I am 34 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with significant discomfort related to SPD. I am a paramedic and working has become extremely uncomfortable. My symptoms began around 28 weeks and I contacted my insurance who told me I was covered for chiropractic care and my copayment would be $40. This was confirmed by Jennah's staff at my first visit. I was asked to sign a form that reception explained contained a list of potential extra add ons that may be recommended for treatment that would not be covered by insurance. These included items like massage but I was told I had the option of declining anything insurance did not cover. My initial consult lasted about an hour and I was then scheduled for my second appointment several weeks later. Yesterday I woke up and was genuinely excited to receive chiropractic care as the pain had been worsening and even completely daily tasks were causing significant pain. When I arrived I was taken back to an office where Jennah explained their findings and began to discuss a treatment plan. She then began to talk about "financing options" and I was told I could choose between 24 and 32 sessions but the cost was going to be around $700 per month. I was confused as I was told my insurance covered chiropractor care. Jennah told me that insurance only covered adjustments and exams and not the extras that she was recommending including fascia work, stretching, and a strengthening routine. I asked if we could start with just adjustments and see if that improved my symptoms to which she refused and said that she would not treat me if I did not agree to the entire care plan and commit to spending over $2000. I left the office in tears. I have been suffering in pain for over a month waiting to begin treatment. Over the course of that month I could have found another practice that actually cared about their patients and worked within their insurance policy to make care accessible. Jennah initially comes off as very warm and caring but her entire demeanor changed when she realized I was not in a position to commit to spending thousands of dollars. I am extremely disappointed in Jennah and her practice. It is very apparent that Jennah only cares and wants to help if you have thousands of dollars of disposable income to spend at her office. Otherwise she will waste your time and string you along. Please learn from my experience and seek care elsewhere.

Overall, his approach was really similar to the one I've been receiving in SF, but where it varied, I could tell it was the right re-teaching my muscles needed. I'm only 39 and I manage psoriatic arthritis, Rhumatoid arthritis, cervical stenosis, scoliosis, nerve damage and carpal tunnel. I was trusting they knew what was best for me. (5 days later to today-it still hurts btw...it shouldn't hurt more than one day) and I had an appointment today that I just came from. I just tried asking him well, maybe it didn't need to be aligned and you did and so it got angry and needs to heal. he reccomended that I come back tomorro. I tried pushing the opinions of others out of my head. as I was sharing my excitement about this new journey, I was warmed-NO. PAUL IS A FARM. he gets people in and out in and out, in and out. today i tried understanding what was happening and why he was suggesting multiple days in a row- even when working out you need to rest those muscles to let the body heal. adjust. I was mentioning this and he got defensive. arms went up and across his body giving closed off body language and he started getting labored breathing. I apologized for questioning his experience however at the same time I only get one body and I'm just trying to get information and do what's best for it. I need to communicate to better understand. this upset him. he didn't like my questiones and responded very condescending. told me "ok fine don't come tomorrow, don't get better" i was shocked at how he was handling my questions about pain. not once did I say he aligned me incorrectly but he was defensive regardless and even said I didn't do it wrong. I had to explain I never thought that, only maybe my lower back didn't need an alignment. again-he only smiled and continued to cross his arms. I felt like he just wanted my insurance money. this interaction solidified that concern.
