It was strangely quiet in the California Ave area, and I cruised around trying to get closer to where I wanted to be. I saw the garage at 350 Sherman, went in, and the spacious garage was barely 10% full. Free parking and hardly anyone here, what a deal! The place looks brand new, has charging stations, and is right behind California Ave, which is closed to traffic. Maybe next time I should check out the view on the upper level.

Tried Quik Park SJC (aka Airport Parking Connection) during a 4-day trip in December 2019, and was…read morepleasantly surprised with the experience. However, there is a serious lack of signage and directions, so here's some guidance for how to use the service, based on my experience on that trip. The parking is in the Doubletree Hotel parking lot. You enter the self-parking lot at either of the 2 gates and take a ticket. Don't be put off that there are no signs anywhere mentioning Quik Park. After you park anywhere in the lot, walk with your baggage to the front of the lobby of the hotel. There, a hotel shuttle (there's no Quik Park markings) will take you to your terminal at the airport. Returning to the Doubletree, wait for a Doubletree shuttle at the stop number 8 if you're arriving at terminal A or the International terminal, or stop number 10 for terminal B pickup. When you get back to the hotel, go to the regular hotel check-in desk and present your ticket and your printed voucher (make sure you print out and bring the voucher with you). The clerk will validate the parking ticket, and you return to your car and exit the parking lot using your validated ticket. All in all, the process was great, and now that I know what to do (and so do you), the experience next time will be even better. I haven't used long term parking at SJC before, so I can't compare Quik Park to the alternatives, but the experience was on par with other off-site airport parking I've used at other Bay Area airports. My cost was $12 per day plus tax and surcharge for a total of $53.84. I've attached a photo of a sign at the hotel about the shuttle service.
