The last time I was in Cebu was 2017 and we went to the SM Seaside. 9 years later, we're back, and this time we came to SM Cebu City. The set up is basically the same but more vendors since 2017. I love the food court area and the different varieties of Filipino food they serve there. I can't do or trust street foods. read more

How incredibly convenient: it is LITERALLY just across the street from our hotel! As a tourist, I had essentials I needed to score: mostly toiletries,, couple of shirts, face towels. etc... you know... things I'd rather buy vs bring. I also needed to do foreign currency exchange. So, when I say this place is convenient, it really is THAT: they had all that I needed and more all in one place. It's also pretty cool that they have staff available to help you at your whim. Whether it's ringing up and packaging my items, or signing up online for the foreign exchange, it sure made my stop(s) easy and convenient. They also had plenty of cashiers at every corner so there wasn't a lot of wait when I was ready for the purchase or completing all my transactions. But it isn't just exclusively SM products. It's a mall, so there are plenty of stores for additional shopping. There's also a whole floor of food courts and a whole other floor of restaurants for a level-up dine in experience. November 27, 1993 - this mall was built and I remember when I was a kid my parents would treat us here over the weekend (watching movie on theater and buy new toys and clothes). It was always a fun memories! I also used to date here with my fling/s when I was younger! My go-to mall every-time Sinulog was celebrated. I got lotsa memories here for sure. FF... this mall seems to be so small now. Packed with new stalls showcasing different products to sell. Though most of the stores that I grow up still exist here which I am super elate to see there are also new stores that came in. SM City Cebu will always be part of my childhood. And I am just happy that despite the crisis they are still standing and serving their patrons. There are pretty much routes coming here so no worries visiting this mall. Jeepneys and taxis will be your bff. If you're in Cebu come and visit this mall and support the vendors here. They got plenty of restaurants and a mom and pop stores to choose from. I love SM - short for Shoe Mart! Don't ask me why it's called SM. I believe it's a name brand and it sticks. SM has been around for as long as I remember like 7yrs old. Way back when. Anyway, this one in Cebu is the smaller version of their super market and the clothing department. Again, a place to shop for foods, clothing, accessories and pasalubong. Pasalubong means anything bought for a gift when I go back to where home is. They are gifts or goods that are only made in the Philippines: snacks, accessories and even clothing. It's fun and easy to get used to while visiting. It can be identified as peoples hang out place. Did I mention foods? I think I have. Endless eating if you may and shop til you drop kinda place. This SM though seems older but definitely clean and very organized. Prices? Manageable. read more

SM City Cebu is one of the largest malls in the city. Like other malls in the city, it has about 4 or 5 levels. The selection of shops and restaurants is beyond numerous. It is a great place to exercise. In the Philippines, it is also the perfect place to go for air conditioning!! SM City Cebu is more crowded than the other malls. Because of that, they appear not as clean and bright as the competition. Would rather go to their competition in order to avoid the throngs of people here. That being said, they are better than most shopping complexes in the States. read more

solid variety of shops here. it's so gigantic it probably has its own zip code. it felt like one of the hotels on the Vegas strip -- super easy to get lost in there and so much to do. the main reason i wanted to come was to peruse the Plains and Prints shop since i had been ordering them online. super happy to visit the actual store. the food court and souvenirs are at the very bottom level. the technology stuff is on floor 3 (including Anker! [the absolute fastest way to charge your phone]). they have national book store as well as a smaller book shop called book sale. there's a huge food court in the basement level. (just make sure you don't order from Turks. it is NOT what good turkish food [or any good food at all] tastes like. it's downright nasty.) as i said before, it's super easy to get lost in here. make sure you and your party both have your phone charged so you can contact each other in case you get lost. hahaha read more

One of the biggest shopping malls I've been to in Cebu. There's lots of shops and restaurants and you will find a lot of the big name shops in the States here - Uniqlo, H&M, Forever 21 and Timberland to name a few. Plenty of places to get a haircut or get the nails done for the ladies. I think there must have been at least half a dozen of these places located within the same vicinity of each other on the 3rd floor. I went to Salon De Rose (a chain) for a haircut for about 120 pesos (a little under $2.50 USD)! The time of we went, the Sinulog festival just occurred in Cebu, so they had an area filled with photos and pieces from this big festival. It was quite interesting. My only complaint about this mall is that you can easily get lost in here and there's really no directory or information booth you can go to ask for directions or have a sense where things are. The best bet - ask the ladies who man the elevators for help! read more

SM Cebu is as of yet the city's premiere shopping center. Sure there are other malls in the city byt SM is SM and they say that an SM in the area is a sign if progress. This is where you can so all your shopping. They have a department store, food shops, clothing, gadget, home appliance - basically everything you need when you have money to spend. read more

this mall is huge. lots of places to shop and eat but a little run down. also don't like the fact that there was a huge rat running along the ceiling while I was getting a massage and the lady tells that it's normal. Gross. Christmas here is cool though when they put up the Christmas village. read more

Shoutout to that host/server in Cabalen SM-Cebu who blatanly ignored us last night. It felt so ridiculous because she was only focused on potential costumers from outside but once you're inside their restaurant, they didnt give a flying fuck. Really bad service. I asked another crew to take a picture of our family as it was a reunion dinner. And we were once again jilted!! And i said to myself, " wow, seven years have gone and the Cebu i knew before was totally different from what it was". Food was great but the service was unimpressive. My family and I made a pit stop here while passing through Cebu City.. This place is HUGE. It is filled with everything you can possibly need. Anywhere from dining, shopping for clothes, to shopping for food. They have salons, spas, dentists, etc. The spa and massage stores my wife and I visited were delightful and reasonable with prices. The movie theater is in good shape and you can bring outside foods inside while watching which was a huge plus. We got to pick our favorite foods to go and eat them in the theater..
