Upon arriving at our usual…read moretime to beat the heavy traffic, we were told through the intercom we couldn't come in until 5 pm. We had no where to go for 1 1/2 hours and it was stifling hot outside. The lady who told us we have to come back didn't greet us to explain the new rules. There was no prior warning from the week before announcing this change at the movie night. Also, there was no sign in the vestibule making us aware of the change. This situation did not make us feel welcome and inviting. I don't understand why the 5 pm time to enter the movie room wasn't announced at the previous movie night? We drove from a distance and were very hot so we decided to go back home. Why is this church not hospitable and welcoming? Where's the good and timely communication? Why the cold demeanor?

I was just married here over the weekend and we had a great ceremony. Father Joe even surprised us with Ava Maria accompanied by him playing the cello. My son was baptized here, and my niece confirmed here. We could not ask to belong to a better parish. The Summer Fest in August is a great family get together as well. The only thing that I would ask that the church work on is the cry room. There is only one, and every time I have needed to go in with my son it's full of people without children. We just quietly make our way into the front and hope we aren't too distracting.

(which was not the case). she was very critical of me so I stopped attending and found a better church. also there was another woman who I worked with at a restaurant and we were friends, but several years later she and her husband would come into the restaurant where I worked and give me dirty looks. since she disliked me that much why didn't she and her husband go to another restaurant? very strange and weird person. how many restaurants are there in detroit? a million. sad unhappy person. goodbye.

The older kids look out for the younger kids, and it is amazing to see the relationships that they develop with each other. The teachers at Peace are amazing...they honestly care about every student that enters their classroom. Any time I have had a question or concern, they have been prompt and worked with me to remedy the situation and put my mind at ease. I love that my children are not only learning the state requirements but they are also learning the love of Jesus and surrounded by it every day! My daughter started high school this year, and chose to go back to public school. She has straight A's, and is well-equipped with the education she needed. I highly recommend Peace Lutheran School to anyone looking for a Christian school for their child.

All of the music was fun to sing along to, and they had a game room and a gym for kids to hang out in before or after service, which really helped encourage new kids to come. I miss going here!
