A community like Hornby has issues with garbage (Note to all visitors - if you visit this island, make sure you dispose of your garbage thoughtfully, or better yet, take it back off the island with you!!) and this is a practical solution that not only recycles most of the islands waste, but allows people in the community to come to the store and take what they want/need for FREE! It is lucky I don't live here. I'm sure I didn't technically NEED the gumboots, old school cassette recorder (working!), paperback books, wooden chopping board and flip flops that my boy and I grabbed from the free store, but I'm sure glad we scored them! If I lived here I think my house would be its very own crazy-lady jumble store, so beware the temptation to grab everything in sight. This is a great community service that is obviously run with the care and attention of some dedicated volunteers. Bravo, Hornby!

First time they advised me of this they were rude and offered very poor consumer service. So next time I went back well before 10am at about 9.40am to the get the "same day service" the owner said they could not help me and the owner displayed the same rude attitude, almost as if seeking to provoke. I pointed out that this was not what what she had told me before and she proceeded to begin to insult me and make up stories. I wont be going back! Buyer beware - they are not trustworthy and rude. Also the shirts that I did have cleaned there before always came back with some of the stains on them. The younger lady who works there is nice but the older lady who I presume is the owner offers what i can only describe the worst customer service I have come across. I see there are complaints about them on the better business bureau.
