The spa and pool are extensive with various saunas, large sitting area with teas. I recommend getting half board as the food is very good with extensive options staring with buffet salads including seafood salads, then main coarse are brought out and finally dessert buffet including gelato each night. You are given a diner menu at breakfast to choose from and if you need dietary specifics such as gluten free you write that on your menu choice and they were very good about accommodating. Also at breakfast there is a 4 page itinerary for the day and next day with hikes, bike tours and farm tours to choose from - all complimentary, but don't' forget to tip your guides. They have mountain bikes and hiking poles to borrow. There is also complimentary afternoon cakes each day - you can't go hungry. The location is a small village with many nearby ski, hiking and biking trails.

It is located in the heart of alps surrounded by divine natural beauty. The hotel itself is very cute and cozy. It has a huge dining hall/Bar on the ground floor. They also have a numerous spa amenities such as sauna, turkish bath, sleeping room, and my favorite of all hot tub on the patio that overlooks the mountains. A BIG YES!! The hosts treat all their guests like their family. The food was exceptionally good. Everything was made from scratch and served with perfection. The dinner menu changes daily based on the chef's special. Be sure to come with a huge appetite! The breakfast is a buffet style. They serve a wide range of bread, prosciutto, cereal, cheese and beverages. If you are here during the ski season, you can buy the ski pass directly from the hotel. The menu and themes were difference each night right down to unique tablecloths and waist staff attire to match the food themes. Loved the grilled octopus. Afternoon cake and coffee was complimentary. Breakfast was extensive. You cannot go hungry here! You can book hiking tours directly with the hotel also complimentary, but don't forget a tip for your guide. You can also hike directly from the hotel along the river or from one of the cable cars.

Wood floors, nice outdoor furnishings, also a cozy bar with fireplace that has a great selection of local spirits. Spa: Super relaxing, with steam room, sauna, indoor pool, "aria fresca" zone where you can sit outside when taking a break from the sauna while snow gently falls on top of you. Very clean. The "relax area" has daybeds, hot tea/tisane and delicious local apples so you can read a book or just chill. Food: Breakfast: the breakfast buffet had many delicious options, including a rotating spread of breads made in house (the apple strudel was a highlight) and scrambled eggs. They served eggs with pancetta which is like a more delicious version of bacon. Also try the yogurt which is made in the region and the fruit jams. Dinner: Every night a 5 course dinner with homemade food is served, the salad course is a buffet with fantastic array of cold salads. Every day the menu changes and you need to reserve your spot ahead of time. Service: Courteous and attentive, all the staff were happy to share recommendations and were multilingual in English, German and Italian. It's a really nice setup- the last time I was at a hotel with a ski and boot storage was in Japan and it was slim lockers near the smoking room smelling like a gym locker. Over at Apparthotel Germania the room is nicely accessible down an exterior door with three stairs rubber matted- then through a secured door you can get to the boot storage- it looks like it's setup plugged in to cycle drying and venting to reduce odour. There was no gym locker smells here. The laundry was coin operated for $6 euros to wash and $6 euros to dry. You can actually manage with the wash only the spin cycle is pretty good. I would say it's one of the most expensive washing facilities I've been too because the wash dry combo cost, more expensive than doing laundry in Hong Kong which was like $10 euros. There are some sauna amenities here but didn't use it. The last minute room I booked was an apartment- it had the dishes and pans for cooking-no sponge for washing so a bit of a struggle to clean dishes. The stove is gas- I didn't have a lighter so the desk was nice to offer that. The beds were individual mat pulled together side by side. It's a very quiet place to sleep. The hotel is just a wonder of surprises with its rustic look and the tech from relatively new elevator to keyless entry. It's quite consistent to the tech on the local mountain restaurants. Breakfast cost about $15 euros per person which had to be paid extra and reserve night before- because we were in apartment style. Lots of selection of bread and jams, limited hot food just steamed egg and scrambled egg and everything else was cold. Some cold meats and cheese. Hot coffee is serviced with a foamed milk. Some juices offered but nothing special. Some drink dispensers were turned off- maybe because of capacity and cleaning headaches. Looks like there were two rounds of breakfast sit downs. The owner was so nice to ask me the following day if I was joining for breakfast just so they have enough time to make sure they get enough food for everyone- I declined. It was just a first night thing and opted for some local coffee using the Moka pot in the apartment and local bread from the bakery. But no oil is in the room. Food in this town is pretty expensive but accommodation is quite reasonable. So just jump the local train to get some affordable groceries. This establishment has rooms with apartments and rooms only with half board (breakfast only) and full board (two meals served). If you reserve earlier you can get the room only which is cheaper. But if you're looking for the cook yourself options that's here too. Overall great place to stay.
