As the times changed, so did my library habits, but libraries, including this Broward County Library branch in Margate, is just as useful as ever. Okay, so honestly I came to get a new card so I could connect it online to get audiobooks. I wasn't planning on checking books out, but that being said, since I had to go inside to get the card, I figured I might as well look around. The librarian who helped me get a new card was very pleasant. A library card is $1.50 (CASH ONLY). The library is on the smaller side, but still effective. A large variety of magazines, DVD's, CD's, a few computers to use, a copy machine, and all your typical selections of books in the dewey decimal system, which to be clear, I'm not sure is in use anymore. I was pleasantly surprised as to how many people were inside which kind of warmed my heart; knowing there is still a need for libraries is a great thing. It may not be the biggest or brightest library, a little outdated, yes, but still a great library none-the-less.

I usually go to the Deerfield library filled with smelly patrons, loud children and kind librarians. Even though the Boca library was beautiful everyone who worked there was kind of rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or did not want to help me print my paper. It cost me $.80 and seemed to be a bit of an annoyance for the people working there, I definitely will not be back. Not everyone who worked there was unpleasant but from now on, I will stay in Broward where the employees are nice.

My heart always brings me back and is where I am the happiest. Love how they have rebuilt the city especially east of Federal. I remember coming here 15-20yrs ago and wow. Very happy & I don't think I'll leave unless its to move to Italy! :)) But the library is great for studying. Doesn't have a huge selection of books but enough to keep your neurons stimulated. They also have many free classes for the community. Today I attended a meditation class before I did my school work. Very clean and the plus it's across from the beach! :)) I'm glad they decided to keep the library in this location! When my laptop broke, I would frequent this library to use the computer. The staff there is so nice and would extend my time on the computer whenever I asked, as long as it wasn't busy and there were no reservations after me. There are always kids here so it seems like a great place for kids to spend time.

The people that work here are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to the new books, old books and where to find virtually any of the books on the racks! This library is always so clean and they always have a nice amount of copies of new releases so I don't need to be put on a waitlist to check the book out. I love that the library is two floors and the second floor is always so nice and quiet. The bathrooms here on both floors are always very clean as well and the tables are nicely spaced out in the library so I don't feel like I am ever hovering over other patrons while I am here! They have a friends of the library where you can buy second hand books and the deals they have on them are wonderful. I usually end up walking out with a stack of books way too high, for less than ten dollars. The best part is the money goes directly towards the library and helping run events that are open to the general public!

That said, I was genuinely happy to walk into a physical library. There's something comforting and nostalgic about browsing the shelves and being surrounded by books. While I'm sure many people rely on digital resources these days, I'm grateful that libraries like this still exist and continue to serve the community. I really like this library...I have been here a couple of times both to just pick up my held items…read moreand to pick up materials when I'm in the mood to browse the shelves. I like that it has two levels so if it's loud in one area, I can hide out somewhere else. The staff has always been helpful if I need assistance, and the ceiling windows make it look extra clean and open. My favorite feature is the two drop off boxes in the parking lot. I don't have to get out of my car to return materials and I love the convenience of that.
