I ended up staying at this hotel for almost a week on a work trip. For where I was working, this location could not have been better. I had positive experiences with every staff member I encountered. The front desk staff were lovely and helpful, and the folks who worked in the dining room were wonderful. One person, a former flight attendant, always greeted me warmly at breakfast and was helpful. There was one night when the bar was closed, and we were invited into the restaurant for drinks. Even though we were just having drinks, we were waited on by the nicest man who made great recommendations and a perfect balance of chatting with us and giving us our time.
As a frequent business traveler, I'll highlight a few things to consider:
1. The single rooms are small. At the same time, however, the room I had had an outdoor space, which, although it was too cold to sit on for long periods of time, helped. But if small spaces are an issue for you, the room could feel claustrophobic. I worked out of that room for several days and it was a bit tight.
2. The bathroom was probably the size of the room part, which was great -- the shampoo is affixed to the shower wall, so if you're someone who needs conditioner and/or hand lotion, be sure to pack your own or pick some up at a store that's about a 10 minute walk away.
3. There's no refrigerator in the room, and no coffee maker. The latter was the toughest one for me as someone coming from a distance.
4. There is WiFi, and it worked reliably and consistently the entire week.
For a boutique hotel, it definitely suited my needs. There's a train stop right across the street, which is convenient for going into Frankfurt or into the downtown area. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, too. I will likely stay here again if in the area. read more
