issues...although the front desk was very busy I was treated nicely and courteous and ALL my questions were addressed by the two front desk woman it was SAD that the so-called manager sat right there while the phones rang and didnt bother to answer...now only if they can get a MANAGER who works because what I witnessed it doesnt seem she knowledgeable read more

The doctors at Park Slope is great but the staff could be better. There is a Hispanic worker at the front desk who says yes mommy and I got you mommy. That to me is very unprofessional. The staff yells across the facility. There are two front desk and it seems as if they have attitudes. I went to see a pain management doctor there and later I found out that the person who was operating the machine to view the area the doctor is giving the injection is the house keeper. I research the process of my epidural injection and what machine is used and found out that a license radiology technician should be operating that machine. This is dangerous and a patient might get hurt. I ask a few of the staff what their titles are and no one there is a radiology technician. Please if you are going to this facility for an epidural injection please rethink it. When you go to view Park Slope Medical One you see a picture of this guy pointing his finger which is the young man who was operating the radiation machine. There should be pictures of the the facility and medical staff. The doctors are great but I would be going some place else for my treatment read more
