First time here to see Frankie Quinones It's a beautiful venue and we got to sit close by the stage on the far left side bc some arr reserved but some are also first come first serve basis. Not sure about the food bc we didn't ask. We had one drink and it was just a. Regular corona beer and that's always good. We got to meet Frankie Q. His comedy show was great!!! Front row seat people should be told not to interrupt the comedian unless spoken too bc there was this one lady who kept interrupting Frankie Q. Overall a great show. There's accessible seating, although it's impossible to see the stage over the crowd from floor level accessible seats so it would be nice if they changed that which is why they lose a star. I had to move and stand to catch a glimpse of the performance which wasn't ideal for me and I had to leave my partner in the seats. The acoustics and the vibes are great. I got tickets from Do312 to attend a comedy show for John Bishop, a British standup comedian. I had not been to this venue in years and I looked forward to checking it out. We went through security and headed in, only to find that the layout was tables, booths, and counters, 85% of which were marked 'Reserved'. This was disappointing but not surprising, esp for free tickets. We got seats at a counter and ordered drinks at the bar. It's not clear if waitstaff served the area where we sat, so we got our own drinks. The bartender was efficient and friendly. We were able to see and hear fine from where we were, and John Bishop is definitely worth checking out. (warning he is not PC so he's not for everyone, but we found him funny enough). The restrooms were ok too, clean, and with an ATTENDANT no less! If you don't have cash, she takes Venmo and probably other CashApps. Make sure you please take care of them if/when you see them. read more

Huge venue and lots and lots of comfortable couch style seating that's available for first come first serve. Came here for daft punk night and was impressed by the space and dance floor. Sound was super loud but great quality. Drinks were steep like they are at all clubs. The employees there were kind. The crowd was chill and everyone respected each other's space. Locations is pretty easy to get to as well (right off the 22 Clark bus). I would happily come back for an event I'm interested in! read more

I have a few issues with this venue. 1. Will Call line wait is too long for the short line of people. Open up both sides. 2. Too loud for the size, the spreakers crackled many times, the sound engineer does not know what they are doing. 3. Chicago has a no smoking indoor rules which makes me love going to concerts again. The pot smoking was out of hand and I often felt sick to my stomach. People smoked in front of security, they don't care. Didn't make for a good long drive home as I am sure the contact high was on. Stupid on part of the venue. 4. Almost 17 bucks a beer. Worst prices for a Chicago venue. Would rather drive to MLK or Indo for a show instead of Park West. read more

We go to Park West every year for the Warren Miller screening which announces ski season, and it's always a pleasure! The staff here is very pleasant and friendly. Upon entering, our vaccination cards were checked as well as IDs. If over 21, you are given a wristband so you don't have to mess with pulling out your ID everytime you go to the bar. There are two bars within the event space, which I imagine makes ordering drinks here during a busy show pretty easy. The space is intimate, while still being able to hold a decent number of people. We sat in one of the cozy booths and had a server, making the whole process of order drinks even easier! Once seated, you don't have to wear a mask. They have a full bar with lots of options! I had a virtue cider, but took a sip of a margarita and it was tasty. While I've never seen a concert here, I would LOVE to! Parking in this area of Lincoln Park can be kind of difficult, so definitely give yourself plenty of time to find a spot if driving (but ubering is probably the better option). read more

An awesome show venue that doesn't have a bad viewing spot in the house. Good acoustics and great sight lines no matter where in the venue you are. Capacity is about 1,000 people so you get the close and personal experience with the artist. We saw the Hu and were situated on the rail. The place was packed, but comfortably so. The band put on a phenomenal show with great energy. Bar prices are consistent with other music venues. We had to show proof of our Covid vaccination and wear a mask. Not a fan of the mask after having been vaccinated, but it's a small sacrifice in order for live music to resume. We found a parking spot in the neighborhood with relative ease. A great venue and we had an excellent experience. I'd definitely consider a return trip for the right artist. read more

I honestly don't think there is a bad place to plant yourself for a show. I believe the show I attended was nearly sold out and there was so much room. When here recently for any event from Miller Lite called tap the future with Daymond John from Shark Tank. We have not been here for many, many years and this place looks like it is stuck in time. It looks just like I remembered it. A large space with a beautiful Dome ceiling and lots of room to sit and socialize. The Acoustics are great and you can hear the entertainment from anywhere in the room. I was told that you have to pay extra if you want a booth near the front, but I don't know if this is true or not. It was an enjoyable night in a place that holds many events and musical performances. read more

One of my very favorite places to see a show. It's a great size with excellent sight lines and sound. Its easy to park around there as well. The servers are quick and friendly. Pretty cool not to have to leave your seat to get a beer or something. They have a small baloney that is the great spot if it gets too crowded downstairs. I also think they tend to draw a great mix of talent here...there is a lot of history in this place. Seeing someone here is a very special intimate experience that you will not forget read more

I attended Park West for the first time almost 2 weeks ago for a concert. My friend purchased the tickets and it was confusing because we were under the impression that it was a standing only concert. When we arrived inside it was more like first come first serve seating and once that seating was filled there was standing room. If we would have known that we would have definitely arrived much earlier considering i didn't work to attend the concert. As we were standing around before the concert we saw several booths with reserved signs on them so we asked a host how do you reserve a booth which she mentioned calling a week ahead to reserve but stated that if the person didn't come that we could ask another host if we could sit there. When the seating host walked by a middle to old age lady I stopped her and said hi and stated we was wondering if we could sit in a booth and i was just stating we had never been there before as she Rudely cut me off and said I you would listen... I laughed it off and let her talk. She told us she didn't have room for 2 but if we didn't mind sharing with someone she could seat us.. Surprisingly we ended up sitting in a booth with a nice group of people so we were happy about that! The concert was nice and the view was good throughout the venue i think considering it's not very large. The drinks were pretty pricey about $ 40 for 2 drinks but overall nice place. I would probably go again if there was a artist i liked there now that i know how the venue functions. read more

Went here for a free Big Sean concert hosted by Pandora recently, and I was surprised in the best way when I walked through Park West's front doors! I've been to a lot of music venues all over the country, and this one is pretty unassuming from the outside: Aside from its Terminator-esque signage, it could just be any other clubby dance venue. But once you walk in, the open concept (thanks for the term, House Hunters) makes for an airy, comfortable, exciting space to see a show, because even when it got packed, it was fairly easy to walk around and dance during the concert. When I visited the restrooms for the first time about two hours after arriving, I noticed they were very well-kept, which is *very important* when you've got a bunch of drunk concertgoers who are rushing in and out of the stalls so as not to miss a moment of the show! So thanks for that, Park West patrons and employees! Y'all rock. My only slight disappointment is that the bar areas were so very tight, and there was only one main bar where everyone was packed like sardines, and a smaller side bar. Granted, this was an event where there was free alcohol, so it could've been crazier than usual, but I do think an extra makeshift bar area on the other side of the room might help the flow of traffic ever-so-slightly next time! :) Overall, I really surprisingly enjoyed this venue and I would suggest seeing a show here, as the atmosphere is fantastic and it's very clean. read more

I've only been to one show here but this place is great! the line moved quickly and the security and ticket staff were all pros. there are at least four bars -- one full bar near the entrance and two fill bars in the balcony upstairs, and another on the dance floor that I *think* only serves cans/bottles. the balcony was open to GA, not sure if that's always the case but seems likely because it's all stools and standing up there, no numbered seats. sound at the show was great. they had one technical problem with a screen that wouldn't work but it didn't change the show really. there is a section of reserved tables and lounge seating that's positioned kind of awkwardly, between the main dancefloor pit in front of the stage and another standing room area in the back by the entrance. I think it's separated from the pit by a few steps, not very raised and not blocked off or anything. it makes sense for a mellower concert but felt kind of weird for a show where most of the crowd is dancing. not a huge detractor though and definitely would come back here, loved the size of the space and how well run it was. I do think it's an AXS tickets app venue if I'm remembering correctly so download the app ahead of time if you don't have it. read more

This is one of my favorite venues to see a show at. I go to A LOT of live shows. I have gone to Park West to see Matthew Sweet and most recently K.Flay. First, Park West does not nickel and dime you like other venues I would mention (I'm talking about you HOB). I always find a place to sit, however you can go to the Standing room only section if you prefer to be closer to the stage. Many times you'll find artists in the lobby signing copies of their LP. There are several bars which makes the wait time short. The drinks are also reasonably priced. There is a bathroom attendant - this is helpful to know - bring a few dollars for a tip. Their bathrooms are actually clean. There is not a bad seat in the house. Who ever designed Park West was smart. I love this place - you will not be unhappy attending a show here. read more

I first came here to see Ron Pope in concert. It's possible to find metered parking in the area but give yourself some time to search since it's populated area. I appreciated the quick, hassle free entry without a bottlenecked line out the door. The ornate domed ceiling, and mixed bar and table seating made me feel like I was in a theater at a Casino. It's a very chill and simple venue which is great for an intimate artist- no barrier or guard rails between you and the artist, and a good opportunity for the artist to interact with the crowd. The sound system was good- everything sounded very articulate. When it comes to concert venues, I have no complaints as long as I can enjoy the music. read more

MINUS the artist I came to see, and the waitress that served my guest and I, the owner is extremely disrespectful, arrogant, rude and uncooperative. My guest and i were seated well before the concert started and had no existing issues. Our waitress introduced herself and served us with no error or issues. When the venue started to become packed, we leaned up top the couch back rest to see better. She told us as long as we didn't put our feet on the couches, We were ok. The seats are very low to the ground, so there was no need to put our feet on the furniture anyway. After a while, The owner came over and was YELLING at my guest and i, to "get off of her couches". Confused? I asked her what the problem was? She pointed her finger in my face, berating us like children. We had not been disruptive, irate, disrespectful... none of that. I attempted to speak with her, like an adult but she refused to hear me or listen to what i had to say and STORMED OFF. I wandered up front to inquire about management and security , only to find out, the woman who just scolded me like a 2 yr old, was in fact the owner. Disappointing. I ended up finding her and finally speaking to her in a more civilized conversation. I explained to her that several people were sitting on top of the wall and barricade of our area we were seated in and we simply could not see. With the approval of our waitress "as long as we didn't put our feet up" we were fine. She still had an attitude with her exchange but eventually agreed to have the randoms move, but by this time a bad taste was left in my mouth. I don't know if the owner was frustrated with the event, having a bad day, or is ALWAYS in this mood, but this behavior is horrible and this is no way to treat guests who have chosen to spend money in your establishment. We didn't commit any crimes or vandalize her place - as I'm sure she probably assumed. I can't help but wonder if race played a part in her distaste and dismissiveness. Either way lady, YOU ARE RUDE and i hope your energy changes for the sake of your business. We did not appreciate your child like behavior or the way you handle us after we spent a considerable amount of money in your "section" I left displeased with my experience and your waitress had to suffer for it!!!!! She also expressed to us that you are often a B***H and your vibe and energy is unpleasant. SEEK THERAPY! It helps. Your energy shouldn't be this negative when you service the community. As I'm writing this, several concert goers are "violating" her - ass to couch - demands *rolls eyes* but of course - she's no where to be found. I've been to Park West a couple of times for events and had a great time. My review is a little bias because what I love most is how convenient it is to get here from my house. I usually walk or take the #22 bus on Clark Street. The venue itself is pretty small and cozy. I'm an early bird so I always arrive at the event early to get a good seat. The events I've been to here included drinks so not sure on the prices, but my friend said it's pretty pricey, but expected with this area. read more
