The staff are very friendly, greeting you warmly when you enter. They have a range of options available for a hair cut to match your budget. The Senior Stylists are the most expensive as the Junior Stylists are the cheapest. The shampoos and conditioners used and on sale in Aura are the expensive Tigi range. They smell delicious and make your hair feeling amazing. I've bought products from here when there has been a special offer for a shampoo and conditioner set and loved them. The stylists are very professional and really take the time to ensure you, and they, know exactly what you want. The trainees wash you hair in preparation for the cut and give you a lovely head massage when they apply the conditioner. The stylist then takes over to begin your cut. Again they take their time making sure they give you an excellent cut, blow drying it exactly how you want it. They also give you tips on styling your hair when you've washed it, and different ways you can wear your new style. They ask if you want any products and if you say yes they will recommend the best products for your hair, but if you decline they do not pressure you into buying anything. She was apologetic, but still, my glasses that are integral for me to see were broken. I couldn't see the end result of my haircut and was still charged the full price for it. (I needed assistance home/to cross the road because I could not see.) No manager was at the salon so called I the next business day to speak with one, but the person I spoke with was very suspicious and only after a lot of pressing was given the name of the manager. I also had to post to Facebook to try and get more information. I called again when I was instructed to, but again no manager was in. Finally after leaving my name and number did a manager finally call me back. And she was neither friendly nor willing to resolve my issue... I was not only blamed for my glasses being broken, but accused of knocking them off myself and causing their breakage. I challenged the manager; when one gets their haircut they tend not to move, but the manager was still defensive and blamed it on me. Finally it was agreed she would talk to her stylist and call me back to "verify" my story, but after two weeks I have not heard anything. It is shocking and I can't imagine what would happen or how a customer would be treated if an actual hair styling mistake was made. Customers beware.

They have a range of prices, starting at junior stylist and leading up to director and they ate very popular locally. But to me they are middle of the road, a few friends used to get their hair cut here and I never saw anything special. Perhaps one of the strangest Supercuts locations, it is located on Chester's St Werburgh Street,…read morebasically, next to the Cathedral, which is a slip road off the city's main shopping area, this is a place one would expect to perhaps find coffee shops and bars, so finding a hairdressers here is interesting, they sadly don't make the most of the location as it's hard to see the Cathedral from inside and impossible while you're having a hair cut, the poor construction of this store is a wasted opportunity of a hair cut with a view, which could give them the warrant to charge their high prices of £14.95 for a dry cut, I mean they might get away with this in large cities such as Manchester, London and Birmingham but charging that in the centre of Chester is just expensive and poor. The high-end prices didn't give me high-end treatment, I would even question if my barber was actually qualified to deal with men's hair (both staff members working were older women), she didn't even use any water on my hair when using the clippers to make it easier to cut (Every other barber I've been to has used some water?) The gown type sheet to cover me from hair also seemed useless, I'm not tall nor overweight and it didn't cover me, I ended up getting covered in hair especially as my hairdresser kept knocking it (the hair fell on me), which again isn't ideal. I was also confused why the staff needed to take a lunch break, an hour before closing when I was the only customer there as they seemed to time the break for as soon as a customer walked in; they also had to take my name to register me on their system which again I couldn't understand, I only wanted a hair cut! High prices and poor overall service is the reason Supercuts is failing (They recently entered administration) and the Chester branch here shows that more than most. 1*

My stylist was Kelly as soon as she sat down to speak to me i knew she knew her stuff, we had a 5 min consultation and then i had the most amazing shampoo and massage that seemed to last a long time thanks to Holly! i was given a choice of many refreshments and lots of up to date magazines, all threw out having my hair done i felt relaxed and comfortable and the conversation was flowing, what was great was the whole salon had a great buzz about it, all the clients interact with each other as well at the stylists. I needed my barnett sorting in preparation for a party and thought I'd try somewhere new; I went along to Retro, having booked an appointment earlier that day, and as I sat waiting for my stylist I began to worry that the outcome would be disastrous and my terrible new do would ruin the photographs of the evening's celebrations. However the professional manner of my hairdresser, Rebbecca, as she discussed my desired style and how she would create it, settled my nerves a little. In under an hour I had had a consultation, had my hair washed, (with the most divine products; the shampoo smells gorgeous0 layered and styled with a new full fringe, and blow dried beautifully with big bouncy curls. My hair is very long and thick and in my experience, hairdressers tire or simply bore when styling it, but Rebbecca was patient and did a great job; I was thrilled with the final result. The services are very reasonably priced as well; £22.50 for mine. My only complaint is the somewhat hazardous salon chairs! The protruding foot rests caused a couple of trips and a near concussion as another client took a tumble into the metal stair rail!

I just wish she worked Saturdays! Expect to pay about £30 for a cut and blow, and approx £50 for half head foils and cut.

They also serve women with it being a unisex salon, and have a welcoming female hairdresser. When I was a student, I got a student discount so I only paid £4 for my cut. Their prices for a standard hair cut like mine comes in at just £5.50 so this is a pretty reasonable price as opposed to a hair salon in the city centre which will always tend to be a couple of pounds dearer. What I like about Wynoskies, is that there service is always efficient and the staff are chatty making you feel at ease all the time. There are no having to book appointments or waiting for ages, especially if you go in the morning or early afternoon. Overall, I have never experienced any problems here so if you're after a quick, no fuss hair cut, then come to Wynoskies.
