Could see the performance from the ada accessible seats before the crowd got too thick but then couldn't see much.

We had a fun time at Park West. Staff was friendly. There's accessible seating, although it's impossible to see the stage over the crowd from floor level accessible seats so it would be nice if they changed that which is why they lose a star. I had to move and stand to catch a glimpse of the performance which wasn't ideal for me and I had to leave my partner in the seats. The acoustics and the vibes are great. We parked on the street!

I got tickets from Do312 to attend a comedy show for John Bishop, a British standup comedian. I had not been to this venue in years and I looked forward to checking it out. We went through security and headed in, only to find that the layout was tables, booths, and counters, 85% of which were marked 'Reserved'. This was disappointing but not surprising, esp for free tickets. We got seats at a counter and ordered drinks at the bar. It's not clear if waitstaff served the area where we sat, so we got our own drinks. The bartender was efficient and friendly. We were able to see and hear fine from where we were, and John Bishop is definitely worth checking out. (warning he is not PC so he's not for everyone, but we found him funny enough). The restrooms were ok too, clean, and with an ATTENDANT no less! If you don't have cash, she takes Venmo and probably other CashApps. Make sure you please take care of them if/when you see them.

We go to Park West every year for the Warren Miller screening which announces ski season, and it's always a pleasure! The staff here is very pleasant and friendly. Upon entering, our vaccination cards were checked as well as IDs. If over 21, you are given a wristband so you don't have to mess with pulling out your ID everytime you go to the bar. There are two bars within the event space, which I imagine makes ordering drinks here during a busy show pretty easy. The space is intimate, while still being able to hold a decent number of people. We sat in one of the cozy booths and had a server, making the whole process of order drinks even easier! Once seated, you don't have to wear a mask. They have a full bar with lots of options! I had a virtue cider, but took a sip of a margarita and it was tasty. While I've never seen a concert here, I would LOVE to! Parking in this area of Lincoln Park can be kind of difficult, so definitely give yourself plenty of time to find a spot if driving (but ubering is probably the better option).

I liked it. You can see mid range acts at a very nice venue. Equipped with nice seats with a good view and general admission standing only as well. Best if both worlds. The drinks were as pricey as you'd expect . Beer and a double gin and tonic was $42 bucks plus tip. Nice bar tender and not a crowded long line. Descent amount of parking on the street, but it was a Wednesday. Nice place and I hope to be back soon.

An awesome show venue that doesn't have a bad viewing spot in the house. Good acoustics and great sight lines no matter where in the venue you are. Capacity is about 1,000 people so you get the close and personal experience with the artist. We saw the Hu and were situated on the rail. The place was packed, but comfortably so. The band put on a phenomenal show with great energy. Bar prices are consistent with other music venues. We had to show proof of our Covid vaccination and wear a mask. Not a fan of the mask after having been vaccinated, but it's a small sacrifice in order for live music to resume. We found a parking spot in the neighborhood with relative ease. A great venue and we had an excellent experience. I'd definitely consider a return trip for the right artist.

My 2nd visit here yeah but it looks like is like a possibly had a minor renovation.. I was here for Tabitha Brown book tour nice and intimate. We were able to find seating to the right of the stage which wasn't so cramped with people. The air conditioner was definitely on on and I was glad that I had and a blazer on I didn't get anything from the bar but a lot of people did in the service was kinda slow and that in a bar staff seemed kind of inexperienced the one young lady kept coming to our section and messing up people's orders But for a small Intimate setting this place is perfect

Ask the Community - Park West

How do you reserve a booth for a general admission show?

You can make a booth reservation by calling Park West at 773.929.1322

What time do they close on Saturdays?

I'm really short, Will I able to see anything from staying area? How high is stage elevated?

As long as you're not on the main floor you should be fine. There are elevated booths and tables in the back. The stage is probably about 5 feet high.

Before the show you can eat in the dining room or on the patio, weather permitting. They have a great burger and wine special some weeknights, and the burger is fantastic. There are also happy hour specials. City Winery is a negociant, and I think most of the grapes it buys are from the West Coast. The wines I tried were by and large in the new world style, although one of the reds had some old world complexity. On the whole, passable but not memorable. The show was fantastic. Sons started at 8 on the dot and played a thrilling 90 minute set. It's a great place to see an act up close and actually see them - no one stands, there isn't room! We had seats in the second row that were labeled wheelchair accessible, but they were not quite that - City Winery packs everyone in quite tightly. Fortunately two seats next to us were empty, giving us the space we needed. I would not, under any circumstances, order dinner inside the music venue, City Winery's encouragement notwithstanding. The tables are far too small. Do yourself a solid and eat in the dining room beforehand. And become a member - between the free valet and waived fees, it pays for itself after 2-3 shows.

I also had an egg frittata and an espresso martini. The egg frittata was low on salt and luckily I had the dip to eat it with. The skillet it came in was also so hot I burned my hand (I did get a warning from the server but still). The espresso martini also wasn't great and it had ice in it which made it watery so fast. My bf had the short rib sandwich and said it was delicious and for me the dip was my saving grace so if you're GF I wouldn't come here expecting a filling meal. Come for wine and dips and a patio vibe.

I took off a star because it's pricey -- I got the "milk punch" on their classic cocktail menu which was $25 and is pretty small, but it's a nice drink and tasted very much like a milk punch drink I got at a speakeasy back home (in Austin, TX). The bartenders were super nice and provided excellent service, no complaints there! The bathrooms were also immaculate. Overall, this is a very nice speakeasy! I've been to many in my day and the ambiance is definitely on par with the best, but I gotta say some other unique ingredients (ideally more floral options!) would really take their menu up a notch! People were standing right behind me to order drinks; I didn't feel overly crowded by any means but some who aren't used to that kind of bar/clubby vibe might feel that way. The music was a little loud to be heard over all the folks there, but I wasn't talking to anyone so it didn't bother me (was just sitting and reading a book). The bartender was really nice and attentive despite the fact that the place was so packed. I had a drink called the "Gentle Fish" which the bartender rec'd as a sweeter/more floral drink. Admittedly it was a little strong, but the flavor was nice! It was different from most other drinks I've had, and I enjoyed it. Was strong enough I definitely did not need another though. Of note, this place is downstairs under "The Hoxton" hotel, there's no entrance directly to the bar from the sidewalk/street (you have to enter the hotel lobby, then follow the signs toward the back and go down the elevator and/or stairs). There is a person who checks your ID when you enter and seats you if seats are available. The bathrooms were very clean. Not sure about parking but street parking is definitely very limited; I imagine a paid lot would probably be the easiest thing or taking the train from wherever you're staying if you can (which is what I did).

Having read reviews and menus for All Rise Brewing Co. online, we headed in for beers and dinner, then quickly realized the brewery was no more. No complaints, though--what we found was a laid-back, welcoming bar with plenty of local beer on tap and a menu full of interesting pizzas. We tried some beers, and split a Clam Bake Pizza--that was pretty awesome. Classic cult movies playing on the screens (I hadn't seen Buckaroo Banzai in awhile!) gave the place a little added atmosphere. Our bartender was super cool & helpful. The room got close to full as showtime neared, but was always comfortable. Patrons likely vary depending on what music's playing; this night was shoegaze/goth and the multi-generational crowd looked like fans of those genres. We ended up staying for the night's live show, which was a lineup of four bands (one touring and three local, I think) for a very reasonable price. We could take our drinks from the bar into the venue and/or order more in the lounge space. I wasn't alone, but would've felt safe and comfortable on my own there. The venue's an elevated stage with two sets of steps. There doesn't appear to be any back room; gear and cases were piled in an alcove. The sound and lights were good. Bathrooms were just fine. No seats in the venue, but it's cool to come and go to hang out in the lounge or bar. Cobra Lounge has a small, well-lit parking lot and there's plenty of street parking available too.
