They are known for their huge slabs of cake and usually have a great choice of carrot, cinnamon, banana, coconut etc. They aim to cater for gluten and sugar free diets too, so there is usually an option of cake-still delicious which is suitable for all. Long opening hours and open 7 days a week make this a welcome attraction out on the Gower and walkers, muddy or otherwise are warmly invited in.

The dinosaur park is kinda lame (maybe not for kids?!), but it is relevant: the fossils of several dinosaurs, as well as more "contemporary" predators (wolves, large hunting cats) and even our cave-dwelling, primitive human ancestors have been discovered within the three separate cave systems here at Dan-Yr-Ogof. Each of the three cave systems delves deep into the limestone hills; one system in particular stretching on for miles, although only a small portion is available for public exploration; the rest is either too narrow or unstable to support the casual spelunker. The rocky floors have been smoothed out for ease of accessibility, including wheelchair access (although it may be a little bumpy), and each system is lit by ambient white or yellow lights sequestered away among the nooks and crannies. Flashlights are provided but not required in most sections, which are awash with pale, spectral amber light. Each system is shorter than the last (the first being the most extensive, by far), the third being little more than a "lair" for the ever-changing predatory occupants that once inhabited it. Underground rivers, streams and waterfalls are abundant, and have crafted, over the aeons, sculpted some rather strange, unsettling or humorous shapes from the sedimentary rock. Although the caves are a tad "casualized" for my adventurous tastes, they are regarded as one of Britain's greatest wonders, and for good reason. Any cave-crazed crusader would be remiss to miss this inviting abyss!

It has a wide variety of stock including camping gear and outdoor clothes. Their water proof clothes are of excellent quality and I have often bought the kids school coats here. Buying here can be expensive but I feel the quality is reflected in this. Staff are friendly helpful and knowledgable. They will advise you on the best things to buy and the right equipment for the job.
