This was a rare occurence. I just came from a shopping center that did NOT have a lot of people…read more Shopping centers in the Philippines tend to be very busy any day and any time of the week. So to go to this shopping center where almost every business had zero customers was very surprising. The view of the water was wonderful. They also have replicas of numerous landmarks of the world. Specifically, you can see Big Ben, Statue of Liberty, Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This shopping center is called Sands Gateway Mall, and it is situated close to the water in Danao City, Cebu. Really pretty location that has only been open a couple of years. Hopefully, the only reason they were slow is because most of the mall's occupants are reataurants. Also, we came at an odd time (between 2 and 4 pm). Metro will be opening next door in the next year or so. That will increase customer traffic for sure. In the meantime, drop by this mall for a meal if you are wanting to avoid long lines.

In the good ole U.S.A going to the malls is something I do not like at all so I rarely step inside one. In the Philippines, though, I look forward to stepping inside their doors. Robinsons Galleria in Cebu City is one of the newer and largest ones in Cebu. There are about 4 or 5 levels of shops to explore. I do enjoy exploring and getting exercise in this air conditioned haven. Terrific selection of stores and food places plus so much else. Most of the staff I come across are friendly. Robinsons is super clean, and it is not too crowded. If you are a foreignor visiting Cebu, chances are you will be a fan of Robinsons Galleria too. Step inside and find out.
